    I love watching the making of classic Disney movies as they always featured the nine old men in their interviews..

    I think the reason why Pinocchio is my favorite movie of all time (besides the absolutely fantastic animation) is that it has this dark and satirical side to it that most other Disney movies can't match. Walt Disney was always a master of having charm and warmth in his works, but when he was going to make a movie based off something so cynical, satirical and bizarre, he had to tone it down and replace it with something wholesome and likeable. The balance between satire and heart then become perfect.

      +Lazbro Brony I love your project! It really captures the feel of the classic. If there were any flaws with it, it will probably that it's 10% lighthearted than the original and the donkey transformation of Flimonea wasn't really as scary as Lampwick's and I was disappointed not to see a different version of Monstro trying to Annabelle. I saw your drawing of Annabelle and it kind of ruin my vision of her. I pictured Pinocchio with a girl face, in a blue dress with hair of that girl from the ending of Jungle Book. Not saying it is bad, it just that it destroys what I thought of her to look like. The positives are really the highlight of the book. I really liked the fact that Pinocchio is a grown man in the story and he is one of the main characters, but not THE main character. I also love the new characters as well. Annabelle: I really love the fact that she is the girl version of Pinocchio and actually she did accomplished going to school on-screen opposed to Pinocchio. I remember the scene where Jiminy founds Pinocchio playing pool and Pinocchio didn't respond to him in a meanly way, but Annabelle, on the other hand, was a d**k to him because one of her character traits were being annoyed by being called a baby. Flimonea: I like how she was written as a daughter of Lampwick, even though she is not. I adore the references to the movie. Starting off with Annabelle's version of "I've Got No Strings". I can't believe that how she started the song is exactly what happen to Pinocchio when he did sang the song. I love how you replaced some lyrics and put some new ones in it. I can sing the lyrics with the rhythm of the original song and they FIT! Even though I didn't mind the fact that the villains(except Monstro) got away with their stuff, I really love that Pinocchio fight Stromboli and rescued his daughter from him when he was still fighting him, Honest John and Gideon went to jail, and the Coachman's brother gets killed by falling off the cliff. It's like the villains finally got what they deserved for what they did to Pinocchio.After reading your book, I really love it! It had the original's charm and feel. It actually sounds like a true sequel to Pinocchio. Pinocchio is still my favorite Disney film, beating Zootopia and Wreck It Ralph and I glad that someone made a fan-made sequel to it that captures it's charm. For being the best animated fil of all time, Pinocchio, by Rotten Tomatoes giving it a 100%, I give Lazbro Brony's fan made sequel a perfect 100%. - KJ Broadway.

      Can you explain the problem with Pinocchio's original design? I don't really know what Walt meant with "I don't see the appeal". I don't understand the problem in making him look like a puppet.

    • @nouky3980
      @nouky3980 4 роки тому +4

      @@isaywhateveriwantandyougot7421 I think you don't really attached that much to a simple puppet as you would do to a real boy. When I see some other designs of Pinocchio character from other works, I always thought that somehow the Disney version is more appealing. And that's because he looks and feel more like a real boy than a simple puppet. And also because he is way more nicer than in the original book. And if the audience doesn't attached to the main character, the whole movie is doomed.

    Walt Disney vs. Carlo Collodi, after all the original Pinocchio was disobedient, foolish, self-center and was a broking hearted marionette who hates everything that he had done and that's why he is an important character in our society, especially when our children become disrespectful on others.

    Maybe you're right man but try to see it under this perspective: Nowadays the cartoon days are over... Today is the animation era (unfortunately..)... And i'm sure you're agree that you can beat a movie like this one with animation! Althougt you make a terrific one, you CAN'T reach this kind of art with "computer cartoons!" Maybe Disney was trying to say that the OPORTUNITY to make it better it's not longer available because we are in another world now...

    Can I ask you all a question? What is the most aesthetically pleasing/beautiful animated classic Disney film? (In terms of attention to detail) Feel free to ask. Don’t be bashful.

    • @Shadywolf09
      @Shadywolf09 Рік тому +1

      I would say it's a tie with Pinocchio or The Little Mermaid.
      Pinocchio is probably top because of the amount of detail in each drawing that only spans a few seconds. The shadow work with many of the characters that was consistent, the water effects at the climax of the film and just the thought of how painstakingly detailed every single cel was throughout the film is what makes it pleasing to the eyes. You can just tell that every drawing was crafted with immense care.
      The Little Mermaid is up there for the fact that they had to make characters flow like they're underwater and that had to be challenging..but Pinocchio for the age of the film and how much work the animators put in to have it look as gorgeous as it does.

    I don't believe Pinocchio is the apex of all possible animation. I think that's just an excuse so Disney doesn't have to try to make one even better. Pinocchio is a great film, beyond all question, but I think Disney could top it, and should try to top it. It's as if they're saying "we can't do any better, so we aren't even going to try to."
