    I love the doors. They had more impact on my thought process than any other education I have received.

    May God bless my friend and guitar hero, the great and incomparable Robby Krieger! He's such a humble, loving, and generous human being.
    Robby is also a musical genius and a living icon. He's still expanding on his genius by creating brilliant and innovative music today! He's an incredible songwriter, composer, musician, and arranger. He's incredibly versatile as a guitar player. He plays so many different styles so well, blues, psychedelia, rock and roll, jazz-rock, rhythm and blues, funk, hard rock, and flamenco.
    This cat is highly underrated! But, that's okay because true music intellectuals are aware of his brilliance.
    My favorite guitar solos by him are from Texas Radio and The Big Beat, Who Scared You, When The Music's Over, It Slipped My Mind, and The Mosquito, from the FULL CIRCLE album.
    A real funky and melodic cat! His son Waylon is also a talented and charismatic singer as well.
    Shout out from your homie Frantz, Robby!

    This is a great interview by Matt. Love that Robby is still prolific and recording this late in life that he forgets the name of his last album. May he get to do it right up the end like Bergman and Kurosawa did with film.

    It was before Moonlight Drive on the Strange Days album. Love the Doors and specially Morrison and Robbie. It took all of the band to make it work.

    Robby’s great to listen to. When I was in college in 81 we would hang out with a friend who had a good stereo with a limited record collection but one of them was Strange Days and that’s when I grew to love that album. I’ve got tickets to the show in Castaic. I’m a fan of the Soft Parade. I think the LP sounds amazing and it’s been on regular rotation since I bought the box set a few months back. Five stars. Signed copy of Robby’s book I couldn’t put down, that’s why I’m so into the Doors again.

    9:22 Also didn't nutty Professor Irwin Corey live there too? He loved Castro-the asshole! Does Matt even have his microphone on? Is "stronger than dirt" audible on cd? i seem to remember it was not.

      He signed my old boot VHS that Ray had signed years earlier too bad Ray's signature is pretty faded and Robbie's is to Lee which collectors don't like or i'd sell it for a lot

    Strange Days is a better album than the debut in my opinion.

    • @mavenofmacau6391

      a few people say that. cant agree though. neither would anyone in the band. they took the ones they thought were better for the first album.

    • @JoeyArmstrong2800
      @JoeyArmstrong2800 25 днів тому

      @mavenofmacau6391 The debut has the iconic songs on it but I think "Strange Days" as an album is more consistent, interesting and a more enjoyable listen. To each their own.
