We wanted to make this for all the fandoms on Tumblr. Or, as many as we could come up with/know about. We loved the song and we know that fictional/real people are huge inspirations to those in fandoms, so we thought it all went well together.
There's a range of things to pull from this: be brave in the face of death, be brave for other people, be brave enough to go for someone you love, be brave enough to sacrifice yourself, be brave after loss, be brave in the face of your enemies, be brave in social situations, be brave of your abilities, etc etc.
It's a bit of a mess and we edited as simply as possible, but I hope we got the point across. :)

The fact that I've come back to this 7 years later and I'm still crying over it's beauty. ICONIC
What I'm impressed with is how you managed to fit SO MANY fandoms into one short space of a song and yet none of it feels forced or like a slide show. Like, every moment seems deliberately picked and it feels as if all of these fandoms are important and familiar to you, though if that's actually true than I'm also impressed with the number of fandoms that you know.
i tried so hard to fit clips into parts of the song that made sense (and for some of the fandoms, i had knowledge of them but hadn't actually watched them - like breaking bad. i actually downloaded season finales of a lot of shows because i knew they'd have emotional parts in them hehe. but i have seen 90% of what i put into the vid)
my sister did half of the video and made up for the fandoms i didn't know about (i still don't even know what some of the fandoms in this vid are woops)
God i wish it were 2014 again and this is what we were worried about, anyone else tripping hard on nostalgia to get through the quarantine?

I burst into tears every time I see this video...a lot of people don't understand the importance of these fandoms in our lives...but this voices it beautifully. They make you want to stand up, speak out, be a better person. Be brave. They are here and though you may feel alone in the darkness they make you fully understand that YOU ARE NOT ALONE there are these wonderful characters, stories, writers, actors, and fans etc with you all the way. Thank you for making this. Is there anyway you could provide a HQ download for this?

Fandoms are dangerous and messy sometimes. I mean, there are always assholes in every fandom. But we're all here because we love whatever it is that brings us together. And with the kind of devotion that you get from fandoms, the deep soul binding connection you get to these shows they just change your life. And, at least for me, and I hope for everyone, they change it for the better.

I've watched this so many times, and I've shown so many people this. Every time I do, I still get chills. Like. I remember watching it the first time and then the clip with Night Vale, it threw me for a loop and my eyes got all burning. And then...the Avengers bit, it's so greatly timed, and then and then and then.
I think tears flowed down my face with X-Ray and Vav. Timing was perfect, and I got so many chills and it's just--at the time RT wasn't a thing I saw in fandom vids and picking that clip, and then the AH announcement part, it was so great. And then like, it was nostalgic and so well done and then the ending with RVB made me laugh out loud.
Seriously, one of my all time favorite things I've found on Tumblr. Ever.

Most of those are fandoms that I know people or Im in... And Im pretty sure most of them been in difficults moments... then they see their heros, the persons they wanna be... or just a character who made them smile for a bit... And they keep going... If they can go on, everyone can go on c;

I loved this video, it's amazing the dedication you put into these four minutes. Please do not listen to person's complaints about missing fandoms, they're just hurt because maybe they feel like they are being ignored most of the time.
I do want to help you with some missing fandoms if you ever consider making another video for those that you missed out on (I'll be waiting for it anxiously!) You have no need to feel obligated to comply it's just a recomendation.

The fandoms you listed here aren't all fandoms I like, but I was surprised that these really huge ones--like Frozen and MLP--got left out. I'm not _complaining_, just surprised. They could have been in the place of the extra clips from several fandoms throughout the video.

what I love the most about this video is that is so positive
somties fandoms can get very dense and negative and there's so much hate and it's hard to remember that it's not like that all the time, that they're actually friends and that usually you've met such wonderful people being part of one. i just love this a lot

one day in 2013 I saw this video on tumblr. I didn't know everything but every year, religiously, I went back to it and found myself getting to know another one of the fandoms.
Today, 9 years later I'm back to this video. Many fandoms that I belonged to, I don't belong anymore. But surprisingly, one of the missing ones at the time, kpop, is still with me. this video is nostalgic and reminds me of my pre-teens, all the joys and pains I endured taking refuge in fandoms. Thanks for that.

I still come back and watch this vid all the time because I love it so much! I'm sorry for those who feel their fandom was slighted but in all reality if they included every single fandom represented on Tumblr the video would have to be 10 times as long. They simply tried to place as many as they could into a 3 minute song. I think it's impressive!!

The things I love most about this video are the little rush and automatic smile I get every time I see someone from something I enjoy and the fact that even though I haven't seen/don't understand at least half of the material, I know somebody else is just as giddy from seeing it as I am with my fandoms, and that is absolutely magical. I found this video after watching it at least four or five years ago, and since then ive come to recognize so many more of these fandoms.
I dont remember how many i recognized when i first saw it, but i counted today and i recognized 28, and were in probably 24-25.
Some of the gifs or pictures i remembered from this are huge for me now. The two gifs from rooster teeth, attack on titan, and more. Then of course i thought back to when i first knew about homestuck, adventure time, harry potter, hunger games and more. This video will always have a place in my heart, because in a way, it has been a part of me since i was 12.

i just want to say i saw this on tumblr, and i love it so much. like more than i can explain. i've had a lot of horrible things happen to me and culminate into chaos in the past few years, and seeing this video just made me cry in a good way, it made me happy, and feel strong, and feel all those feelings that i got when escaping into these fandoms (and i am so happy that you included as many as you did, really). it made me want to do more and try more and well, be brave. so thank you, so much. this has gotten me through a lot.

I can't begin to tell you how much I love this. I've seen it more times than I can count and it never gets old. I am not a part of every fandom in the video but it's still so powerfull. Seeing all the vloggers looking genuenly happy and seeing Sam carrying Frodo is outstanding. But what I find even more compelling with your editing are two very distinct parts. "or you can start speaking up" and you get to see Crowley and Kevin, from a scene when the profet boy just defied the king of hell. That was Perfect! The other thing "everybodys been starred down by the enemie" with the guys from Hannibal. I'm not even in that fandom but Oh My God that was Powerfull. Not just the two of them but your msingness by putting them with that piece of lyric. This is a masterpiece. I hope you realise just how much it's loved!
It amazes me that this video has been up for three years. I can remember when it first came out, how excited I was to see it, but also disappointed that I could barely recognize any of the fandoms. Now, three years later, I've gotten through high school, gone in and out of fandoms, and even quit tumblr altogether, but I still keep coming back to this video. It's special. It not only reminds me of happier days, but it also pushes me to keep going and try to make the most out of what's coming. just want to say thanks for this amazing video. the first time i watched it i got the fuzzies and now, even after my tenth time watching it, i still feel really touched by it. you timed it perfectly, fitting the lyrics of the song to each snippet, and as someone who's not so familiar with many of the other fandoms on tumblr, it's really helped me to see another side of these fantoms and understand why people are fans of either the series or of the people. this video definitely portrays what each fandom means to each and every fan, it's helped us be brave, and learn and grow with the people we watch and shows we follow. this video is absolutely stunning in representing this, and thank you so much for sharing this with us. it's really amazing
