I share the anxiety and stress that you are feeling over your family,. Quilting and cross stitch helps to center me, too. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. A few years ago, I took a workshop with Sue Spargo, and I am so grateful for the experience of spending time with her and learning from her. Wishing you a happy and healthy 2022...

Prayers for your family 🙏. You are right, stitching helps keep me sane. So glad I started stitching again this past year and very glad that I found youtube, especially stitch roadies and quilt roadies! ❣
I am so sorry to hear about your family. It is hitting so many families. I am sending prayers that everyone gets through it with no lasting effects. Take care and try to find peace.
Best wishes to your son and his family, I hope they are all feeling better soon. I Can not wait to see the Bee quilt, I am sure it will be beautiful. Have a great week.
Oh dear! Am I going to have another addiction? Love the Sue Spargo items!!! Prayers for for family to get well quickly. Thank you for your wonderful show! Loved it!!!
I’m so sorry about your family. Poor babies. I hope they are getting better now. Binding is the absolute worse stitching I do. I hate it.😬 Take care. Thanks for the encouragement.❤️
My heart goes out to your family with covid. I've been in your shoes. My nephew has been in the Covid ICU of his hospital since Dec 23. He is the dad of a 7 year old son. I understand your level of worry. Today I'm cleaning my sewing room to keep my mind busy. Hugs and prayers to you all.
Anna, a visit from you is always so calming for me. I am wishing you and your family health, peace, and joy in the new year. May you be blessed tenfold in the way you bless others. ❤️
Sorry to hear about your family getting Covid. I totally understand. My son and his family all got it recently and thankfully they are got back to their rountines last week. Enjoyed this video about Sue Spargo. You reminded me that I have a small kit I got a while ago and forgot about until now. Thanks for the reminder!
Anna I know exactly how you feel about your young family having Covid. Mine do too although my granddaughters are 6 and 9. When I am dropping off surprises for them onto the verandah it breaks my heart when my 6 year old granddaughter calls out and asks me to bring her home. It’s heart wrenching and I can’t help but shed tears. How we pray this will soon be a distant memory. Xx❤️🌺
Ever since I moved to the Pacific Northwest I, too, have felt like a weather person. So sorry about what your family is going through. Fortunately children bounce back quickly. I agree with your sweet grandson. "That darn virus!" Please know we are thinking of you and that you are not alone.
Hi Anna Love all the things. I’m a self diagnosed collector with ocd. I feel happy when I see all the things and the organisation procedures you show. At least you get things done whereas I keep going around & around stash just tidying it up. Hope family recover quickly. Jen x
So sorry to hear about your family. As I write this my best quilting buddy is in ICU . Not doing well at all. I am following your lead and keeping myself busy with quilting, x-stitching and knitting. I will add your family to the rosary I say every day for all those I know with Covid. Take care and stay safe.
We are going thru the same here. Our daughter and her husband and two kids have Covid. Just my granddaughter hasn’t had her shots. We also pickup and delivered to their garage last night. The new virus has taken over here in WA. It is terribly stressful. I have been trying to recover from a herniated disc, and going to many dr and ER appointments now PT twice a week. I haven’t been in my craft room since mid December. I’m feeling a bit depressed and trying to stay positive. Have to admit this is a struggle. My crafts is what kept me sane since the pandemic started, now I don’t have that.
Thank you Anna for taking me on a journey to all the fun things Sue Spargo has to offer! I’ve been changing a few stitches, thru a book I have of hers on a project from,Buttermilk Basin,Halloween quilt block of the month, and I have difficulty should I do fancy stitching or not…well I’ve done some and really enjoy it but its hard to decide on more or less,so you can get on to the next block…it can be a dilemma at times but you motivated me to get back to it!🥰
Dearest Anna, I’m truly sorry to hear of your family’s current diagnosis. Sending lots of gentle hugs and powerful prayers for their speedy recovery. 💕💕💕🙏🙏🙏
Congratulations on finishing your quilt binding, looks so beautiful. I love the pollination quilt too. I’m so sorry to hear about your family being sick. I’m sending blessings, love, and light for their full recovery.
