I am on day 3 of life with my Aria. So far, it has been amazing!!!! Question. Is it all the way open, considering the stock flow on the Aria? or is all the way open OVER stock flow. My Aria has about 270 degrees of rotation. And why is the Aria set to 12 bars from the factory?
Hey CW, thanks for sharing your thoughts on the Amazing Aria! Stock flow rate with no FC installed is ~12-13g/s. You'll get that with the FC valve about 5/8 to 3/4 of a turn open. If you have a scale you can confirm your precise rate by running pump, catching and weighing the water output during say 10 seconds and dividing grams out by 10 etc. Bezzera does setup many of their machines to ~12bar static pressure. You can adjust if desired by tuning the bypass of the rotary pump.
@ So I found the chart on your website for the flow rate. All the way open would be around 16.5 g/s. The new Arias only have 3/4 of a turn from all the way open to all the way closed, is that correct?
@@CharlieWellness It's a bit confusing with the redesign. I believe in the chart you reference fully open is 3/4 turn =16.2g/s, 5/8 open = 11.3g/s so stock flow rate is at a hair over 5/8. Using higher than stock flow rates is fairly rare. While, stock flow rate varies by manufacturer average is 11g/s for rotary pump machines and 7g/s for vibration pump. In most cases recommend you go no more than 5/8 turn open on your FCD.
