thanks for the video. when I touched a jumper across the 2 terminals as you did all I got was a whine noise. does this mean my starter is bad or is there another issue. This is on a brand new starter from the parts store. About ready to take a sledge hammer to this thing its pissing me off so bad😤
Easy bro. Don’t let it beat you. You can take out your starter and check the flywheel! I’m a breaker not a fixer. I can’t do that. (Honestly I probably could, I just want no part of doing it) You probably got it fixed no problem
I have the same problem. Thought I fixed it. I can remote start the jeep, but as soon as I put the key into the ignition and turn it to run, it shuts down and displays transmission over temp and check gauges.
Hey buddy I beg you to reply and let me know where to tap into the yellow wire I can't find it up top for the life of me. My 07 commander is the 5.7L HEMI
You could test the starter circuit from the starter relay. With this particular problem the only way we could start it was to jump it off at the starter
I had the transmission over temp warning light too. It was my connection under the jeep like in the video. I've had 2 jeep commanders and both had the same issue.
Perfekt, andere hätten einen neuen Starter eingebaut.
Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
Now i have not checked thes yet but with the issue could it be more of an issue then in the dry/hot temps?
You my man are a magician 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 good job 👍🏾
Smart man.ty for your intelligence.

Remove starter and check flywheel. You can also bench test starter with a jump box.
@@johnandeddie thanks I will pull the starter and go from there.

Possible ignition or key pod problem, have vehicle scanned and diagnosed
@Transmissions America (John and Evan) turns out the PCM went bad. The yellow w/brown stripe wire shorted out on the steering column.

it's the smaller wire going to the starter solenoid
thanks i try that
Could you do the same thing up on the starter relay?
You could test the starter circuit from the starter relay. With this particular problem the only way we could start it was to jump it off at the starter
I'm in the same boat no crank but Transmission over temp warning comes on even tho the Jeep is stone cold
I currently have the same issue. Were you able to find out the problem? Thanks

same with mine, i had to cut off the green crusty terminal and wire another on
Did you make a new connection or just clean it up?
Cleaned up connection
Is that on the Hemi?
This vehicle is not a hemi however it is the same procedure
