I'm English, but 15 years ago I was living/working in LA. Late one night after a fight with my girlfriend I drove to Griffith park, parked-up and just walked, thinking about the argument. I found myself at a picnic table with a huge tree across it and graffiti all over it . As I paced about feeling a bit sorry for myself, I realized all the hairs on the back of my neck were standing up and I felt sick! I'd never felt so frightened in my life! There was a feeling of pure evil coming from the darkness in the trees! I left quickly and soon forgot about the incident! Then a year ago I saw a video on YT about Table 29 and realized that's where I was all those years ago! Maybe I got off lightly!
Wow!!
O shit!
Cool story bro
Creepy! I went to LA and visited griffith park but didn’t know about this story or picnic table..
it's crazy cause I also went to griffith with my fiance we were both madly in love, but the last day we saw each other we went to this place, not knowing the story or anything..that same night we started arguing outta nowhere and we broke up.
Just hypothetically thinking... What if it's NOT Rand and Nancy's ghost doing the haunting, but something much more sinister and evil? What if that evil that haunts that place is what took their lives for being there? Very interesting story, It has my curiosity peaked to visit there.
You could be right Tim. In one way that would make sense. The evil kills you if you mess with the tree!.
Yeah I agree
They say the dead can walk the earth on halloween for one night and that was the night they died

The fact the tree stayed there and the city of LA didn’t eff with it in itself is insane. I’m so glad history like that stayed. I hope it never gets moved.
Democrats don't do anything that doesn't benefit them. Not surprised it's still there.
Shut up, Trumpo. JFK Jr is still alive and well at Comet Pizza. Ok?
The park rangers/patrons aka the city allegedly tried to take it off but they said that the tree would start to shake and hear voices telling them to leave or they will be killed and the manager of the park rangers said fuck it and tried to take it off himself and no one ever heard from him again but idk
Makes no sense. How did they recover the bodies of the couple killed then?
@@7deadlysloths they lifted the tress up to release thier bodies
I noticed while you was talking about the story on the young lady & man, the tree branches started moving, or a breeze started causing them to move. Wowwwww!!!!! Grimmlife 4 ever.
I've lived in Cali my whole life, and I've never heard of this story!!!!! This is why I absolutely LOVE this channel! You guys are great! 💞
R.I P. Rand and Nancy 🌳👀
The Hollywood sign has its own dark tale. A woman by the name Peg Entwistle committed suicide by jumping off the sign to her death in 1932
According to ‘Hollywood Babylon’ she jumped off the 13th letter, now gone as the original sign was ‘HollywoodLand’ for a real estate development..
But she doesn't attack people for removing the sign. The signs been replaced alot but part of the original h is in a museum close by. I read she jumped from the H and thats what everyone says. She has her own story on celebrity ghost stories.
@@denebolamau6288 yep that's true
That would be interesting to check out
I heard she jumped off the letter H. When she landed she landed on her feet. Completely fracturing her pelvis. She then rolled down into a dark canyon. I can't remember exactly but I think she was conscious at least a day after that. In pain and not being able to move or no one to see her. She was a somewhat successful actress in New York city in plays. So she decided to try her luck in movies. Her and her father moved to LA. And she had some minor parts in movies. She started getting despondent. Because she didn't think she was going to do any better. So she decided to end it all. What makes this story so tragic is the very next day a letter came to her home. Saying she had been picked for the staring row of a new movie that was to be made. If she had only waited one more day. Some doctor's say she was probably still alive in the canyon when the letter came to her house. I feel bad for her. But she was young and beautiful and her whole life ahead of her. I don't understand it.
I was NOT expecting to see a tree still fallen on the picnic table. I hadn't heard of this story so thank you for this one.
RIP Rand & Nancy. Such a sad story. But at least they are together in the afterlife. BTW
Love your videos
I think I will go visit
they say when spirits remain on earth they are not in peace
It's not a true story.
You have truly found the TREE OF LIFE......If you don't mess with it.
Or... The Wisdom Tree?
I hope you guys do more of these haunted locations. This was great
Griffith Park, is beautiful but is extremely haunted! I never heard of this tragic story and I thank you for telling it!
Go to the main library get into the newspaper files of the Herald Examiner looking in the Oct 31-Nov 1-3 1976 issues and you should be able to find the story there since it was tragic. If you cant then it may be folklore because I dont remember hearing anything about this at all. I was 17 at the time too. Good luck.
I'm with the dude who was going to cut the tree down. A tree starts talking to me I'm out. That's super creepy story.
Have never heard of this legend, so wasn't expecting to see the fallen tree still there. Spooky, and fascinating story.
