Hi. That is another way of doing it. I also did a video using rubber bands . I usually do it this way( as shown in the video), and it's firm and secure as well. The methods are endless. Thanks for sharing this. Someone will benefit from it.
If you wrap it properly, you can leave it like this or use rubber bands. There is another video on the channel showing you how to tie the ends with rubber bands.

Sometimes, it needs several attempts, and if it doesn't work for you still, you can do the rubber method( a video is available on my channel)or burn it if that is not a concern for you. Go with the method that works for you.

Yes. It's possible to achieve this style with long hair with no burning involved. You may also use rubber bands. I'll do a video on that soon.

No tying. Just make sure the ends of your braids are feathered, not blunt. You May also secure with rubber bands.
