Very very pretty! I love the colors and shining star is stunning! Thank you so much for doing these tutorials, they are super helpful and fun to watch! 💜💜
I’ve been on a UA-cam marathon watching all the different techniques on blending and I have to tell you that you do the best job of blending of anyone I have seen yet. I don’t like to see a line and many times I can. Yours doesn’t show the lines! Your attention to detail is very unique. Thank you for doing the video, I have learned a tremendous amount about blending from you. 🇨🇦
You are a great teacher. I think people tend to use too much paint or too much water. It’s a process for each us to find our way but you gave easy to follow tips! Colours looked together. Thx👏
It's a beautiful thing that you are sharing exactly how you got that wonderful blended look. I've been working on blending for a week or two and feeling like I have to rush. I was doing most of it the right way but now that I have seen your video, I can see that I've been adding too much water and messing things up. Thank you so much for really going through your whole process. I'll be in my shop playing again tomorrow with more confidence.
Mermaid blended dresser = totally awesome! Love these colors and the blend. I especially liked how you pointed out that we don't have to blend line by line; that we can bring a color down further. Thanks, Teach!
Thank you for such clear instructions, watching your video gave me the confidence to paint my granddaughter a mermaid dresser, first time blending, and she loves it!
I am currently watching a lot of my favourite utube upcyclers and your technique tutorials are my favourite! You’ve given me the confidence to try blending. I’ll send a pic if it works out. 😊
CrysDawna, I'm a French speaking oil painter and I just wanted to tell you that ombre is pronounced ohmbre with a short e! An (h) hombre is a Mexican dude! I'm also an English major so it's in my dna! Please don't take offense. I absolutely love your channel. You inspire me!!
I know this video is 2 years old but I wanted to thank you for doing such a great job explaining, teaching & demonstrating blending in an easy way to understand without over complicating it! This is the best video I've watched (& I've watched a lot lol) on blending different colors & now I finally feel like I'm ready to do my coastal beachy kinda ombre ladder bookshelf project! Completely different colors (I'm using aqua, greige & off white (maybe teal too) - I think lol) but you did such a good job explaining I think I'll be good! Wish me luck lol 😉
Hi Cristi, I love your work !! 😍😍😍😍 You are a good teacher explaining the blending technique and you are grateful for that, congratulations! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Greetings and blessings 😘✌🏻🇲🇽
You make this look so easy!! I still find blending a little intimidating.... but staying with it- ! These colors are gorgeous! ❤️ them!! Great project!
I just watched this video on my tv and went to my iPad to make this comment! You are now on my TV youtube feed and I have watched several of your videos in the last week or so. Great instruction, designs, and style! You have incredible vision for these very unique creations. Love what you do and will keep watching in order to emulate some of your designs. And yes I have subscribed! Also, you are super likeable! From Ottawa, Canada
thank you so so so much!!! I am a wild child really lol...I LOVEEEE color, and I just want to help inspire others to get colorful!! I am so glad you found me!!!!
Ok I love all your videos. Watched every one a dozen times you explain VERY well. So thank you. I really like how you show on this one that you can paint half of an area that has already dried and not need to go over the entire drawer again. I always thought you would see the paint line but I guess the key is patience and waiting. I swear I tried this before and it was super noticeable. Maybe there is differences amongst brands as to whether you can see or not? Or maybe I did not wait long enough 🤣. I have used your techniques for blending and it works great, except for one thing I’m having soooo much trouble with. It’s on the side, so I’ll go to that video to comment and if you can help 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 that would be awesome. Again thanks for all of your tutorials 💖.
Claire514 I will try to do one for sides :) I think that’s a problem spot for a lot of people, different brands blend differently the key is to go up just even a cm or two from the original line then blend there :) hopefully that makes sense I will make sure I address that alson