It's so cool to view a site like this ,it's like these two know what I like ,everything they have posted I mean everything I really enjoyI will always be a fan of you two I'm a Cherokee from Tennessee and we don't say things like this much but these two are great I can't say enough good this about them O'siyo to everyone and I hope you all will enjoy these videos Thank you Love from Tennessee Cherokee Nation Eastern Band
Cool i live in Tennessee👍
@@trock1891Awesome! where you at? I'm in Charlotte, Dickson Co.
Originally from the Smokey's
In my 50+ years of living in Socal, I've yet to visit Griffith Park....🤔😯🤫
Well, go see it!
@@StinkFingerr On my list...
I know alot of people don't believe in the supernatural but I do . I had an experience and I'm not going to going to say but it is out there
Wow. This is definitely a unusual haunted item. Yeah, people need to leave that tree alone. 💀☠😂
RIP Nancy and Rand. ➕
WOW, together forever. R.I.P Rand & Nancy💕💕
Hey there, you two are amazing! Sorry Jessica's not there this time but you two are awesome and appreciate ya'll!! That is scary AF, I think the moral of the story is "Leave that tree alone" hahaha 🌹🌹RIP Rand and Nancy🌹🌹
Thankyou for telling us l didn't no this story
Great Story Michael! Keep them Coming!
You guys should do a trip to Palmdale and Lancaster to do a video on the filming locations of House of a Thousand Corpses, Devil's Rejects, Kill Bill and Rubber. Definitely need to mention Rubber as it's a great movie and doesn't get much love. Those locations are all very near each. Afterwards head over to The Rock Inn in Lake Hughes for some dinner, it's a beautiful place with tons of history.
The Rock Inn has great food there… Also the Wolf Sanctuary in Lake Hughes. Beautiful experience there
I just had another thought... If I got a "WARNING" from whatever haunts the area, I'd give that ghost a warning back... If I die, you'll only be bringing me over to the spirit world and when I get there, I'm going to kick the crap out of the ghost that killed me. ;)
Never thought of it that way. But it's true.👻👻👻
That table and tree are incredibly good shape to be 45 years old.
It's the spirit of Rand and Nancy keeping it in good shape
I was wondering why the tree hasn’t rotted away after so many years.
Right lol
The tree is not dead. It fell over but the base of the tree and roots are still under the ground. Still clinging to life
Love your vids!!!!
Thank you Darlene
There's actually a woman in white ghost that has been seen around the Hollywood sign.
The woman in white was called Peg Entwistle
@@wk4max that's right she was a actress .
She committed suicide by jumping from the "H" in 1932. She was the stepmother of actor Brian Keith who killed himself in 1997.
@@Pats4vr No problem, I wish it was better news though.
The Hollywood sign into ghost her name was
Peg Entwistle she was an actress she died on September 16th 1932 by jumping off the H of the Hollywood sign
It is so surreal, with no people around, it feels like a episode of the Twilight Zone. I wanted to add that the tree branch that was above you when you were sitting down at the table was the only thing moving--no leaves or your hair blowing in the wind, just that branch. Rand and Nancy want to say hi.
That was very noticeable…. Eerie…
If you look closely, the grass below is also moving a bit.
My mom lived in Hollywood and me and my sister frequently went to Griffith park. Never knew this story. Thanks for sharing!
TOP JOB 12 mins and 40 seconds of top notch Entertainment Great vid and great channel.
I went there before. A ghost stole my sandwich
I'm from a small town in Az & we had a haunted picnic table in a park by a school, they removed it due to Covid
Which school in az and park
Thank you for taking us along, I'd never heard about the tragedy and history of it. Really eerie to see the tree there.
Be careful because people go missing in that area.
That being said, the Hollywood sign is VERY haunted and has a woman in white there.
During the 70's the sign was falling apart. Really destroyed. Hugh Hefner was instrumental in bringing it back. He bought the H!
@@Pats4vr is there any footage of her anybody filmed therr?
Also the Griffith observatory is where they filmed the sequence where The Terminator came to 1984.
Love this! I love that you always manage to find the lesser known spots to show us! This may seem kinda random but the star tattoo on the side of your neck reminds me of the Hamilton logo.... again I know its random but I just wanted to say. As always, stay safe and keep giving us the cool content!
I hadn’t heard this legend before. Wow, what are the odds that tree would fall right on them?!!
Pretty crazy stories surrounding the tree also. Hard to believe not one person since then has taken care of that tree but there it is...
Cool video.