Congratulations for Gina. And praying that all those many sick patients are healing well a.s.a.p. I really have the feeling were having a bee. ♥️❤️♥️. Thanks for showing your beautifull Sue Spargo's stuff. I'm working on santa's wardrobe while I listen to you. Weather here in the South of the Netherlands is foggy for a week. Stil in the Christmas mood. Take care and keep on doing just what you do. I love it. Big hugs, Miranda
Anna I am so sorry to hear that your family has Covid. I am sure that they will get better soon. You are a superstar! I can see your deep concern for your family in your eyes, but you plug forward for all of us. You are such a genuine sweet soul. I love watching your channel. I have learned so much from you already and continue to do so. SF101 San Francisco highway 101! Love it!
Oh Anna, I do hope that by now your family has recovered. I completely understand the overwhelming feelings when life throws a curve ball. 'Overwhelm' completely derails me and it can be so difficult to get back on track. I hope that you are much better than I at pushing away those overwhelming feelings. Many congrats on the binding!!!! Absolutely LOVE your Cuppa Bag! Gorgeous work :) Thank you for the expanded explanation of 'Sue Spargo stitching' - maybe one day I'll go done that rabbit hole because you know I just need another type of stitching - ha ha ha ha!!!! :) :) :) Keeping hanging in there the best you are able - Thank you for the visit and your positive vibes :)
Hope your family will be feeling better real soon. My granddaughter got it in October and she`s 5 years old. It was just before they were able to get the vaccines. Yes we were sooo worried, I know how you`re feeling. But she came out of it OK I think. Love your iron yazzi bag! Good job!
Don't you Dare Say you get nothing done!! I love the iron bag embellishment, plus You Should be proud of yourself! Praying for your family--my 6 year old grandson there in Oregon has just recovered from Omicron.
Praying for your family and for God to bless you too. Enjoyed seeing all your Sue Spargo accessories and congratulations on that binding. I have one that has been sewn on all of 2021; but have yet to turn it and hand stitch it down; and 2 more quilts waiting for their's. Funny how the stress of what is going on in the world can affect our mojo. Hugs to you and looking forward to seeing your bee quilt finished; I remember you starting it.
Our (adult) Grands had Covid too, they were vaccinated. Love your fancy iron bag, so adorable 😍 I like your thread organizer too. I need to switch to that idea because it takes up less space than what I am doing. As always, I love everything you showed us, your tips and everything you talked about 🥰 Sue Spargo’s ideas and products are amazing and so clever.
Congratulations on your finished Iron case!!!! It looks beautiful Anna!! Also, thank you for the enabling😂 I just picked up Sue's second edition of Creative Stitching.... and some new embroidery threads👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😍
I love your kindness and sweet spirit! Also, as a fellow ADHD diagnosed person, it makes me happy to see the projects that you have finished. It is so difficult to do.
Was able to cross the border and finally visit Sue Spargo in Ohio this week. She was in the shop and we talked for a while about projects. I purchased items I had been unable to get for the past few years. It was great to be there in person. Sure wish I could do Tradewinds, but I will wait a few years until it is released. Stitch on, you're making great progress
Hi sorry about your family well keep them in our prayers my husband's cousin passed away with covid his funeral was today it was cold dark out it is a blessing to have my sewing to keep my mind off of everything we are under a winter advisory for weekend sewing day love. To here from you thanks
P.S. I LOVE doing the binding. I can't wait till I get to it and when I do, well, let me tell you, I'm all a flutter with excitement. It's so calming and cathartic.
Sorry to hear about the unwelcome visitor that came to your family home. I pray they will get over it soon without any lasting effects. I liked the reference you made regarding a knitter and the sock because that’s exactly what I was attempting to do at that very moment. I had to chuckle and said yes I trying to figure out where I left off. Keep on stitching 🧵.
