- If you're a mid-sized sedan these days, you'd better stand out. And that's the problem that the 2024 Nissan Altima is facing. In a class that includes the Hyundai Sonata, Honda Accord and Toyota Camry, what is it about the Altima that's going to grab your attention? Well this one is the SR model, which means it has a trick engine under the hood. So let's see if that gives it a boost over the competition.

Although it might not be up to 2024 standards in technology, in my opinion, it is the best-looking car from its competitors.
Agreed!!
I give it to the k5
Kia k5!!!!
Why in the world would anybody want to buy a KIA, I guess they like visiting the repair centers.
@@NightLifeDJs1I think they mean in looks. I agree, I would avoid Kia, even if they have a really long warranty
I have a Nissan Altima hit the dash mark on the shifter and it unlocks the Altima into sportz mode there try it and be amazed trust me if you have an Altima TRY IT it will say Ds on the dash that means your in sports mode
Omg I just got mine today & I’m in love
Wish they had kept the lever manumatic shifting like i have in my old altima. Interior looks good and the Nissan steering wheels always look cool.
I gotta follow this guy. He’s honest.
This dude said tom tom and my mind went whoa I forgot all about those.
What do you think apple maps uses?
Loveee the Altimaaa dream car fr
Well at least you're keeping your dreams grounded lol

Thank you. Thumb up.
SR alone does not mean "Trick Engine" under the hood. it's a Turbo SR, that's where the Trick Engine comes in. SRs start with a 2.5L engine, the Turbo SR is a 2.0L Turbo.
Excellent ride ❤
$40k for a Altima is wild.
Yes...
27k where I live
My 2024 Sentra SV looks extremely similiar in terms of interior. I actually prefer the Sentra interior to this one. Wild.
In Canada the Nissan altima sr doesn't come with 360 camera and it only comes with platinum
They discontinued the PLATINUM in the states and the SR VCTURBO replaced it
Screens for gauges just sounds like another failure point standard is fine
It is a perfect car for someone who is going to beat on it going to work and back for a few years and turn it it for another lease. Not something you want to buy for long term ownership.
Go to 4:33 and look at the shifter that dash mark changes owning one of these all 40k worth it
I have owned a 2015 SV, and currently own a 2018 SL. Looking at at 2024 SR.
But the MSRP is stupid high. Way inflated.
The whole market is like that but that may be changing as we speak.

Why does every reviewer forget that the legacy is in the midsize car segment?? With standard AWD i might add
I thought it was a 2.0T. Not a 2.5T
I knew he was a bad reviewer the second he said that. It’s 2.0t
@@cherianthoppiljoshua3338the Altima he is reviewing is a 2.0 turbo
W5-30 synthetic motor oil
P235 / 45 /R19 tires 🛞
87 octane gas but i will still use 95 octane
Wipers blades ?
Dexter Lombardo out 🤠
4:33 can’t really compare the 2023 Honda Accord to the current Altima being that the Accord is BRAND NEW and the Altima is a refresh. The 2018-2022 Honda Accord had hand touch plastic in the same areas as the Altima.
New Camry is a refresh.. Blows this out the water
@@JamaicanMeCrazy new Camry is a redesign. The current one is a refresh. In my opinion the new Camry is nice exterior wise, not a fan of the interior.
@@Chris_really_ nah bro it's a heavy refresh but it's the same platform. Just look at the side profile of the 2025 vs the 2024 and you'll see it's virtually identical. Wheelbase is identical down to the millimeter. Interior space identical to the millimeter because.. it's not all new. Shell is the same too. What they changed is the front and rear fascia. If I'm not mistaken you could probably bolt on the '24 doors right on the '25. But three drivetrain is all new and the interior too
@@JamaicanMeCrazy well yeah technically it’s a heavy “refresh” because the side profile is basically the same and the shape BUT since it’s a new generation it’s a redesign
2.5 l turbo I'm pretty sure it's a 2.0 l turbo they haven't made a 2.5 l turbo ever in a Altima
I have a pearl white 2023 SR 2.0 VCTURBO (platinum package) and I love it. Trades my 2019 Accord in for it and it’s a good trade
At least it’s better than the 9th gen Camry. Not as good as the 8th gen though
Na bro my 23 camry xse red with the black roof looks better and it sold more and it well last longer
It’s a pretty car on the outside, but that’s about it. The interior has extremely cheap fake-feeling leather, the screen resolution is horrible and laggy. I used to like Nissans but when I started driving a lot of them I can’t stand them now.
It’s not a 2.5 it’s 2.0
Nit picky review
Camry way better bro and the accord is too the cvt in this car is trash.
Not the new ones you don't know what you're talking about.....the older CVT had issues but they've improved a lot ..don't speak if you're going to be ignorant
Still trash car. camry and the accord are better and sell more check the numbers bro
I wouldn't judge without driving. Renault sold their majority shares back to Nissan. Carlos Ghosn basically turned Nissan into trash. It was once a very reliable car before the late 90s. Now that Nissan has resumed control again, they might surprise people.
I saw a beautiful White Maxima this morning that puts that Altima to shame!
You saw a car that's 10 years older than an Altima and got wet?😂
Cvt😢
Buy a used Maxima. Way better.
so all in all it's a trash car 😂
I'd rather have just about any other sedan than have to live with the stigma of being an Altima driver. Probably take a Subaru Legacy for its truly great, luxury class seats (in Limited and Touring XT trim) and get AWD as a bonus.
A blah car... Buy a KiA.😂
So it can get stolen by teenagers?
@@chemjam92 In which case it's clearly KiA's fault. 🤣
A KIA? wow what a huge downgrade.