Used to live behind the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood off of Orchid Ave and would always go to Griffith Park. Never even knew about this haunted picnic table, let alone the film history in the city… or at least wasn’t interested at the time. Definitely regretting it. Love the channel man.
No! Why did you show the toon getting dipped??? I’m scarred for life since seeing that as a kid!
Interesting story. Something that doesn't make sense though is, how is the tree still there if it fell on the couple? Wouldn't they have removed the tree to get them out? 🤫
I was about six months old that night. 4-12-1976. In Memphis where the King E.P. Was until of course Aug 16, 1977 he was gone.
Cool! A new video! I am doing my happy dance!
Another well done video. Thumbs up. I've heard of that picnic table. I've never seen it personally. But that was so sad how those two people died and how their spirits still haunt that area. May they rest in peace
Super creepy! Another first rate adventure, Michael. Thank you. Did you know..the BTTF and Roger Rabbit tunnel was also used in War Games with Matthew Broderick?
I think we all agree when I say an evp session there would be pretty darn cool! Great idea. Thanks for the video ❤️
Many times ive hiked up there alone, and its beautiful and fantastic!
This is why we all love your channel so much! As much as I like to think Im up on my weird stuff, Ive never heard of this before!
(I know Griffith Park is big, but somewhere in there is where a young Micheal Myers killed the bully kid in Rob Zombies remake of Halloween.)
I've heard the stories about the sign being haunted😜😃
yes, by the late actress peg entwistle whom jumped from the letter H I believe.
yes, by the late actress peg entwistle whom jumped from the letter H I believe.
@@mel333rose that's sounds about right, she was beautiful so tragic
This is my first time. Hearing about the ghost story. Kind of reminds me of Bunny man bridge. In Clifton Virginia. I think the world of you two Baby Ghoul and Michael.
They’ve also found a severed head in Griffith park about 10yrs ago
The tunnel was also used in an episode of charmed
One time at Griffith Park a deer ran into me ! Fortunately , we were both relatively unscathed.
I hate when that happens. Just minding my own business and a deer mows me over. But I guess it's better than a moose, elephant or Bigfoot.
Wow interesting story. It’s amazing the timing of how that happened. Thanks for the video!
You’re a monster for showing the shoe getting dipped! :)
Crazy when that was drawn into the pick eck table I was 3 years old
First I've heard of the dark history of the park...thanx!!🌊🧜♀️🎃❤🌙🌛
Very interesting and a unique spooky story! I had never heard of this story before! Loved it!
RAND N NANCY RIP , MAY THE PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON THEM 🙏😥💔
Brilliant video and very respectful.
I had a tree fall right in front me at Ft. Benning, Georgia years ago. Craziest thing ever. When it’s the middle of the night and your doing training exercises with the army you really don’t expect trees to fall right in front of you
That tree 🌲 😂 Oh gord what bollocks. Love the videos.
Live it all over and over all my life and beautiful and when ypu come up to los Feliz into Griffith park picnic area hunted too see it
What a story!!! Never heard this until today.....and I've lived here my entire life!
Come here at night, then call there names and watch the magic.🌳👻💛👻🌲
I'm not convinced that tree could kill two people but it's definitely waving at you
This is one of the most unique ghost stories I've heard and there you are sitting at the table! Love your videos!
What a cool (but creepy) story..
and the fact that bench and tree have been sitting like that all these years (since I was 1 year old!) is amazing.
You did a great job on this sad story. Yes it's all unfortunately true. RIP Rand & Nancy😓💕🙏🏼 I'm a local Been going to Griffith Park for years. Lots of haunted stories there. But so Happy You & Jessica moved out here! No matter what anyone says it is Beautiful out here! Be Safe and Enjoy! 😃💯👻
THAT PUT CHILLS UP AND DOWN MY SPINE THAT'S SCRERY
RIP Rand & Nancy 10/31/1976.
I'm a California native ( not hears of picnic table #29) and im fascinated by all ghost stories!!
Thank you for another amazing video 🦇🖤🦇Happy Halloween !!
Looks like you guys are enjoying Cali!! Another great video! 🖤 Tell Jessica we missed her!
Well, I've gone down a rabbit hole with all of your videos the past week - love the channel.... This video is one of the coolest. I come to LA often for the past 5 years, but now I have things to go see because of you. Thanks!
Damn bro, I am not sitting on that bench period. Some bad juju might stick on my clothes and I'll end up bringing that sht home🤣
So eerie the tree across the picnic tabke!!
I like to hike Griffith late at night where you truly are the only person hiking in the park. Thanks for the videos!
