I love the premise of having A.I reimagine your older projects and think you should absolutely do this again. I wouldn’t be mad at a full series based on this idea.
@@jayedwin98020 it would definitely be a GREAT way to push your own boundaries and force yourself as an artist to not only improve your current skills, but also push you to acquire new ones and think outside the box on how to make something work from a logical standpoint. i think he definitely should do this again in the future and go even bigger with the scale of the project lol
I'm a geologist and I think that is the coolest table I have ever seen. Awesome job, both with the table and the video. I would wrestle Chris for it but he would kick my ass. Thank you for sharing.
This is HANDS DOWN one of your sickest, coolest, most freaking UNREAL things you've ever built!!! I watched this one with my wife and she was smiling and wowing right along with me! Outdid yourself, good luck topping this one and YOU THE MAN for giving it to Chris!! 10k thumbs up!
I think the single best use thus for for AI in the creative sphere is exactly what you've done here. Take a great human-generated idea, feed it to an AI that can iterate, and then use that as a springboard to build something unique. Your designs and regular builds aren't EVER lacking, but this is a very cool avenue to explore. I love seeing your take.
I feel like this is exactly what Midjourney is good for. Coming up with concepts and ideas that get the artist on the right path when coming up with their next project. With that said, this build turned out fantastic and you really nailed it. Some of your best work to date.
It's only good because someone can't just copy his design, print a table and sell it. They actually have to get the tools, knowledge and materials and get their hands dirty haha.
This absolutely needs to be a series..... John's impossible AI builds. Totally freaking nailed this dude, this looks absolutely awesome fantastic work 🤘🤘
This definitely needs to become a thing. Honestly it's the best thing i have seen you make on this channel. You couldn't have made the wood look more rock like in a thousand years.
Whew, even with power tools, the new cave table must've been a tedious process to carve. It turned out pretty slick though, and the AI generated concept pieces are all pretty cool, too. You should definitely use AI to generate more design concepts for more builds in the future.
This is how AI should be used in tandem with artists and creators. Love it!!! Some people have skills but not so good with coming up with ideas so they can benefit greatly with AI. It's not meant to replace but to help and aid ❤
Absolutely beautiful, remarkable how well the resin worked out. ❤ Correct choice in conversing with Blake, he’s the master at wood/resin sculpting, and his tire thread sculptures.
Props to John for being such a good boss. Not only has he mentored and allowed 2 employees under his wings (def not the eagles) to prosper on their own, but he continues to recognize his new/current employees. Insanely sick build, y'all really knocked it out the park and Chris really deserves it. Congrats to everyone!
Beautiful! I love the idea of letting AI give you the idea for the shape. I actually love the fact you then did everything yourself, instead of having a CNC cut everything. I’m certain it was a TON of work. In the end, the table is so amazing. And it went to a great home too! Thanks John and team!
One word.... AMAZING!!! This looks like it had to be one of the hardest, most hands on, and sick builds you have ever done! Well done! Can't wait to see what you reimagine next! Thank you!
This is phenomenal! I thought the original cave table was good but this is just next level. I always feel super inspired after watching your videos, so thank you for that.
Been using the full crafting of both tables and weapons for ASMR for the past few weeks, and I'm glad to find a group that has 1 - great explanations for crafting newbs, 2 - enjoyable banter between the audience and the crew. Definitely subscribing.
13:55 you were getting the realistic rock texture from the AI image, it was starting to look amazing. as soon as you started to make it look like stacked rocks or a rock wall it just became a bit cartoony. its like 'what you think rocks look like' not rocks. Would also have been amazing to have lights inside to light up the cavern!
Great build! Is it just me or did it look even more rock-like when you had the cuts go only horisontally? Easy for me to say but could you have shaped separate stalactites/gmites and glue them on at the end? It went towards more of a flintstone look with the rounded structures. I'd like to see more of this AI stuff please!
John that Cave table is sick. And just to be clear AI did not build that - YOU did! I so want to build one of my own now. I enjoy watch ing you go through the process of figuring these projects out. I cannot wait until your next build. I hope to see lots more like this from you and your shop. Excellent job
@25:56 you know what would put this table over the top? If y'all build a built-in lamp that mimics a tree on one of the corners, or having a beautiful hand made wooden post to a dim lighted lamp stand 2 3/4 feet tall with a hand made lamp shade, made of the same materials wood and resin..
It looks pretty good but the AI version you were going off of looked so much better. I think the biggest difference is that you carved it with too large of details and you made it look more like stacked rocks instead of a naturally eroded cave.
The "John cam" is great and I would love to see more of it. I don't do any woodworking. I never have. I started watching more UA-cam at the start of lockdown in the US and found a few woodworking channels that I still watch every video of today. You're one of my favorites. The "John cam" gives me a perspective I've never had and I would love to see a full build like that. I don't expect that video because wearing that camera throughout a full build would probably be miserable but I just want you to understand how much I enjoyed it. Even mundane things would be be neat to see from that POV.
