Hey man i love your stuff, ive been a fan of your music breakdowns for agesespecialy the LoL stuff. theres this song from solo leveling called dark aria, you should give it a listen. The scene it plays in the show is beautiful. Also i would recommend the anime as its awesome😃😃😃
As an Indian, I was laughing when he started singing in English, I was completely not expecting this at all. These kinds of melodies can be easily heard in temples.

That's so true, it does sound like the bhajans one would hear in a temple! I was expecting Hindi/Sanskrit too, and while I'm not very into the vocals, I really like the broader theme and instrumentation of this song (especially the santoor, so pretty)
Is it something about how english words arent meant to match the flow and style of this music but rather the native language fits better?

@nightowlowo149 yeah, I think so. But isn't that what music is, mixing different cultures to create a new flavour. Some may be good some may be bad. This is definitely on the better side since it didn't attempt to downplay the native melody just because of the use of foreign lyrics.
@@nightowlowo149 Kind of, but (for me) it's a little more about the style itself rather than it being in English. This kind of singing (slightly off-beat syllables, stretching them out a bit more than expected) is heard in temples and during ceremonies at home as religious hymns (in the respective native tongues, of course). So this somewhat droning style has a very different significance. Having said that, I do NOT imply that Rev1999 is being sacrilegious or whatever, I love that they've stayed true to the vocal style.

I was just genuinly curious about other cultures so its nice to learn a bit now and then.
I love the way this game makes you feel the atmosphere of each event/character. I don't think about its plot too much, but I'm still really absorbed in feelings and sensations when playing. It's hard to explain.
Yes this! I feel like the main plot is overcomplicated but the feelings it gives through its atmosphere, dialogue and music sure are something worth experiencing

ngl as an Indian this song being in English is throwing me off so much 😅 like i don't know how to explain it but i hear the way he's singing and i expect Hindi but then i process it and it's not. it feels kinda strange but i don't hate it tho!

I highly recommend Fighting Back from Spider-Man 2 as it uses a distorted version of the game's main theme which the album version of the main theme is also amazing.

You need to review Homeworld 1 and 2 OST, especially Homeworld: Adagio for Strings, Homeworld: Imperial Battle, Homeworld 2: The Pride of Hiigara , Homeworld 2: Battle for Sajuuk, Homeworld 2: The Age of S'jet ................ best storytelling with best music in RTS gaming history.