🌹Rand and Nancy🌹 (1976) R.I.P.
Right in the spot where you zoomed in on the Hollywood sign, there is the turn from the movie “Mulholland Drive”, where Mr. Eddy crashes his Mercedes and shoves the bully off the street to teach him a lesson. It’s right there! ;)
That was a cool creepy little story 😬 great video!!
Everytime I see the Hollywood sign it reminds me of Peg entwistle, like that must've been a really bad fall 😕
That bench across from the Hollywood sign is in a episode of Seinfeld with Jerry George and Kramer eating a egg salad sandwich
Cool bro! Never knew about this. Live in Portland now. Maybe someday I’ll check it out!
Hi Jessica & Michael,
i know most places are haunted around the world I`ve done Paranormal Researching for over 35 yrs & best to keep a open mind with common sense yeah i`m old school lol, but if this tree fell onto a couple wouldn`t they need to move the tree to remove the couples body`s ? because there`s no information about Rand & Nancy any where on the Internet unless there's information at a local library in LA I don`t know but anyway always enjoy your video`s always very interesting keep up the great work you guy`s
wonder how they removed the bodies with out moving the tree
Thought same thing
It’s probably not a true story.
If it wasn't true, I think they would have everything cleaned up by now
That’s crazy, I don’t think I’ve ever heard this story before! I wish the internet was a bigger source of information when I lived there. I’d totally go see all these spooky places!
Hollywood wanna-be starlette Peg Entwistle committed suicide in 1937 by jumping off the Hollywood sign, back in the 1930's the sign read Hollywoodland. She climbed to the 13th letter "D", and jumped, the only gig she ever had acting was a small part in the 30's movie "Thirteen Women". She started a frightening trend, and many others have followed her lead of shattered dreams by jumping off that sign through the years. Yes, there are ghosts in those-there hills ,my friend. I love L.A., I was raised there (since 1963), and left in 1985, I still miss it. Great video, man. Bob. G
Unlucky 13 must be true.
First of all Peg was a well known actor of stage productions back in New York. After shortly moving to Hollywood & not being successful, she climbed up the letter H & fell to her death. If only she would have waited a day, because a letter was received right after her death that a studio was offering her a contract.
Great video…you are my favorite UA-camr…you definitely do great research on your videos👏👏I’ve definitely subscribing …nice job👍🏿👍🏿
You mean when the terrain is always changing you must mean before and after the constant fires😅😅😂
it happened in trinni belloods park Toronto a few years ago, a friend of mine watched it, huge branch fell off a tree a couple were sitting under, the boy friend pushed her out of the way and he was killed, so tragic..
Yessss. I love this. Thank u for doing a video on this
Me in there last month in midnight and me hear singing women
Never use or run towards the chainsaws😄
My favorite ghouls always have the greatest topics! Love you guys!! 😊 That is just downright scary! So isolated and freaky!!!
Isn't this the Back to the Future tunnel as well. Where Biff gets cow manure dumped in his car, could be wrong but it sure looks like it
Keep it going guys ! Great Video. Any chance on doing Location's for the 1975 film Earthquake ?
I can’t believe u sat on the table. 😱 Creepy!!
I used to skate through that tunnel all the time and I never knew that that’s where they filmed back to the future 😭 I feel very ripped off
You know this story is true, as the city of LA would not let that mess stay there.
How'd they remove the bodies without removing the tree?
@@MajesticalHonky I think they picked up the tree branch and moved the bodies and placed it back. There was a old photo on the internet of when the guy with the chain saw died - the tree was still in this same place.
@@itstheweather642 I really doubt that they picked up the tree branch to move the bodies and then put it right back. I think this is a case of people believing what they want to believe.
@@MajesticalHonky I wish I could find that original picture (or take a screen shot) again of the boss lying on the ground in front of the table with the chain saw blade bent into a U at his feet.
@@itstheweather642 I doubt it even exists. I read the same description of how they found the "boss" when I researched this and found that it's an urban legend and absolute BS. I believe in the paranormal but it's crap like this that is why it's not taken seriously by a lot of people.
Wow very interesting story born and raised in Ca and never heard the story before. Love you guys you are part of my family watch every video and tell everyone.
sad they died.
love your vlogs.
Wow. You're a great storyteller! Got me wanting to visit a park bench and fallen tree lol!
If the story is true, all I can say is...
Dang, their families were messed up for spreading their ashes where they died.
Very tragic. 😥
I remember going to the Griffith Park Zoo, before they built the LA Zoo.
I used to Drive up their in 80s. The Air has this Funky Old Wood Scent...pleasant but creepy.
