I'm 51 and a new romantic at heart, just bumped into this and purchased both albums off amazon, amazing track and my favourite, seems there is some hints of theme tunes from cult 60's TV shows and films in the mix, very immersive sounds and amazing to listen to through the headphones, he's a genius, not to mention the skill at playing all this solo, take a look at the live performance on KEXP, considering he was playing after being taken to the studios just after landing in Seattle, I hope he keeps the melodic/synth style through his career, a real pleasure to listen to and experience. Keep up the great music Bill.
I watched him perform this live when he opened the show for CHVRCHES in Sydney and my gosh, it was better live than on recording for sure! I was absolutely blown away! He's amazing live!
He was the best thing about Glastonbury, and certainly the best thing about the BBC's coverage (please GET RID of Lauren Laverne!). Can't stop listening to/humming/trying to sing this awesome track - fantastic!
Just seen him do this live on Glastonbury, I'm blown away. True genius.
