You make this look sooo easy!! Awesome move! Also, I know you already have a tutorial of the Butterfly Kick on your channel but I really enjoyed the new style of this tutorial with the close ups and everythign and I was wondering whether you could maybe redo the Butterfly Kick. Either way, thanks a lot. I'm definately gonna try this move!!
I have two questions: 1. Are you supposed to roll over your shoulder or the side of your arm? 2. How do I avoid coming out on the wrong foot? I jump from my right foot (opposite to you) but then I sometimes put my right foot on the ground after the roll, instead of coming out on the side of my left leg like you. Please give me some tips, I really like this move :)
In case you all missed it this week, LEARN THIS TRICK! I've been getting such good feedback about athletes learning it very quickly, within hours of watching my tutorial. See how you fair! Enjoy!
Hey epic i have been doing taekwondo for 10 years now and i can do most kicks still working on a 720 (or c900) but for demonstrations i want to use more flips to make it seem more showy, i dont know which to learn first or how to start with it. So if you could reply that would be extremely helpful and i would be very grateful, thanks and keep doing what you are doing much support
I can't tell you which trick to learn first because there are so many to learn. Just pick one, try your hand at it, if you think you can learn it then train on it! If it feels too difficult, move to the next one. I have tutorials all over my channel on how to do certain tricks, perhaps scroll through and find one you like?
Thank you so much for answering my question it really shows that you want to connect with your fan base and not just say you do and do nothing about it like some people on youtube. I will most definitely take a look through your videos and hopefully train on something and become good at it then continue to progress. Thanks again and as I said before, much support here :)
My knees sometimes give me pain after an incorrect landing. It's usually my left knee but this time it's both because I landed pretty hard doing a "back to back" side flip. Doing one and upon landing doing another. Anyways, point is I'm gunna focus on the 360 dive roll and this inward 360 dive roll until they're all better. Thanks for the tutorials!
Hey Kyle. Can you remake the Touchdown Raiz tutorial? I am having some trouble understanding the whole setup of the kicking off the ground and planting your hand on the ground part of the trick. You're a great tricker man. Keep up the good work! :)
Hey Kyle EPIC Mendoza, this is Aalekh Oza from India! I really love your videos because it's really good teaching! What I wanted to ask is, as I am a beginner I am scared to do all these so, what kind of crash pads should I go for? What kind of flooring you have on the "FLIP SIDE arena"? #HappyTricking #Thanksforyourvideos
what do you think the best place to try my first flips would be, because i dont have access to a gym or enough cushions to provide decent padding. ive been doing parkour for about 2 - 3 months and i would love to learn front and side flips. thanks!
If you have a beach nearby, you could bury an exercise ball halfway in the sand and try flips off of that. Or you could do the same in your backyard, or any grassy place where they won't have a problem with a small hole in the ground!
She keeps trying to walk but hasn't quite gotten control over her balance yet, so she's learning to fall, learning to stand, and before we know it, she's gonna be walking and then I'll be in even more trouble. hahaha
Could you make a tutorial for rolling off ledges? At the minute I keep rolling off the small of my back but I see all the pros go off their shouder blades. Struggling to go off my shoulder though. There are no tutorials for this on UA-cam as it is.
Judge your distance in your rolls, focus on controlling where you place your hands and where your shoulders are after, and use that to measure your roll.
no that's not my problem. I can roll off my shoulder, but it's not as naturally and I land so horribly it could be considered falling off the ledge. Off my lower back I'm the right way up, so I'm controlled, but off my shoulder, I sort of drop like a stone. But I know that off my shoulder would be better if I can get the hang of it
TaggartPK Check your speed. Most of the time it's difficult to get the hang of a movement because you're not committing enough. Imagine trying to do a speed vault while walking; it'd suck!
Thanks Phaneron but it's sweet now. This was almost a year ago. Not to come off as cocky or anything but I put in a LOT of practice and my rolls are actually pretty tasty now.
I thought I had it! until i watched this video again... :( It seems that I end up rolling in the wrong direction. I jump from my left foot, swing my right foot, turn to the right, and roll over my left shoulder... Isn't it right? So when I go towards for example a tree, and then do the move, I end up facing away from the tree when I'm finish...
2:20 creepy lady just staring into your soul.... 0.o
This tutorial helped me a lot to understand the movement more and correct the way that I was doing them. Thanks EPIC!
This looks like something I can actually learn :D
i was thinking the same xDD
Yes i totally agree! Tried it the day this was posted and now I do it everywhere! Very fun.
After watching this tutorial I went outside and learned it. Really nice tutorial you explain things very well

