You're up there with your music buddy in Heaven. I real appreciated the time when you contacted me to see how im doing from the time king slim Jordan passed away. I will be so grateful . You and my Dad were best mate....
Review today by Rob Greaves, The Toorak Times: I’ll say it again - despite his failing health Max put every drop of energy he had into this album. Knowing this would be his last, it is filled with the richness of his soul and everyone who worked in playing and engineering and producing, knew this was it! There would be no tomorrow, and this album is rich for the love that it is steeped in. It really is a very, very nice way to have a wonderful, fulfilling and eminent career come to an end. It is a testament to Max’s ability and beautiful voice, and a wonderful effort by all those involved in its production - to support his departure in this way. This album features Max’s warmth as well as his talent. it is well written and IS skilfully produced. This album is an absolute must!
I just love this. I was 13 and max was 18 when I saw him the first time in Christchurch. He was a lovely beautiful man and Max grandson looks just like him ..xxx
My favourite local band back in the day. Seeing Max actually introduced me to soul music before radio played Otis and all the others here in Melbourne.
Just bloody wonderful Max, it was a pleasure to finally meet you 3 years ago in LA, and the time you shared with me was one of the greatest days of my life ! Love this song !
