Interested in building your own Ghostbusters equipment? You'll definitely need Drs. Spengler and Stantz's blueprints, available at our store: qaya.area120.google.com/channeling-spirits
Thanks for the review guys. Glad the build went well 👍 For anyone interested in ordering, the last few kits from this run are in stock now.
Still have any kits?
Amazing build sir..it's very impressive...really great content
Are you guys still doing kits? I just went to the website and it shows out of stock (12-14-22)
@@SonAlexander Yes, we are still doing Gizmo kits. However, we only release a limited number at a time rather than have continuous stock. Make sure you have signed up to the mailing list via our website and we'll let you know when a new run is on the way.
I love the prop building videoa! These are great. The belt gizmo is one of the few small pieces of the uniform & gear that I don't have yet. This kit seems like a great cohice for that. I'm not as handy as a lot of other GB fans (plus I have psoriasis on my hands which makes it difficult some times & I'm just a little lazy lol) so a kit that makes it easier to build is always nice. I'd love to get the holster for the belt gizmo (weather through the contest or just ordering it on my own I'll pick one up eventualy).
Again, thanks for the prop build videos. Lots of great advice & just cool to watch. Keep up the good work!
This is awesome! I would love one of these. I started my costume build for Halloween last year and this could be my next piece!
Cant wait for the rest of these.
I would love the Gizmo 8400 holster! Mine is currently just made of cardboard and matte black tape!
Dan later confirmed the hose is a Muon scrubber. Same as the items on the roof of the Ecto-1. The trap releases a lot of residual dense muons that need to be cleaned off the body.
Awesome video I love it!
great video!
Love this video!
That belt gizmo is awesome I want it!
I want the belt gizmo. I work in construction and would put it on my tool belt
Love tha channel awesome videos!!
I'd love to get that belt gizmo!
Pretty cool build! A pin vice would have helped a lot for the holes you needed to poke, or enlarge. Its a small hand powered drill used mostly in modeling, usually to pin a model's joints together for extra strength or prepare it for painting. I use one all the time in my miniatures.
Improv? Legend has it that The Statue of Liberty improvised all of her lines in Ghostbusters II. It was a big union issue.
Didn't she go on to be the VA for Chell in the Portal games and she wouldn't stop improving which is why they had to cut so much of Chell's lines?
I would love to win the Gizmo 8400 holster
I just built the new 8410 updated kit and soldered everything, it was much easier and took a bit under 8 hours of work.
It's a little rich for my blood for now. But, for starters, thank you for showing us EctoLabs! And thank you for this build tips/tricks, I'll be coming back here when all my pennies are saved up. And I'm definitely getting the catherter tube now (or rather, once they're back in stock)
One that might be simpler (but still interesting) to make is the ghost detector from the scene in Dana's apartment.
I'll probably go over the physics of that (and a few other small items) as the final piece in the Ghostbusters equipment series.
thats the ghost sniffer originally a air tester that was modified with a pke meter
Do a video on how the Ecto 1 works.
Cool.
I recall once reading that the tube was a filtration system, funneling ectoplasmic whathaveyous out of the wearer's suit and into some kind of clearing device on the back of the belt. Or, ya know, piss.
If you can figure out where you saw that information on it being a filtration system, that would be awesome! I'm always interested in more information even on those smaller pieces of equipment.
@@ChannelingSpirits I'll try and do some digging, but my first thought is maybe the gbfans boards.
Some chat on it: www.gbfans.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24787
I really like the idea that it's pulling anything negative that gets too close to your body into something built to neutralize it.
I mean it actually does make sense to reduce shocks I mean let’s remember they are strapping what is basically a nuclear power plant on their backs and that would need a ton of electricity to properly power it and when the frame used to mount it on the user’s back is all metal you run the risk of high voltage shocks so you would need a device to mitigate that to a much more bearable level to me I believe that there is a shock but the gizmo reduces it to like a very very tiny static shock level
i still have no idea what the gizmo dose or what's it perpous is. all i know it looks cool.
what music are you using for this tutorial
@Channeling Spirits what's up with Teespring? Your link doesn't take you to your store, and all the links I found on the Google are broken, too.
I noticed that last night. I know they recently became just "Spring" and it seems it changed my store to inactive. I am emailing back and forth with their support, I'll let you know when its back up. Sorry for the inconvenience.
@@ChannelingSpirits no need to apologize. If anything, these "Spring" jomokes should be apologizing to YOU. But, please, be sure to let us know when it does get worked out. Maybe a notification on the Community tab or something, yeah?
@@TroyPacelli Definitely. They didn't even notify it was down until I was trying to add a new product. But yes, I will be sure to update everyone! Thanks for your patience.
I've had a gizmo kit for years, been putting it off. Looks so tedious
That's... rather expensive.
I won't lie, I hate this build so much that I'm just going to push on and finish building it out of spite.
Finish it! I had several frustrated moments and it took me way longer than I wanted but I truly like the end product.
@@ChannelingSpirits I had part of a gizmo but I cobbled it with my previous one
Considering Dan Akroyd wrote the script I think it’s fair to say his explanation is correct 🤦🏻