I honestly don't think there's a better person to teach freerunning and tricking you address everything and really help everyone XD

Thanks for the tutorials!
Do pistol squats and hanging hamstring curls as rehab for that knee. I also had pain in my left knee, and doing more squats and curls fixed it!
Awesome job on this video, Epic. I got it down with in the first hour of trying it thanks to your amazing tutorial!
Thanks! This tutorial was so good so i think i can already to inward 360 dive roll
lol lady standing in doorway at 2:17
hella creepy
2:15 Soon.....
So knowing the windmill in breakdancing would help? The collapse i noticed is the same motion haha

Tutorial - Raiz (w/ TD Raiz Tips)

#HappyTricking #Thanksforyourvideos
Find a local gym that offers Open Gyms or go buy some martial arts puzzle mats and make a floor space for training.
Thank you so much Kyle for replying and helping us learn to do the same :)
From the handstand are you rolling from shoulder to shoulder or shoulder to the opposite hip
gonna try this one :D its so nice
Do you have any tips for a front flip? I've been trying for a week but I can't get the tuck down
What would u consider to be the easiest spin/ twist trick
Is it considered wrong if i kick with my right and roll towards my left? Instead of the same side of the kicking leg?
the one on the driveway at the end looks like you're slamming your shoulder into the ground, ouch
Powermove Squadron ya...

I'm going to have a try at this move
are you going to make a video of making your armor?
im still rooling at the side at the handstand position.what do you think is the problem?
Please please please make a tutorial on the full twist
Adding a kip up after the roll would look nice.
Sooo.. i know how to do a 360 kick with my right and a very sloppy 360 on my left. Will i be able to do that?
Do you think it would be good to try it on a tramp as a progression?
Gabriel Weible yes
how can I add momentum after the inward 360 roll to execute it with the starfish kip up?
This help a lot
do a tutorial for side full out, its like you do a half of sideflip and then you kick out and do a full
Could you do tutorial for 360 Side Flip?
I always thought you did this move out of a tunnel flip. That's atleast how I learned it.
omg there is just a woman staring at Epic through the screen door at 2:15 xD
probably just his wife
Angela Chui Actually the woman in the doorway is my grandma. My wife has been in my videos before.
***** Cool. BTW, how's Bryley doing?
She keeps trying to walk but hasn't quite gotten control over her balance yet, so she's learning to fall, learning to stand, and before we know it, she's gonna be walking and then I'll be in even more trouble. hahaha
***** and then she'll be tricking after that...
This is good!!!!!
where should i train this?
Vat19 bought me here. Awesome tutorials you got there haha

Like I said, judge your distance. Know where to plant your hands, and where to plant our shoulders, how to feel the rotation.

That's correct. Just drill your rolls so that you can control the direction of exit.
Update: Thanks to your vid I will now be using this newly learnt trick in my upcoming video! lol
Got it on the first try!
thanks for this.. :)
2:14 lady in the background

The lady standing In the doorway haha
Did anyone else notice the lady in the door at 2:15?
At 2:16 it's either a ghost or his wife I'm not sure
When you're rolling, point your toes towards your shins and you will roll on to your feet instead of the top of your ankles.
Dislocated my collarbone😑
Ain't no rest for the wicked
2:19 look at the door...
My teacher on parcour gave me an homework on this trick
