This was so delightful. Easy to watch. I watch a ton of furniture videos. This was the first time I have seen great detail on how to paint drawer sides, the joints along seams, etc. I really struggle with those areas of a piece where there are deep grooves to paint, joints that don't quite paint properly, and drawers. You are an expert. Consider doing a video or 2 that focus on these topics....drawers...and joints and grooves.

OMGeee... purple is my favorite color but it is an overpowering color. That peacock color though!! WOW!! I am chicken to start blending, so I think I'll get me a practice board or 3 and start with that before moving on to an actual piece of furniture. Sometimes when you're brushing, I find my hand start to raise up and start brushing, too. I think this is a good thing, because it gives me the 'feel' of what you're doing. Then, when I try it on a piece, I strive for that 'feel'. I love this piece, speaks of Mermaids to me. The crystal knobs are absolutely perfect with it!

Thanks for ALL the tips on blending. My plan is to use this technique on my bedroom furniture. Presently the wood colors are similar and it looked good when we had a larger bedroom. But we have downsized and now the different colors look too chaotic.

I love the fact that you’re giving different versions of blending. The different colors and the different pieces I’ll help me to wrap my brain around can I blend.