Bella Renovare by Crys’Dawna it does it makes sense. And I generally have no problem with this type of blending but yes I find larger areas super hard. I followed your video on ‘learn the art of blending’ (I just commented there) where you demonstrated on the side of a piece before. However, if you’d like to do more videos on larger surfaces, where outside edges are darker than middle, I wouldn’t mind!! Ha. The more the better, you’re a great teacher.
Hi Bella, I tried to blend today and it was a disaster ( think my colours were the wrong choice) I’m new to painting and tried to do it like you lol You make it look so easy but it certainly isn’t, I will try again when I have lighter colours thanks for your videos love watching you have a wonderful talent x
ooo no!!! okay maybe try with only two color that are very similar in color....check out this video it may help a little to show dow to really get the hang of it :) ua-cam.com/video/gwcrg-wqpmc/v-deo.html
Love your vids! Question: I am an artist using acrylic paints on furniture (not even close to this! its more funky and brightly colored designs)and would love to try this technique. So instead of me running out to get all these chalk colored paints, can I just use my acrylic paints and maybe a gel medium? Have you ever tried that?
I'm wanting to do a peice of furniture such as u have this one. The only difference is I want to add pink into it. Can I do that or does that color not work at all with these colors?
Where do you sell all these beautiful creations of yours? I've been searching everywhere I can think of but I am unable to find anything. I'm curious. thank you
So gorgeous! I like to buy paint samples from the hardware store, do you think this technique will work with satin or eggshell paint or does it have to be chalk or flat paint to blend right? Thank you for sharing your knowledge!!
Jennie Hardin you can try it :) generally latex type pint don’t blend quite as well but it’s not impossible and you could perfect it with practice :) You are welcome keep me posted 🧡🧡🧡
Learning to blend and your videos are really helpful! About your sander...the link you have ... does it come with the vacuum set up or is that separate? Thank you. Love your work!
Donna Curry thank you Donna!! So I put the set on the link because it comes with sanding pads and such otherwise you can just buy the sander but you have to get sanding pads and sand paper anyways so I just did it to make it easier ❤️❤️❤️
Donna Curry no it doesn’t come with the vaccum but all you need a a shop vac, I just used the one I already had :) usually if you buy the vaccum their customer service will contact you just to make sure you have everything or tell you what vaccum to get they are SUPERRR helpful!!! Also!! I have a coupon code for you- use BELLARENOVARE10 ❤️❤️
I'm going to be doing a dresser with amethyst, the gulf, and mermaid tail. I was thinking of doing the gulf, then mermaid tail, then amethyst. What do you think?
Omg Crys’Dawna I need your help please! I dont know what im doing wrong with blending but it always either all blends together to make one horrible color or its blended but the lines are a little hard. Isk what im doing wrong! I have separate brushes Like u said, mister bottle, towels to get paint off of neutral brush. Could I be using to much water? You made this look so easy!! Id appreciate any advice, thanks so much
Also, I find it very hard when a piece has like a pictures frame type side. You know, like its set in further and has an edge all the way around? I dont know what to do there so it doesnt look messy
Bella Renovare by Crys’Dawna I think I am. either I make one new color on the whole piece (that isnt blended lol) or it does blend but I cant get it to flow smoothly together. It looks splotchy. Girl u make this thing look too easy!
I would say they are the same as your dresser and nightstand if not very close. The chest of drawers is close to the same size just vertical..... if that makes sense lol.

This is awesome!! But I have a question, can you blend still, if your furniture needs priming?
Absolutely!! Do your primer. Then add your base coats over and blend away :) easy Peasy :)
This is gorgeous..where can i find your mister bottle?
I love this piece!!! What did you use to seal it! 😍
Thanks for the class =)

what brand of brushes are you using please thanks

Bella B lots and lots of practice....
I would put that in my room
Can you do this with gray scale paint with white?
Allison Davis are you asking me to one you show or are you asking if you can do it? Because the answer is yes to both ❤️❤️❤️
Where can I order the same spray bottle you used for the water?
you can grab it here :)

How many pieces will you paint? And what size?