I have to say, that is the most radical and beautiful project I've seen you do John. Not to take away from any of your other projects, but this was WAY over the top. It's stunning, simply stunning. Great job!!
This build is Fantastic. It's really awesome that you gave this to Chris. I like that you got inspiration from AI and made it a reality, with your own twist.
Incredible table! Awesome build to watch. If you do it again I reckon a winding staircase that goes through a parts of the rocks would look pretty cool. Looking forward to the next video.
Agreed with sooo many other comments, you need to do a series on this. Dude! AI Beginner, Intermediate, Professional build video would be SICKKKKK! Make it happen boys!
This is a fantastic project and I particularly love how AI was used to inspire - there is a tremendous amount of negativity (some justified) around AI in creative works, but this is a great way to show how useful it can be as another tool to use.
It's cool to see a new way for artists to push themselves out of their comfort zones. I know it's hard for me to picture stuff in my head but if you already saw it and try to emulate it could open up a lot
Great job! That said, I personally would prefer the looks of a perfectly transparent top, so when looking down on the table, you're seeing all the beautifully carved detail below the acrylic surface.
Great Job Bud... You are so cool for letting him have it for free. Anyways, as I noticed you placing all 3 pieces together I thought of a 3D-Printing model of one that you can sell online and it will be like legos for the 3 pieces to snapon. Since the internet is dominating the world at the moment, this would be something interesting to get into... AND in case you just deal with nothing but wood I'm sure they have saw dust that can act like glue for the 3D machine to feed to your projects.
Absolutely amazing!!!! I need to continue watching your videos I hope to see one of your pieces with metallic royal blue with back epoxy in a wood table. I really want to make one.
Stunning work! Personal preference, I would have done the top crystal clear, like the lakes in Mammoth Cave that are incredibly clear and look just a few feet deep but in reality are unbelievably deep. So cool that you gave it away when done too. What a gift!
WOW, Truly AMAZING!!! This was my first time watching. I will definitely continue to watch. God blessed you with amazing talent. I would love to see more videos like this.
Hey John, if there is one thing I learned today, it's to never, ever underestimate your ability to create the most amazing furniture. Kudu's to you for gifting this to Chris. Good job man, good job...
I love this build, style, and premis to the video! As someone who enjoys doing something and learning how to make it even better the next time around, this made me super happy!
This is the best video you have made for a while and I think it’s because you actually built something. All these viral fade videos are ok but the videos of you actually building something unique is why the vast majority of us subscribed in the first place.
I love that you have used AI To help Inspire your design improvements. I am a Nail tech and Do the same thing sometimes when a Client doesnt "know" what she likes. I use AI and her suggestions to give me some suggestions. Its so fun!
Dude that to date is one of the coolest if not the coolest thing you've built. Not that all your other stuff isn't, its just that one takes the cake. The amount of time and energy you put into it really shows. Very awesome job and yes you should do more of these. I love caves and exploring them so this was awesome for me to watch. The fact that you gave to Chris to was really awesome. Two thumbs way up!
That table is unreal. Your best work. That table couldn't even go into my house as my house would be unworthy of it's presence. Keep up the great work!!
That disc tool turned out to be THE tool that makes this piece come together, giving it that rough organic look, while retaining that layered appearance that you liked from your #2. I know a whole lot of nothing when it comes to stuff like this, but the moment you hit that rough-out with that tool it popped for me.
John that has to be the best piece of furniture you have ever done. It's amazing. I personally would have preferred the resin clear and I would have put some small led lights inside to light up your carving. Definitely think you should do more of this AI furniture cause you definitely have the talent.
I watch your videos as they pop up in my feed so to date this is my favorite one I think. I can only imagine how much something like that would actually sell for.
Completely awesome, I would absolutely love that in my home. The craftsmanship in that is just fantastic, you are an excellent woodworker, keep up the great work. Love your vids BTW
Waterfall cave table would be an incredible piece. A pump running up one of the legs then funneling down a hole and into the bottom cave. Glass top over the water feature to finish it off. Very glad I saw this video
Honestly for me I speak for myself I love new episode every week. However the videos that are uploaded every few weeks look so so much better editor at Style. Keep up the hard work you put it
Absolutely!! I’d love if you could make this a series, very cool and nice to see you so pumped to improve on past projects 😄
I love the premise of having A.I reimagine your older projects and think you should absolutely do this again. I wouldn’t be mad at a full series based on this idea.
This type of approach would probably take John's projects to the next level.

