Ok, I just have to say I'm in love with your voice! Please don't take this the wrong way, but your mannerisms remind me of my dad (who has now passed away), and I love watching your videos. I'm so glad I got to meet you last year. You are such a kind likeable guy! Loved this video as well as I'm trying to organize my craft room by just finding a place for everything. Perhaps once I've done that, I might use Airtable.
Love this idea to replace the little notebook I carry so I don't duplicate supplies (again). I already carry phone everywhere - now I can ditch the notebook 😊😊😊. Will be worth the initial time investment I think. TFS
I love it, Sandy! Once you get a few things entered, it becomes less typing and more tapping so any work you put in to your database immediately yields a small efficiency improvement in future data entry. It's great! I keep waiting one day for an employee in Michael's to stop and ask my I'm scanning all their bar codes as if I were doing inventory... :)
Hello there! I just found your video! A couple of questions, fee for using AirTable? I see that they have a free plan. Is it enough space to catalog all your crafty items? I want to have a description of what's on each stamp set/die Can this be set up as a different tab? thanks so much!
Hi, thanks for the great video. It was so informative. I wondered if you can tell me how much storage your databases use up on your mobile devices? I have a massive amount of craft supplies and don't want to start loading them in if I am going to need to upsize my plan. Thanks so much for your time!
The database is stored "in the cloud" so the footprint on your phone is very small. AirTable does need an Internet connection to work, though, as a result. In general, text doesn't take very much space to store at all. Any photos you add to records will likely be the only thing of any substance and AirTable handles them very well.
Thanx for providing this demo. I do have a question, you mentioned a drop down so you don't have to retype things like Supplier over and over, I don't seem to have the drop down list. Am I doing something wrong?
Thank you! Currently, AirTable assumes you already have bar/QR codes created and will ingest a bunch of different types, but there's not currently the facility to create/print them from within the app. I've seen feature requests, though, and it appears to be somewhat on their radar.
Great video! I am curious if you have come across any limitations since starting to use AirTable? I like to research the good and the bad before starting to use a program. Imputing all my craft supplies will be a big job and I just want to make the right choice. Thanks for any advice in advance. :)
No, not really. There are use cases far more involved than cataloging craft supplies that AirTable is used for. The nice thing is that it's generally pretty free-form. You define the field types you want in place rather than trying, so you're free to store as much or as little information as you want.

Thanks for the sweet words, Janice! *hugs*

This was a great demo. Thank you so much. I have to check out the rest of your channel because this was so good!
Thank you! I am definitely going to use this!!! May have questions but I have this video to come back to!
it's a very intuitive app and AirTable has a lot of video tutorials, too, but definitely reach out if I can help!
I'm going to try this app!!! I'm afraid to put the price in to Catalog everything in my studio 😉 I love the bar code feature!!! Thanks.
Thanks Darrel. Great video
Donna V I'd love to see the database for your amazing craft room!

Nevermind, I found the answer. You have to set the field type to Single Select!
Nice video, do you know if this app create Barcodes for inventory that you have that may not have barcodes?

Can you do key word searches? IE sentiment... happy birthday...if put under notes, can you search by that?
Tammy Folaron You sure can. Any data you enter can be used as a search term or filter.
I watched your video, but really struggling how to add columns
is airtable better than Evernote? Can I transfer from Evernote?
I can't view the video. I keep getting a "something went wrong" message. I've tried on both a tablet and desktop.
Sounds like UA-cam might have been having an issue. The video plays fine for me and others.
What about downloading from an EXCEL spreadsheet?

I pay for Evernote and its very frustrating to use.
