I like that idea much better! As you don’t lose an extra bed space and gain a lounge sofa area. I like the 17R Model with a bigger bathroom area no bunk beds and but that sofa in instead of a dinette. Thanks for the idea. 💡
TY. I'm looking to buy rv in the next month or 2 tops a d my first thought is the dinette seating will go because i need a desk area instead. I'm buying used but i still didnt wanna make a mess of the project. This was very helpful.
My only concern is that power control box. In my 17R it runs the cooling fan through the front which you have pretty much covered with the futon. I've accidentally blocked mine but noticed the blockage before it got too hot. Was 111 here that day and 88 inside as ac couldn't keep up. I live in my 17R by the way cat bird and I love it!!! Thanks for showing window upgrade. My next project
Do you know where I can get the original bench and table? When I purchased my 2022 Coleman. Travel camper the had taken it out and left only one bench. Any suggestions would be appreciated
+DoneItWithD thank you. Yeah that was definitely a huge improvement as far as air flow is concerned. We are currently trying to sell ours if you are interested in a used one with tons of upgrades.
Nice love it .. question you have to cut the fulton in the back around the wheel whale or push it enough to stop by the wheel whale? and can you do a video on how it looks back there
Do you have an inverter? They said they are installed but I don't know where, my outlets don't work unless I'm plugged into electrical. They also said maybe turned off but not sure where to find it or turn back on. Hmmmm. Camping World not helpful
+p. chuck morales, esquire yeah we were getting to the point where we weren't really eating inside either. We definitely like how it opened everything up. Thanks
Very nice. The factory seat cushions are less than comfortable for anything other than sitting straight up to eat...... A "Lagun" type swivel table could be added to each end for table/eating space.
Do you like the wall mounted a/c unit? Does it work well? Im looking at a 2022 used 17b with a ceiling a/c, 15,000 btu unit. What do you think would be better? Thanks!
We didn't mind it when sleeping on the queen but any other place in the camper definitely required some sort of circulation to be comfortable. It also drips down the outside of the camper leaving an unsightly rust line. Some people have added a gutter system to keep it from dripping but I'm sure it still leaves something. Our new camper is roof mounted and to be honest it does really well. Good luck, I hope this helps.
i freaking love love love love it much needed upgrade.. can someone do mine please im not that savvy at ALL ..... Have you tried magnets for the drawer???
Problem with the aurora is the couch is only 60 inches long. This one he put in is almost 70 inches long and looks like he could fit an even longer one. Personally I would want a 75 inch long couch (same length as a twin bed).
This is the best one
Wow I really love this upgrade. Made it more functional and appears to have more room. Awesome.

Looks nice. I prefer to keep my table area but that looks nice it really opened it up

Wish I saw what you did with the wheel well and the futon 🙏🙏
Thank You 😮
Looks great, my question is how do you eat diner and snacks ? Am thinking doing the same
Any chance you have the info on the leg extenders?
Been enjoying the series. Looking to pick one of these up soon. Favorite update was the windows for kitchen area!

Yes please! How did it just slide into place over the wheel well?
This particular futon has removable legs, so we just took off that one and the futon actually just sits on the wheel well.
Thank you so much for all your informative videos. Is it possible to do the same upgrade on this video, to the bed, behind the dinette?
How comfortable is the couch? Thinking of the same one.
It wasn't too bad. It's definitely a futon, it wasn't overly plush or anything. I've seen some that others have put in that look to be a bit nicer.

@@cathyr003 we didn't have an inverter but I'm pretty sure they are installed in the front storage area
That's awesome 👌
Great idea, it opens up the camper so 2 people can walk by each other and we never eat inside or use the table any way.
+p. chuck morales, esquire yeah we were getting to the point where we weren't really eating inside either. We definitely like how it opened everything up. Thanks

+S Williams yeah that would probably be pretty nice.

@@SmallFamilyBigDreams Good info. Thanks!
Hi! Your videos are great thank you. Just a quick question, what do you do to fill the holes in the floor after you take screws out? Thanks!
I typically just use the handle of a screwdriver and kind of just push the little bump back down and the pattern of the floor hides it pretty well.
Thank you. Excellent work and your video has kicked my wife in the butt to do the same.
i freaking love love love love it much needed upgrade.. can someone do mine please im not that savvy at ALL ..... Have you tried magnets for the drawer???
Check out the aurora 16bhx. This upgrade comes standard and cost 1,000 less overall than the Coleman LT 17B

I did the same with my bunkhouse model. Made a sofa, got rid of the booth. So much more Room
@Michael Breaux this is one of the best upgrades that we did.
Came here from the Facebook group! Love these upgrades man! Lemme know how you do with adding your outlets! Very interested;
+Tom Hallberg I don't plan on doing anymore upgrades to our 17B. We are in the process of selling it right now, sorry.
What are the latches you used to hold your cabinets
They are baggage door latches. I think Walmart has them but I know for sure camping world and Amazon have them. They are very cheap
@@SmallFamilyBigDreams thank you!!
you never said how you got around the wheel well
The futon had a removable leg so I just took it off and slid it over
Awesome work!! Link for the futon?
+Carlos Barragan there is a link in the description. I just updated it so hopefully it works now.
If I buy one of these, how much for you to do the job? I’m no craftsman 🤣
I think the futon link is wrong. It pulls up a chair.
+Erica Newman I think I've fixed it, but it shows as out of stock. It took us like 3 times trying to order it so hopefully it will be back in soon.
Question, can you access the wires for solar underneath the plywood where the main bed is? I'm trying to plan out where to set up solar upgrade.
I'm not 100 percent sure. Since we don't still have the camper and can't even go look for you. Sorry.
