I played this song during high school when I was in marching band and it has always been one of my favorites. lucky enough , I found a solo for piano since I have been taking lessons for a decade. this year marked my last and I absolutely fell in love with this arrangement. I still have two other songs I am working on by myself but I decided to add this to the list anyway because it had so much dynamic, so much power, and of course, so much emotion. this brought me to tears. thank you for this beautiful, beautiful arrangement. my love for this is beyond words. with love, from a fellow musician 💕
My high school played this in our 2014 show. At this year's end-of-marching-season surround sound concert, a brass band entitled Fountain City (they're amazing!) preformed and this was one of their songs. It got quite the reaction out of us.
You are the real MVP for sharing your music. A lot of stubborn people out there who don't wanna share there music. But honestly good job! This is a very beautiful song and you did a great job arranging it emotionally.
Omg you are so awesome for making this available to everyone. It's one of those pieces that really resonates with everyone in a different way and the fact that you made it so we can all be able to learn it and share it is so great.
Somebody hears you. you know that. you know that. Somebody hears you. you know that inside. Someone is learning the colors of all your moods, to (say just the right thing and) show that you’re understood. Here you’re known. Leave your life open. you don’t have. you don’t have. Leave your life open. you don’t have to hide. Someone is gathering every crumb you drop, these (mindless decisions and) moments you long forgot. Keep them all. Let our formulas find your soul. We’ll divine your artesian source (in your mind), Marshal feed and force (our machines will) To design you a perfect love- Or (better still) a perfect lust. O how glorious, glorious: a brand new need is born. Now we possess you. you’ll own that. you’ll own that. Now we possess you. you’ll own that in time. Now we will build you an endlessly upward world, (reach in your pocket) embrace you for all you’re worth. Is that wrong? Isn’t this what you want? Amen
This is absolutely stunning. It was like hearing it for the first time again performed by bloo brass. I am determined to learn it, but the link is missing. Any chance you would be able to re upload?
Holy smokes, man... I've always loved this piece, but it never made me tear up like your arrangement did. Bravo! Would you mind if arranged this for Saxophone Ensemble? This would be a great edition to our repertoire.
I had no clue you did this John, were tumblr mutrals and Facebook friends, but holy sbit! it makes sense now that I'm thinking about it, its waaaaaaayyy to good to be some ragtag youtubers arrangement! this is amazing and I plan on learning it
I'm a huge fan of this arrangement, and I myself am actually arranging this song for a symphonic band! I was wondering if I could use some of your left hand parts as nice filler percussion? I would give you credit in the arrangement of course!
My marching band is playing hymn of acxiom for parts of our show this year. And our drill writer and band director may have borrowed a few elements from this arrangement. I hope you're ok with that cuz they're only small bits like a few of those arpeggios at the end are in one of the keyboard parts at the end of our show.
Is it at all possible to get this on a Synthesia video? I am musically literate (barely tho with bass clef because I play the trumpet) but lack dexterity when it comes to playing piano and find that the visual learning from a Synthesia video helps me a lot. I would love to have this beautiful piece on Synthesia for I'd love to learn at least parts of it for I know that this is certainly not an easy piece especially for someone who hasn't taken a piano lesson in his life :D Thank you for sharing your talent Jonathan!!! Remarkable!!
firstly, this is really beautiful and a terrific arrangement! it's also wonderfully played :) thank you so much for posting!! secondly, I just wanted to ask if you actually reach the chord in the left hand on page six, second measure - (Gb-Bb) - because it would sound amazing, but my hands are too small :( as a classical pianist, I'd usually roll whatever I can't reach, but I think it's too fast and would sound weird... anyway, thoughts? thanks!
Hi! Thank you so much for listening, I'm glad you enjoyed it! To your question, I have pretty large hands so I can reach a same - manual tenth pretty comfortably. For you, I think rolling would be fine if you can play it fast enough to sound like a grace note. You could also get away with playing this reprise section a little slower. Hope that helps!
This is a wonderful piece. I am having an issue with measure 61 - is it possible to hit the first chord with your right hand?? I don’t seem to be able to stretch that far.
I have long fingers so I can reach, but you can sub a 2nd inv Eb like Ian suggested, personally I prefer leaving out the g (Bb Eb Bb) to preserve the open quality of the chord
Hi! Great job with the arranging and performing, it truly is wonderful! I have a quick question about the audio: how did you record it? Is it an acoustic piano or did you record from a digital piano?
Taking this and writing a four mallet vibraphone solo.
@@Dannyhaleperc Me too. I was legit thinking of doing the very same thing
Did you write it?
@@leak94_I don't think he did gang

Oh my god this song is so f***ing beautiful. Words can't even express.
Wow that is incredible! I wish I had the skills good enough to play that myself!

how hilarious would it be if they maybe could've gotten inspired from the bluecoats for that because they did that song that same year
I can not get enough of this song, and your rendition was beautiful!
i'm not sure why i didn't 'like' this when i found it. incredible arrangement, the climax made me grin! 😍
Thank you so much ❤ climax to the end I think is the strongest part of the arrangement so that means a lot
Let's go BLOOOO!!! Jonathan Carr, this is a beautiful arrangement!
You are the real MVP for sharing your music. A lot of stubborn people out there who don't wanna share there music. But honestly good job! This is a very beautiful song and you did a great job arranging it emotionally.
+sam elm A lot of people don't write out their arrangements and don't take the time to do so after they've mastered it.
A lot of people out there enjoy being compensated for their time and talents.
as do I - but this was a personal project close to the heart, so i have no problem making it freely available.
Absolutely. Thanks for sharing. I hope to stumble across a live performance of this arrangement some day.
This is amazing. Thank you for this. I was genuinely surprised at how well this was done.
Bloo did an amazing job putting it on the field!
What an amazing rendition of this beautiful piece! Amazing work, and beautiful performance.

Matthew Fernandez no sorry
Damian Sullivan man, one of the bands at the comp played axciom, we played angels in the architecture though
Can you please tell me where I can find a copy of this?? I would greatly appreciate it.
Do you have this in a different key? if so, i would like to play for my church, PHANOMINAL arrangement!
what tuning system is this? it’s warm as hell and i am loving it
It's actually a sample library from Native Instruments called The Grandeur!
All necessities provided, all anxieties tranquilised all boardem amused. Arthur jenson thou art avenged.
It's saying the dropbox file isn't there anymore. Anyone have the file?

This is a wonderful piece. I am having an issue with measure 61 - is it possible to hit the first chord with your right hand?? I don’t seem to be able to stretch that far.
Ashton Shoup I substitute it with a Eb major in 2nd inversion (Bb-Eb-G-Bb) so that it’s easier to reach.
Coming back 3 years later to let you know I’m still working on this 🥲😂
I have long fingers so I can reach, but you can sub a 2nd inv Eb like Ian suggested, personally I prefer leaving out the g (Bb Eb Bb) to preserve the open quality of the chord
Is there anyway i can get a copy of this? I wanna learn how to play it.
There's a dropbox link in the description. Happy practicing!
Jonathan Carr Thanks!!
Hi! Great job with the arranging and performing, it truly is wonderful! I have a quick question about the audio: how did you record it? Is it an acoustic piano or did you record from a digital piano?
Harris Andersen I recorded this using Grandeur, a piano library included in Komplete 10 Ultimate.
Hey Jonathan, is the audio played here a recording of you playing a piano / midi keyboard or a sheet music program playing it as written?
Hi Keegan, this is me playing a MIDI piano on NI Grandeur.
do you have this in a different key?
