Something that I've been experimenting with the smoke hopper. I've been using hickory wood chips & soaking them in a bowl with that wright's hickory liquid smoke. Then using pellets, filling hopper just a bit on the bottom. Start the ignition process. While using a torch to help. Adding a layer of chips. More pellets. Then a few big chunks of soaked hickory wood at the top.( you have to cut out the screen on the lid to fit more) Letting it run and you get an unbelievable amount of smoke & if you prop up the lid just a little and use a wireless temp guage. You can achieve 117 degrees with it running. 130 degrees closed. And off just letting the pellets smoke 80 degree's for cheese... Have fun experimenting!
I saw the double silicon baskets for air crisp use. I ‘wondered’ if they would work for me. I want 2 smaller baskets rather than the 1 large basket that came with the smoker
