Chris, I've been flying and watching FPV videos on UA-cam for over 7 years and I find myself watching your videos more and more. I believe the extra tests that you do g8ves me the kind of information I need on whether or not this could be a quad I would enjoy. Nice job
Awesome flying and review, Chris! 😃 You need to fly it outside! It's too much fun, perhaps even illegal! 😂 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
I pulled my UFL connector off my board just recently and I can't solder one back on. It is so hard. I wish there were the local shop. I can just take it too
Hoi Crhis. 🥰
I bought a Cockroach frame for my whoop (mostly because of bad stock availability)... It broke extremely quickly. First bit broke in less than 5 batteries, IIRC. Meanwhile I've flown a BetaFPV whoop for years and still not managed to break any part of the frame.
I have questions about "dynamic idle" i try some value but the motor spining static when i flying inverted in the air, same like when i arm, the motor spin every 1 second like under power and 4 motor is not syncrone( I try at the acro mode). Second try, i try at the air mode, i hear the prop is still spining smooth i feel higher than my static 7% whitout dynamic idle. The conclusion of my questions is dynamic idle will work acro mode or air mode? *Sorry my english maybe not good:D
Chris, I'm changing my Betafpv Meteor75 Pro 's canopy and Camera, for lighting and to change the angle. The only problem is that the external vtx can't sit r8ght on the board, right? What is your best suggestion to create a way of putting the external vtx on something like two tape, shrink wrapping the vtx or just some foam...? Ty so much for your time
I believe the giant capacitor is overkill but its a warning sign i use the old mobula 7 board and alot of them burnt out due to the lack of capacitor quality on the board. People would put a smaller 9v capacitor on and they would still burn out the board eventually when you plug them in i run a 16v on my 2s mob 7 and its around 3 or 4 years old now so it does help
Hey Chris/anyone I would like to buy the aos 3 toothpick frame but can’t find it any where can anyone tell me where I can pick one up or when new stock will be available?
@@henrilebovic5229 no blackbox, thin too long power cable, way too small motor plugs, mpu 6000, linear vtx antenna, elrs with diversity even tho you wont even failsave a ceramic antenna elrs reciever with that linear antenna vtx that barely does 400mw on r8. I guess some of those I can see myself fixing, but it seems to be one of the better options for a quad like this. For a noob like me noobeedrone seems fitting. Nice tune. Also I heard that happymodel has had some quality issues? Do you know of another drone like this worth checking out?
@@henrilebovic5229 the tune didnt look thought out at all in betaflight, specially that it doesnt have dynamic idle enabled wich makes these quads fly way better. I would get the betafpv air 75, they did most things right, and it has more than enough power, you reeally dont need 2s on a quad that size. It also has a good tune and its extremely light wich is awesome for a tinywhoop. The price is also amazing
@@trumblez ok thanks this is very helpful. I looked at some videos about the drone and it seems like flight time is a little less but yes cheaper. From what I can tell the meteor75 gets about the same flight time as the air75 so do you think the flight performance with the lighter air75 really outweighs the better durability on the meteor?
I know I compare peanut with walnut. Compared to AIR75 this drone sucks. It is just too heavy. I have a similar 2s whoop and it makes no fun (again compared to AIR75). I don't want to advertise anything but for a good friend I would recommend air75: 65$ cheaper, much lighter, 5-7 min flight time (room temperature). I started my fpv jorney with this size of whoop (2s). I had fun with it, because I didn't know any better. Thank you for the review Chris.
Air 75 is 1s, this drone is 2s which means it's not too heavy. This drone does not suck, you're just comparing it to one of the best 75mms out there currently. Motor connectors do not matter and setting up betaflight is how most bnf came. I think you're just trying to fly 2s drones in the wrong situations. I agree though when I was beginning, I got a big ass 2s whoop because I thought more power was better lol I'm saying all this assuming you're newer to fpv but I could be wrong. I just think you're being a little hard on the goober 😢😂
@@serenestateofbeing1062 started fpv 4 years ago. I have 1s and 2s whoops, 2s toothpicks, 4s long range, 4s cinewhoops, 6s 5 and 6 inch, and multiple 7 inch drones. It is just possible to cover so much cases with a good 1s, even in windy situations, so I don't really see a good use of 2s whoop (2s cinewhoops is another category and is useful in my opinion).
@@YourdailydoseofShorts-un5viI somehow thought this one weighed a lot less, thats my mistake. Also you've been flying 2 years longer than me so how ironic of me to leave that dumb response to your comment. I do have to change my mind and agree with you though. The 1s drones recently are insane, even my 65mm don't even flinch in medium wind
Still the same firmware issues, where we have to wait for newbeedrone to release their own hex builds because they don't send their OSD driver code to betaflight. Nope. I want to fly the latest builds.
That second 2.4 antenna wobbling about and able to get into the prop arcs as supplied is very poor design ! The lack of protection from the ducts when for example you inadvertantly bump something and the quad tips up is also an unacceptable risk, as those motors have enough grunt to cut and gouge furnishings and flesh and its heavy enough to hit with some inertia. What's the point in suffering the inherent handling penalties of ducts if they don't do their prime task? Appreciate the weather that day but IMO that quad is outdoor only and this test misses that, hopefully you'll update? 1mm JST on that size/current motor?....... PFFT. Hard to see what this quad offers out of the box that would make it in any way desirable. Each to their own, but not for me. (And I have five 75's to compare it to inc a couple of well used indoor/outdoor own designs)
All my 75s are carring the weight of HDZero HD so two board. No AIO5 single boards yet. Despite this, the lightest ex battery is a whopping 9.1g lighter than this Acrobee, that is still with motor plugs, so also longer than needed cabling on motors and battery lead that could be shorter so lighter. Being 1S there's a further sizeable relative saving when battery weight is added. As others have said, 85 and above 2S are better for outdoor close range, 1S 75 best for indoors/garden with a 530/660 flat for good flight duration. This model is a no win loser that misses the sweet spot completely IMO.

2:00, are these motors more powerful than, say, the Betafpv 1102 22000 kv motors
Are the 0804 not 12p as usual with the size? A 14p 0804 stator must be super cramped.
I think they just forgot to set it in betaflight, so rpm filtering will not work as expected
What goggle are you using?
Drone Jesus Has Spoken 🙌
I can't seem to stay on race 8.....? My goggles just go back to race 7
The battery holder is made for the 550 mah
The concept is soo good but they did everything they could wrong, this is really sad
Why is that? I am comparing this to the mobula 8 and it seems much more refined no?