Hi Anna, I'm Praying for your family 😔🙏, foe a quick recovery ! I Love the decorative iron bag, all your bags look so organized and ready to go. Stay warm and health. Until next time.💖
Don’t ever worry about your “babbling”. That is the reason we love you and watch you. You motivate me. I am sorry about your Covid woes. I am fully vaccinated and boosted and I still got Covid Christmas Eve. Was not sick at all but family couldn’t visit for the holidays. And of course my husband passed away from Covid at the very beginning. But thanks to people like you I have found purpose again. Renew is my word. Thanks. Keep the faith! 😉
First off, I will say and extra prayer for your family. Feel so bad for these little ones that can’t get the vaccine yet. You are so right about being patient!! I have just treated it as a wonderful surprise when things do show up!😂 Like you, I have enough fabric, patterns, threads, to cross stitch and quilt for quite a while. Plus, my sister and very good friend have shared supplies with each other when something special was needed. We do quite well for each other!! Especially, our friend. She has been purging and we have been the lucky recipients. When you realize patience works, kindness is not far behind.
Hugs, prayers, and love to you and your family, Anna. And, a special thank you to you for sharing your time and talent with us. I so look forward to our visits.
This virus has made us all equal. Thank goodness for craft. Here in Melbourne Australia we went through the toughest lock down in the world. Now the virus has got us. As a nurse I am done . I am at the end of my work life, but oh dear working harder than ever. I have taken up cross stitch again, finishing UFO,s quilting like crazy. Keeping my mind on other things, so scared of falling Down the rabbit hole and not getting out of it. We are in it together and for me that makes it easier as I am not going through this alone
Hi Julie. I am also from Melbourne and worried about the situation in Australia. It is scary how quickly this variant has spread and the sheer number of daily cases. I almost feel like going into voluntary lockdown until things improve. I hope you are safe and well. With best wishes from one Aussie to another 😘💕🇦🇺
I'm in the same situation as a Clinical Scientist. Ready to call it quits very soon, but in the meantime, the numbers are still climbing and the stress is the worst I've experienced in my career.
Oh Anna. So sorry to hear of your Grandson. I have a Great Grandson who lives with me and his Mother. He is a Very Smart kid who at the age of five(5) has been vaccinated and being home schooled by his mom. I learned wool applique from you and some of Sue Spargo's fancy stitching. Getting started,, you said to take it slow and build up an inventory of threads and wools and that was such good advice. I was then not over whelmed with cost or worry. So thank you for this video as a reminder to take it and everything else SLOW because enjoy the journey and the end will come .
so sorry ur family has covid. wish i could give u a BIG HUG. never thought we would all be missing hugs. i will never take hugs for granted again!!!you iron bag turned out beautiful. your excitement at getting projects finished is contagious. i think you have encouraged all of us to get busy and finish our ufo's. thanks for the sue spargo tutorial. as for buttermilk basin...will u finish ur autumn wool quilt like a cotton quilt w/ batting and quilting the layers together? not sure how to finish a wool quilt. you made me laugh so hard today...THANKS be safe and stay healthy!
@@quiltroadies1695 Thankyou so much for the info. i am now a "wool addict", thanks to you..LOL! love working with wool. i think it's rather calming. my word for the year is "patience". turning 70 in a couple weeks has made me rather impatient, like get off your rear and get busy!!! enjoy your day
Thank you Anna for your videos, I watch them while i work on my needlepoint, you are so funny, please dont stop making videos, it really helps during this pandemic. Hope your family feels better soon..here in Northern Italy, the virus is exploding. Keep stitching.
Enjoying watching the progress you are having with putting on the binding on your quilts!!! You have spurred me on to finish the many baby quilts I have quilted , BUT, have no binding either! ABOUT TIME to get them done!!!!!!
Sorry about your family being ill . Some of our family members had Covid over Christmas but are all well now. Love your Sue Spargo. Your iron bag finish is beautiful! Thanks for all the Sue Spargo information.
So sad to hear about Covid hitting your kids and grandkids. Praying it will resolve quickly without any long haul problems. Love seeing your finished iron tote. Beautifully done. I also laughed out loud over your elastic security band - too many years in LDRP with OBs 🤣🤣
So sorry about your family. I hope they recover quickly without and lingering effects. Its a worry for all. My grandsons 2 and 1 and a half months old. We worry going to see them. We only go out for grocery shopping and take all precautions. We see them once a week just to help Momma if there are appts or she just needs some uninterrupted time to get chores done. Now Anna it is so hard for me not to want to do all these things you share. Handstitching is a fav of mine. Appliqué or hand piecing. I have yet to take the plunge with cross stitch or revisit embroidery or crewel work.