The side by sides wld be so cool
I particularly love the way the light falls through the resin to warp the colour of the floor below. It looks like a lagoon on the floor, too!
I'm a geologist and I think that is the coolest table I have ever seen. Awesome job, both with the table and the video. I would wrestle Chris for it but he would kick my ass. Thank you for sharing.
I drive a truck, and i think so too
And I drive a truck as well. @@TehSWEED

agreed. I've seen many creative blocks that could have been aided by stable diffusion

John's impossible AI builds.
Totally freaking nailed this dude, this looks absolutely awesome fantastic work 🤘🤘
Table is absolutely amazing. But what you did at the end shows truly what kind of man you are. Great job John.
This definitely needs to become a thing. Honestly it's the best thing i have seen you make on this channel. You couldn't have made the wood look more rock like in a thousand years.

dude that came out epic!
@25:50 honestly it looks like a table that should be in the live action Flintstones movie!

This is something that @BobbyDukeArts would also rock! His carving skills would take this to another level! Very nice
bobby duke is easily top 10 of all time creators
Bobby duke would make a whole village of cave dwellings lizard people inside and I’m so here for that ❤
I've been binge watching the channel for the past 2 weeks and this is absolutely the coolest table I've seen so far!
Fish tank table.
8:00 Mannn. Your institutional knowledge of woodworking *is* solid. These custom pieces *do* start to shape well from the beginning
"Well it's yours."
Man that's so wholesome.
This was badass. I would love to see a series of AI builds honestly. The amount of detail that went into this was unreal. Absolutely worth it
This is phenomenal! I thought the original cave table was good but this is just next level. I always feel super inspired after watching your videos, so thank you for that.

Easily, hands down, 1 of your best-looking projects to date, that thing is awesome, congrats Chris.
I've never wanted to try power carving before this. That looks awesome!

That table is GORGEOUS!!!!! Awesome job on it, Chris is super lucky to have it! :) Would LOVE to see what else you di with the help of AI design.
Fun watch sir. Interesting idea. Perfect display of design/build progress. Awesome results imo. Thanks for sharing this one.
Hope you do some more of these ai challenges. You’re knocking them out of the park. Very well done.

💯 more man!!! Love this crazy look. Seriously you guys are never as happy as when you are TRULY challenged. Love it love it love it!!!
@ 3:33 where you have tables with pools inside, put smoke machines inside the big pieces and have smoke going
Stunning work! Personal preference, I would have done the top crystal clear, like the lakes in Mammoth Cave that are incredibly clear and look just a few feet deep but in reality are unbelievably deep. So cool that you gave it away when done too. What a gift!

YES Please do another one! This thing is B-E-A -U -tiful!

Excellent job building what your eyes see.

This is one of, if not the, most beautiful man-made things I've ever seen in my life. Well done. And also, way to be an awesome human being.
You absolutely crushed this build. The design and carving skills here are out of this world!
I loved this project, video was one of the best. His reaction was great. Keep the AI coming!!!!

Yeeeeeeeeah. That’s phenomenal. More AI wild designs. You’re the man
Hands down the best thing you've ever made!
The best build yet - by far!
That table is unreal. Your best work. That table couldn't even go into my house as my house would be unworthy of it's presence. Keep up the great work!!

Really cool build, i love organic looking furniture
That is amazing, I bloody love it. The process of getting to the finished product is almost as amazing as the final piece.
That is absolutely beautful. So nice that you gave it to Chris!
This is your best build to date. Period.
John that has to be the best piece of furniture you have ever done. It's amazing. I personally would have preferred the resin clear and I would have put some small led lights inside to light up your carving.

This may be the best build you have done!
This is awesome. The concept, the build, and gifting it to your employee. Keep it up!
An idea to make this build even cooler. A working waterfall! Going from the "lake" on the top level going down to the "pools" on the bottom level.
It's nice to see great work. Instead of salt, you can use sand.
Greetings from Poland.
This is how A.I should be used, as a tool. This is awesome 👌
A work of art. Epic that you gave it to Hercules!!

Style. Keep up the hard work you put it
Fantastic build!! Beautiful craftsmanship.
This is the prettiest table I have ever seen!
This video was so freaking awesome!! This concept should become a series. I would watch you make all those other designs as well.
That was sick! More A.I collabs!
That end table reminds me of those old wooden couches that had the western theme. I love it.
This was AWESOME the final product is amazing. thanks for sharing!
