This is what I’ve been doing in my Zoraline Lifegain Deck lmao They usually sit there and realize you lose off the counters so I pay Fateful Handoff and let them lose instead 😂
I started watching your videos in 2020 when MTG Arena released. My best friend started playing and watching also, eventually becoming better than me and hitting mythic every season. He passed away in August and I’m not sure I will ever open MTG Arena again, but I wanted to stop by and watch a few games like old times.
Fun fact: you can have your arena Llanowar elves with that anime artwork for 1000 gold (or a bunch of gems too i guess), you can craft it for that amount through the deck builder for some reason! Its a cool little thing tbh. There's a few other anime styles you can craft as well, I think, but some of them are more expensive (like doubling season).
@@SpinAroundU its not as it resolves because if it was then removing the creature would fizzle the damage and that can not happen in this case. When you put the spell on the stack you choose to reveal or choose a creature in play and the spell then will have the power of the creature set, removing or changing the power after the spell is on the stack will not change that value.
Man, if you leaned just a tiny bit into Selesnya, Loran's Escape would have been absolute fire in that second game. Then again, I'm exactly the kind of person who ruins countless decks bending over backwards to beat every corner case that I lose to.
@cdawg0717 if only we still had Tamiyo's Safekeeping. I'm sure they'll print another one soon, but considering Surge of Salvation is also white, maybe it's shifted out of green's pie, which seems to be more about growing your creatures when you protect them
I will admit I thought "Omniscience, loop Atraxa, pass, that's all? No combo win, not even a hullbreaker lock?" but also it would be terrible if either of those were consistently achievable in standard. SNT in timeless is fine because the other decks are also doing bullshit stuff.
@Google-En-Passant lol no there isn't. I can only think of one way to make that happen and that's by drawing 3 dark rituals and a belcher in your opening hand. That's not consistent at all. Super cool that it could happen but I wouldn't count on winning a game by drawing 5 of my combo pieces in my opening hand. YUP called it lol that's exactly what you need at least 5 of your opening hand cards have to be either 3 dark rituals a swamp and a belcher. I also saw someone evoke grief sacrifice it then play 2 dark rituals to get a T1 belcher kill. That means your entire hand has to consist of all your combo pieces. Way too inconsistent to call that a good deck. especially considering the fact you can't really run any lands to make belcher work, so other than your combo pieces the rest of the deck is just filler cards.
I made this when omniscience was spoiled in foundations. I like your take on it! I made it all mulch, Springleaf drum elf ( Citanul Stalwart) , and Jace for OTK.
Had someone double snakeskin to protect their creature from removal and combat damage then proceed to omniscience atraxa and the 7/7 dude with 7 keywords. No cards left in hand on turn 3. Fun,...
Monstrous emergence doesn't "target" - it still deals damage even if the chosen creature on battlefield is dead. Even if it had more power than is written on the card, it does not get reduced by it dying - you don't look at the card, you look at the (imaginary) creature. However, the damage can get reduced if the creature's power decreases while still on board. so -X/-X does work against this.
This is a verrrrry fun idea that I've been planning for a bit aha my deck includes everything but red though, I feel like sometimes its gonna flop but others go crazy...if it doesn't work out I'll build this! Thanks bud!
I made some changes to this deck and it has been much more consistent. I added some blue for 4 Make Your Own Luck and 4 Step Between Worlds. Also added an immodane's so if I can make my own luck into a plotted omniscience I get to combo kill the next turn. The make your own luck and step between worlds make the deck super consistent when an Omniscience comes down and I don't have to worry as much when I want to drop a naked Koma.
when the set with kona came out i used it to just cheat out Emrakul, the World Anew, or some other scary Eldrazi. Most people would just concede as soon as it hit the board.
I just played against someone playing this combo. I thought I was kicking their butt until they got things together. Then it took like 5 minutes for them to complete their turn. They had a dozen triggers before they even tapped any mana.
Not sure if this is true, but I don't think that Monstrous Emergence cares if they remove the creature that you choose, since choosing the creature happens as part of the cost and isn't targeted. Does anyone know if that's the case?
I'm not at all disappointed I didn't catch a single spoiler for this set. Seeing most of my elves back in standard is actually making me wanna play arena again. Also, best hydra is back?
Built my wife a new deck around this turn 3 principle with omniscience and atraxa, but with more graveyard recursion, the rakdos recursion enchantment and valgovath cause you can keep slamming legenedaries that will die and they take the damage to the face as you play everything because of the rakdos and it’s hilarious
Very minor optimization, this deck should replace 4 forests with 4 hushwood verge (the white green dual land from duskmourn) Makes atraxa just a tad easier to cast if for some reason plan A combo doesnt work for literally no downside
at around the 30:00 mark, he could have declared atraxa as a blocker, then when he gains priority before damage, tap atraxa for a green with relic of legends to cast snakeskin targeting atraxa, thus trading both creatures and going to 22 life instead of 6. i think he could have won that game
I’m a new player and can craft one deck. Is this a deck that I should craft? I’m thinking about a red / aggro deck. But I also like everything but blue.
@@FalconDS9 Oh, that's a shame then... I feel like a card that gives a creature an opponent owns hexproof (or perhaps shroud?) is design space that could work.

bloodthirsty conqueror will likely end up on the standard banlist. i think it's just inevitable. yes, it can be beaten, but it's such an easy turn 4-5 win that the meta will be just conqueror decks and counter-conqueror decks.
Weird ask, I know who cares, but could you start saying Mesa Hawks, cause that sound clip you use to simulate a "falcon" is a Red-Tailed Hawk. Videos are always great and I appreciate the content. Take care!

This is what I’ve been doing in my Zoraline Lifegain Deck lmao They usually sit there and realize you lose off the counters so I pay Fateful Handoff and let them lose instead 😂

Sorry for your loss Darling. Hope this video brought back good memories to you.
Sorry to hear that my brother.. find your spark again!💪🏽💪🏽💯💯
Gonna be that guy, missed lethal for Kona content in the first game before the Fumigate. That Kona cast gave them the 1 life they needed to survive
He missed another at 9:45.
He also lost 1 damege flipping a Lyonwar elves that was 2/2
Or when he flipped a manifested Llanowar elves over, making it a 1/1 not a 2/2, then attacked all, missing lethal by 1...
I was thinking that
CGB: "You got it, and then what"
Me, to myself: "Fling? nah..."
The opponent:
Yeah, wasn't expecting Burn Together from the Boros Deck. Neither was CGB.
Cmon CGB, you had the ability to tutor up another atraxa with archmages charm next turn, why not just double block with atraxa and elf?
21:56 “ it’s the implication” had me dyinggg 😂 We love Always Sunny

Monstrous emergence can't be blown out. You choose the creature as it's cast and the damage is locked in. It's not a target creature you control.
9:34 I was coming here to say the same thing.
I was going to say this too... but then kept watching and they tell him.

They will shadow ban it anyway...
just be ready for disappointment. Every one game it does the cool thing, you lose 4 more by turn 5

What a disgusting deck.

Any thoughts on maybe invasion of ixalan to directly pull the beastie out of the deck?
Foundations standard is going to be fun 👀
Fauna shamen is a decent add to this list to make sure you can get to Kona!