So sorry to hear about your family’s struggle with Covid. I am fully vaccinated and boosted and contracted Covid as well. It has been quite the illness. Now my husband has it because we are together 24/7. Loved seeing your Sue Spargo collection. The one thing you did not mention is how expensive it is. I have both books, but never dove in. Maybe one day!
So sorry to hear of the family issue with COVID. It is quite scary, My Father is in long-term care and recently one of the residents came down with COVID. You are right, there is absolutely nothing we can do. As a problem solver (for family) by nature, it is SO hard to sit, pray and hope for the best. Ugh......these are indeed stressful times. Stay safe, stay well and we will all get through this. Hugs Anna (and "G" of course). xo ❤
Hi Anna, I hope your family recovers quickly. Love your red work quilt, it’s beautiful! I also love Sue Spargo but haven’t had the opportunity to take one of her retreats…maybe someday. In the mean time my hubby got me the toned down sampler kit for my birthday last year, but I have yet to start it. That’s one of my goals this year 🤞🏽. You take care and stay safe.
So sorry about the Covid outbreak in your family. Hope things turn around soon. I'm loving your pollination quilt. I will have to look for that one. Thanks for all the Sue Spargo info. I've been wanting to try one of her patterns. Be well.
I hope your family recovers quickly from the dreaded virus. Prayers sent. You are such an enabler! First Sew Yeah, then Yazzi, now Sue Spargo! I have more fabric from Sew Yeah than I have room for and I’m a beginner quilter lol! I have 2 Yazzi bags now-a thread holder and a medium size one where I keep my English paper piecing projects. Love them! Take care Anna!
Hi Anna, What a beautiful red work quilt.!!!! Great job with the binding also. You do lovely work, no matter how long it takes. Just keep quilting and stitching. You are a woman after my own heart. So, sorry to hear about your family having COVID-19. Praying that they will be better soon. Love that wool/cotton project!!! Yes, you can get it done by June. Yes, we are spoil, and it can be a good thing at times and at other times it can be challenging. Nice job on finishing the iron bag. See, you did it!!!! Anna, I have visited the Stitching Post in Baltimore. Lots of great pieces of information in this video, like all the time. Love that teacup bag too. Love you, Anna. Alberta from Southern, MD
Love that you are off to a good start to 2022! Love: "Take a deep breath and keep stitching." Being kind and patient should never go out of style - not if we care for each other.
Great video Anna! Lots of good information. Just wanted to let you know I couldn't resist so I ordered the redwork winter wonderland from buttermilk basin! LOL
Good thoughts for your kids and grands to overcome and heal. I am getting over some very minor dermatological surgery having a cyst on my scalp removed in office under local. I feel like I had a big tooth treatment on my scalp and side of my face.
Hi Anna, so sorry to hear about your little grandson. Poor little ball of misery😰 I love binding. Call me crazy. I’ve not gone into the rabbit hole of Sue Spargo…I don’t think I’ll live long enough to learn that, but must admit that I’ve always loved blanket stitch for appliqué. You got me into Yazzii bags..it’s your fault! I love how you decorate them. You are so incredibly talented. I only have one bag, but that’s enough for me😊 Your enthusiasm inspires me to get out of my comfort zone, but not enough to get me doing what you do! When you’re stressed you’re hyper focussed..I’m just the opposite. I’m patient thankfully…life is just too short. Love you xx🇦🇺
So inspiring! That’s definitely the cutest iron bag ever! Dreary and wet days in Indiana. Typical for this time year. Spring will be here soon! Lynn in Indiana
I can’t wait for the finished beehive quilt. No sun here. Awaiting a winter storm that is supposed to start late tonight. It will be perfect weather for sewing and stitching…as long as we don’t lose power! Best wishes for the quick recovery of your son and his family.
My thought and prayers for your family husband and I are careful too but still I went through 3+ weeks of covid and pneumonia. Love your yazzi iron bag and I knew a polinator quilt would be just for you_!
I hope your family is well soon. It is so hard to see our loved ones ill. I am working on a quilt for my mom made from scraps from her quilt projects for her grandchildren...I think she has 19. Her great grands get a crocheted blanket. She is amazing.
