My aunt is an English teacher in Japan and to her experience, she pretty much enjoys it. But again, the culture difference was the hardest thing for her. I also grew up in Japan and I had this funny ALT and I asked his experiences of being one. You can really tell how he loves his job a lot by the way he talks about it. He’s been teaching in Japan for 11 years. He understands Japanese but he can’t speak Japanese lol. While I’m the opposite. I can understand English but I can’t speak it. So he talks to me in English and I talk to him in Japanese, it’s so funny So if someone says don’t be an English teacher in Japan, just keep in mind that not everyone has the same exact experiences. Try it out first, quit the job if it isn’t for you.

蜩の泣く頃に~
I subscribed twice!
I don’t know how, but your channel - and four others - had dropped from my subscriptions. I assumed you’d stopped posting.
But now I’m back!
Thank you for resubscribing.
Love the classic style of Japanese school 😊
Me too. This school was 100 years old.
I miss Japan.. the best time in my life
I hope you can come back.
I taught English in Taiwan many years ago. Most of my students were from K-thru Jr. High. Most of the little girls all had a crush on me. They were so much fun to teach, I stayed for 5 years.
Ah, I miss doing summer camp and actually going somewhere with my students.
Sigh, maybe this year.
This video is awesome, and looks insanely fun.
Thank you so much. We had a really good time.
Japan looks so beautiful and it's really cool to see how a high-school class learns there
thats so cool! i wish i could go to japan
Amazing ! I wish I could go to Japan in the future
I want to do this again , i will let you know when we get a chance.
Thank you for everything Richard! I would be there again in a heartbeat.
I absolutely love Assassination Classroom anime! I have watched the movie as well as series in 2022 after my finals were over, it was such a great feeling and it was my first anime I watched other thna simple cartoon ones like Doraemon and Shin Chan❤❤
OMG that is probably the best video I've ever seen 🖤🖇 This is kinda lookin so fun 😂
Awww, I'm so happy you think so.
That is so cool you tried it Alyssa! Seeing the kids also on a out of school day was nice to see & glad to see everyone having fun in the dodgeball game. Oh the boys asking you the boyfriend will always be priceless.
What a beautiful school.
It must be nice to get to go outside during the day! The US really doesn’t have opportunities for older students to be able to do that
Because america is a communist and dictatorship under a shadow government. Nothing in the country is free, or even on this planet. Having life after death is we’re we all should be looking forward to! 🙏
Been to Japan...really friendly ppl.
Love from Northeast India..it's so different how to speak
Meghalaya here 🤗
But, But I am subscribed. You are right, I fully watch every one of your videos as you know, cause they are brilliant. I remember some of these hits from back when you initially released them. Well you accomplish one of your travel goals that you mentioned in this video, since you and Tommy finally made it to Hawaii for a vacation. This less structured view of Japanese students showed that the same types of students are in every class, no matter where in world. Additional footage made everything new.
Thank you so much Jim! You’re right! I said in this video that I wanted to go there. By the way our friend Ninjamonkey is coming back to Japan next month. I’ll probably hangout with him again.
@@OrientalPearl I know and hopefully one of you or better yet both you will film some of your interactions. The day you released your previous video I mentioned that it was a good day because you had released a great video and then Ninja Monkey went on about how great you and your channel were. A subject upon which we are in 100 % agreement.
@@OrientalPearl Yess!! hehe
Very interesting video!♥♥I'm a new fan! Oriental Pearl, Where are your ancestry from?? Germany?? UK?? Scandinavia? I wish the best for you & your husband! Love from a Korean Guy in Norway!♥ God Bless you!
I’m so happy to have a new fan in Norway. You’re going to love my new Korean videos coming up soon.
im learning Japanese!!!!! thanks for helping me along the way!
Wow. That Japanese guy was more cheeky than I ever was in any foreign language class introduction. I remember in college one guy said he was learning Spanish to talk to girls. That made me laugh but this guy was way over the top.
Ha ha, at least he was being honest about why he wanted to learn Spanish lol.
@@OrientalPearl I’m not very honest 😆 建前など。
I loved watching this. Thank you so much!
When I retire, I really want to go teach English in Japan.
That would be fun. It’s a lot more fun when you can just do it part time.
Now, Deulingo app have come in the market
Hi Anming,
Where did you shoot the video?
Looks like a nice place.
By the way, I saw all the videos you uploaded from the beginning when the epidemic started and this is the first time you say your real name.
very nice to meet you 🙂
@The_Oriental_pearl will do !
You forgot to mention Detroit's greatest contribution to the world, Little Caesars. 🍕
This is a valid point lol
It is nice to see that you volunteered yourself in nuturing these young Japanese. They are very dffierent from the teenagers some 20 years ago. When I was in Japan as a teenager for a exchange programme, teens were alot more reserved and shy, just like my countrymen. Too bad none of wants to visit my country. But the people from my country would die to visit Japan. I hope you'd visit Singapore one day. Cheers
I visited Singapore in 2019. It was really nice. Maybe I'll go back again some day.
@@OrientalPearl Great. I’m sure Singaporeans will appreciate that you speak Mandarin to the ethnic Chinese people. Learn a bit of Singlish as well. 😀 It would be interesting if you were to do a special Vlog in my home country.
omg…😮
I’m a graduate of the school.
And I know the math teacher
Thank you for posting. I enjoy your videos Alyssa 👍
Koro-Sensei approves this 👍🏻
かっこい。So it was a summer camp. Thank you for sharing.
A teacher in Greenland.
I had to Google "Assassination Classroom".
Yeah, I know my regular audience isn't into anime. This video will fall into the hands of anime fans via the algorithm.
💛💛💛lovely video. I hope that they guard in their hearts these experience for the rest of theirs lifes.🙏🙏🙏
Wow looks nice to see a rural place where some Japanese junior high school kids can speak abit English not shyly.... Teaching English is quite fun especially the students try their best to participate and be active 😸
Yeah, it was really cool. I'll remember this experience forever.
Wow how fantastic 👏 such an incredible experience ❤.
Thanks for having us along 😀 greetings from England 🇬🇧 Simon and Beth ❤️ 😀 🙋♥️
Thank you so much. Sending love from Japan to England.
É incrível a ligação que você tem com os japoneses. 👏👏👏👏👏👏😊parabéns.
