I have digitally cataloged my paper pumpkin elements in MS Access. It has a "key" for each kit with the kit info: name of the kit, month, and year. The key is included with all other entries: stamp image, embellishments, ink spot color, images of finished project, and soon images of the entire kit contents. I've even geeked out so far that the background of the form pulling all the info to one place is the RGB color of that month's ink spot (usually). It works for me but has the occasional glitch. For stamps and dies (including paper pumpkin), I have images of them printed and attached to colored copy paper according to category. The colors were used on the stamp case inserts for my retired stamps. When a set retires, I place a small blue sticker on the set. Like Cheryl's Dies book, this allows me to browse through the stamps and dies when I'm needing something or like Cheryl, I'm looking for a stamp's or die's home. I also print out a copy of the sentiments and categorize them on colored copy paper according to stamp set or die set category. I use small stamps to tag the sentiments by type, such as a lit candle for celebration (birthday, congratulations, way to go, etc.) and a heart for love & friendship. This isn't as quick as Cheryl's database. It's OK, but as my collection grew, I've often considered putting the sentiments in a database!

    Hello there...
I'm currently interested in cataloging all my stamp and dies. I've actually been reading about Airtable. My question is with all the cataloging that you have and do, can you still use the "free" plan or do you need to purchase the "plus" plan? Thanks in advance for your help!😊

Thanks for watching! I still only use the free plan! Here's another video I did recently about Airtable, if interested: ua-cam.com/video/YAkiybMZ6mM/v-deo.html

@@cherylpiotrowski6684 .. I have another question if you don’t mind? How do I tag a location of my stamps and dies. For example, Christmas C-1 through C- 50 or whatever, how do I create a line for the actual number associated with my products and link it to the location? Thanks! 😊

Do you mean a physical location? I don’t have a indication for this because all of my stamps are on the same shelf, which are separated current, retired to keep, and retired for sale (I have another video on this playlist that shows how I organize my stamps). So I have a column on Airtable for these three categories. But you could just create another column for location and then create drop downs for the various C-1, C-2 like you mention; hope that makes sense!

@@handstampedbycheryl yes.. physical location. I probably have 800 - 1000 combined stamp and die sets.. I keep them all in 2 cabinets on roll out drawers. There’s just so many.. I need to catalog their location or I’m still trying to find a Christmas stamp set amongst 100 of them. Any advice? The numbering system seems to be the easiest. Thanks for all your help.