Sorry to hear your family is struggling. My daughter tested positive last week, so she’s been home all week. I worked from home to take care of her and to keep myself away from the office in case I get it. I haven’t so far; knock on wood. My husband is out of town, so I told him to stay there longer. He’s older than I am. Hope you kids’ and grandkids’ symptoms are mild like my daughter’s are. Sending good thoughts. I really love to do binding, so I’d help you too. I just did one last night.
Went thru same in october- daughter, husband (both vaxed) , 4 yr grandson got Covid 2,000miles away from us 😔😔. Did a lot of praying and phone support. All came out ok. After that their Friends said they were the safest family for play dates ! 🤣🤣
I'm so glad I watched until the end. Your words about patience and taking a deep breath are so needed right now! Thank you my stitching friend!
I share the anxiety and stress that you are feeling over your family,. Quilting and cross stitch helps to center me, too. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
Such a beautiful quilt block and a fun chat! Thanks for posting!
🙏🙏🙏
Thank you for putting your wise words out into the world as always Anna. 😊❤️
I love your babbling!!! I am a quiet person so love friends who babble!
you are our place to go when we get stressed!

Hugs to you and your family. It’s hard to see our little grand babies sick. You take care and thank you for the video.
Beautiful quilt with great red work! Thanks Anna!
I love spending time with you. I’m working on the Color My World quilt via The Quilt Show.
so sorry ur family has covid. wish i could give u a BIG HUG. never thought we would all be missing hugs. i will never take hugs for granted again!!!you iron bag turned out beautiful. your excitement at getting projects finished is contagious. i think you have encouraged all of us to get busy and finish our ufo's. thanks for the sue spargo tutorial. as for buttermilk basin...will u finish ur autumn wool quilt like a cotton quilt w/ batting and quilting the layers together? not sure how to finish a wool quilt. you made me laugh so hard today...THANKS be safe and stay healthy!
Yes, it will be quilt the same… sometimes if the wool areas are large some quilting will go over the top of the wool😀
🙏🙏🙏
Enjoying watching the progress you are having with putting on the binding on your quilts!!! You have spurred me on to finish the many baby quilts I have quilted , BUT, have no binding either! ABOUT TIME to get them done!!!!!!
Always love your videos!
Sorry about your family being ill . Some of our family members had Covid over Christmas but are all well now. Love your Sue Spargo. Your iron bag finish is beautiful! Thanks for all the Sue Spargo information.
Prayers for you and your family, Anna. Take care and be safe. 💕
It is expensive so a bit at a time… it is a relationship
Anna, I hope your family gets well from the Covid quickly. Love your finished quilt and the Bee Hive quilt. Looks like so much fun.
Anna, l am inspired! I love hand embroidery and recently started wool stitching...LOVE the Yazzi bag!
Praying for your family!!
Hi Anna,
What a beautiful red work quilt.!!!!
Your iron bag is beautiful. Prayers for you and your family.
Great video Anna! Lots of good information. Just wanted to let you know I couldn't resist so I ordered the redwork winter wonderland from buttermilk basin! LOL
Another lovely chat!. Thank you Anna. Your projects are looking great.
Hope your family is soon feeling better, and that you and G - stay well.
Good thoughts for your kids and grands to overcome and heal. I am getting over some very minor dermatological surgery having a cyst on my scalp removed in office under local. I feel like I had a big tooth treatment on my scalp and side of my face.
Yikes😱
You are the best, thank you so much, Anna!
Your doing a great job getting things done and it's still January.
My thought and prayers for your family husband and I are careful too but still I went through 3+ weeks of covid and pneumonia. Love your yazzi iron bag and I knew a polinator quilt would be just for you_!
You enabled me on a couple of projects on this video. I had to stop and place a couple orders. Enjoy both your videos.
Praying for your good health❤️
@@quiltroadies1695 thank you! Same to you and yours.
Went thru same in october- daughter, husband (both vaxed) , 4 yr grandson got Covid 2,000miles away from us 😔😔. Did a lot of praying and phone support. All came out ok. After that their Friends said they were the safest family for play dates ! 🤣🤣
Love your iron cover.
