Ain't gonna work. They'll spend an average of 90 seconds per match getting comboed and drop the game. Every little touch is a 20-30 hit combo waiting to happen. Honestly I don't see a healthy casual scene for this game. Obviously the Alpha lab isn't done but so far it's brutal for new players.
@@Tw1dg1t am i wrong for thinking this is a vast exaggeration? if the ranked system is any good, or if you can get a group of friends to play with one another, new players wont just get stomped in every match; people dont start consistently doing “good” combos or conversions in fighting games until you reach a percentage of players that, perhaps from the perspective of a more experienced player, is surprisingly small. i would think that it’s much more likely that the gameplay loop of fighting games simply not interesting new people would be the reason that they dont stick with it, and thats something thats expected and completely fine imo

these guys are veteran fg players with several years of experience, the average player you meet wont even come close to the level of these players so you dont need to worry too much about it

Could someone help me out? That thing is fucking me over bad, thanks in advance
Hopefully the devs are really thinking over whether they want these gigalong TOD combos. The “I got hit, guess I’m done playing this round” seems like a really big feels bad moment.
Honestly if you use all your meter or 5 bars and both assists and its a hard combo and its off a heavy starte its fine. But if its off a light starter thats when it becomes stupid cause that basically means if you get hit last round by a light you're dead. But situational tods are fine i think

As someone who mainly just watches tag games and sticks to street fighter I don’t care either way, but if they want the game to have the same reach as their other genres idk if these TODs are good for the health of the game long term

Mind you by scrub i don't mean new players, i mean people who think they're always better than others and don't need to improve, they will spam the rekka and since its the alpha no one knows how to deal with it except good players, and when they do deal with it most ahris have nothing else. Its really a shame cause she's cool but if you're not aware of what resources to use she's basically a instant win condition. I've met few ahri players with substance and not just s1 air dash spamming, they're fun to play against
