Keelan Matthews do it on a wall that isn't verticle, that's just angled, with a grass ground, and bend down so your ass is almost on the ground and do them really low so if you mess up and faceplant it won't hurt. Then slowly do it higher and higher until you can do it standing up
It's not about landing hard, you really want to absorb the landing and transition sort of like a plyo. Watch the slow mo a bit more carefully and try to see where the energy goes as I land and transition to the dash drop.
