- I'm not 100% Sure on which Yamaha Clavinova Pianos keys are the same as the CVP-65 I worked on. The models I listed in the video are just ones I cross referenced with the same part numbers. (on the SYNTAUR website I had to just go with the pics when I ordered my keys because they didn't have the CVP-65 listed)

Best video that explains how to replace springs on Yamaha Clavinova. I watched them all.
This video allowed me to fix my stuck B key. Replaced it with the highest B on the keyboard. Took about an hour, took my time along with many pictures to records the steps. Highly recommend laying out your screws in order on the bench or somewhere that will not be disturbed. When replacing the little metal spring I suggest you remove the little brown strip that extends across the bottom of the keyboard. This will allow you to easily see where the spring attaches. It takes 5 minutes to remove the strip and will eliminate any frustration pushing the spring back on after replacing the key.
I had to replace a broken key on an S80. I can confirm that the keyboard on the S80 looks identical to the one here and it was very useful to watch the video before I started. I have to confess though that I was completely unable to find the clip for the spring by feel and ended up taking off the circuit board. Once I had done that it was very easy indeed to push the spring into place, and removal of the circuit board was no trouble at all - I wish I'd done that in the first place. I'd recommend to anyone else doing this for the first time just to take the circuit board off.
Yeah that's the ONLY way. The service manual dictates that and best to adhere to what it says. Lots of screws to get there but that spring is the "key"...ooh sorry. Lots of moola saved doing it yourself.
Thank you so much for your video. I needed to fix a sticky key on my Yamaha CVP-35 and this was so helpful. Now it plays like new. I am so happy.
I just did it again with a help from this video. I have watched lots of Yamaha Clavinova repair videos on UA-cam, but this one has been the most helpful in actually taking out and putting back in the keys and springs.
awesome! I now know where to get keyboard parts. I've looked all over to get a replacement black key for my P150.
Thank you very much for very good explaining and showing...
Thank you very much for the vdo, I am looking for a long time of how to take off this model to clean it inside.
I took out all keys, cleaned everything. What’s the best way to apply the silicone grease? And how do I know that I’m putting it in all the right places 😁
Thank you for this video, but I must mention that the recording device used for this, has worst focus feature than a bottle opener!
please help ,one loud key , middle A , cleaned circuit ,contact under key , clavinova 550 ? tried everything
All my keys are fine...but I can't seem to play my discs anymore....what could be the problem? Thank you,
Are the screws philips ? I'm having a hard time getting them out.
Is this all cvp model the same keybed?
The video Title mentions replacing keys for Yamaha S80. Could you please do a video for replacing both black and white keys for a Yamaha S80.
What about clunking sound after you released key
Next time, choose a more quiet room and a camera that doesn’t have focussing issues
Sorry..clear as mud
