bro gets the sniffles when it drops just below freezing and YET chooses to head towards the Great White North during winter when he could be enjoying the best weather in the world currently ... South Florida WInters lol
Hey R, the farther North you go, the more RISK there is, due to the extreme cold weather. I’d advise against it, until maybe April or May. The roads are gonna be super slick, dude. Besides, you need new tires, too.

The UT Gardens, Knoxville, is one of the three sites of the State Botanical Garden of Tennessee. This outdoor learning laboratory is open year-round and is free to the public.
I support the car life journey but I dont understand the strategy heading north in a tiny car that can't handle snow that has no room to pack the gear to keep warm. I get wanting to escape Florida though, the northwest coast is really nice and doesent really get winter cold.

Watching your videos makes me realize how much money I wasted while working at this one job. I had a job that was three days a week 12-13 hr shifts and about an hour drive one way. I'm realizing I could of just decked out my car to sleep in their parking lot for two nights out of the week. Could of saved gas money and had more time to sleep.
I guess you have confidence in the Prius on ice roads. It seems like a nice vehicle. Glad you’re in good spirits. I support your decision to head north. Maybe they’ll tip more there💰💸
I had an idea for your channel. You could go town to town around America dropping deuces in the local McDonald's. Do the East coat then West then central. Near unlimited content! You could be dueceman!
My elderly dad and I are gonna be homeless and living in a car in a few months (hopefully, rather than on the streets). That’s the fate of a lot of people now I guess since no one can afford rent. I had no idea you were living in a car now. I’ve been watching you since like 2014. Life changes fast. I’m gonna check out all your recent videos after Africa and see what I can learn because I think my setup is gonna be a lot more like yours and less like the van life hobbyists with all their fancy stuff. Good luck man.
May I suggest Thailand or other areas on SE Asia, Vietnam, Cambodia…etc. My SS covers my monthly needs without a sweat. I feel very safe and the Thai people are pleasant. Average daily wage here in Chiang Mai is $10. Let that sink in.
wow really? $1000 for a roof box, here is £500 but even still, i only just looked because i thought it sounded expensive, never knew they were that much even here in the UK! Sounds like it could be a decent purchase though to be honest. Was going to mention as well, i don't know if it's just my useless mcdonalds or if it's UK mcdonalds in general but we can't get decaff coffee here that i've found, which is annoying because i can only really drink decaff.
Do u do regular oil changes and maintenance. You drive a lot. I do oil changes and new oil filter every 4000 miles on my old Toyota. The more the better. Doing it yourself is probably too dangerous on a hybrid with all that high voltage. I would also change the tires, especially if they have cracks.
You're out of your mind. I am freezing my behind off out north here... And I consider myself well-prepared for it - clothing and accessories wise... If you have never had to dress for the winter before then you have no business being here.
Dude, u are doing everything ass backwards..u should be living in your car in Florida NOW land then when it gets too hot in Florida in June..head due NORTH around June 15and arrive close to Canada around July 1 then in September 15, head back south arriving back in Florida on Oct 15..my sister lives in her car as well..a 2016 Toyota Corolla…drives for uber makes 22 yr..and can’t afford the rent on a one bedroom apartment here in Phoenix..at $1690 a month..so she now lives in her car as well..

Agree!
Those tires aren't going to cut it.
Ryan, so nice to see you happy.. and not suffering from malaria
A Triple A membership would be a good safety net to have for your travels.
He would need a registered place of residance for that
Great episode. You seem the most at peace I've ever seen you. I love that.
Why not be a truck driver where you can sleep in a bed and still do the videos
@@edwinodus That sounds perfect but I think too much work and oversight for free spirited Boundless.
Perfect time to get into that field. They can’t find anybody to do the job and they pay over $100,000.

Yeah the comfort inn is a great sleeping spot. Most middle class and working class hotels are great overnight sleeping spots

As someone who’s lived in the mountains of Colorado, I’ll tell you now you NEED snow tires up north. Also, those tires are well past worn out already.
ryan doesn't seem to realize the more he drives around the country, the shitload more he's gonna have to put money back into the car.

You need new tires for sure. Those tires aren't good for snow or ice on a good day, and they are warn down. Stay safe, brother.
It seems more peaceful to go where it’s cold. Less chance someone will hassle you on parking. Smart
i dunno about that, there also isnt a homeless culture near as much in those places. Probably wont put up with him loitering in near as many places

you can rent a storage space somewhere.
I think he just wants location independence. He wants to own his storage rather than rent a property or storage space.
Make sure to leave a shoutout to that McDonald's on Yelp. "The ice cream machine was broken again, but the 5-star restroom made up for it."
