Waiting over a year for mag pouches? Never again. No matter what products they make, I'll never give them another cent.
After waiting five months (and now notified of continued of being delayed), I’m ready to call this company TRASH!!
Same here ! What a trash company
Seven months here can confirm it's trash, no wonder they don't have the ability to leave reviews on their FB page.
Here after my July 2023 order never got fulfilled and Chris, the owner, ghosted his customers with no customer service or update on order status. We’re into April 2024! Don’t give him no fucking business.
Same happened to me. Ordered in June of 2023 and still nothing. I guess they have been so busy with the move and fulfilling orders of Military and LEO's the rest have just donated financially.
Maybe the owners are democrats and they don’t want you to have this stuff I wonder about some of these companies
Just an airsofter here, I fixed the up down problem you mention with the pistol pouch with a ziptie, I could pass a ziptie arount the fixer and a hole on the pouch but if you can't just drill a hole on the fixer in the correct hight you want it on your belt and zip tie it. Great review, I think your channel is underated
The magazine sounds like it is fantastic, but sadly, the company's service isn't up to par. It's been 4-5 months since I ordered the magazine, yet it still hasn't been shipped. I've reached out via email but haven't received any response. This extended delay makes the product doesn't seem to be worthwhile to purchase. Be forewarned.
Nice job once again Walsh... thanks for sharing.
I am stoked about mine coming in
Another great vid. Thanks 🙏🏻
Excellent review thanks
I had to walk the side of an interstate for 30 minutes looking for a magazine because of an HSGI pouch. I think I’ll give these a look.
Been watching the reviews for a few months now, I had no clue you were Nebraska. Local Nebraska Officer here. I recently switched my duty belt to the Defensive Mechanisms battle belt because of your thorough review.
well what's up! Hit me up on our email. ThinLineDefenseCo@gmail.com
@@ThinLineDefenseCo I sent an email and never heard back from y'all.
Great looking pouches
After watching this video September of 23 i ordered a pair of pistol mag pouches, a rifle pouch, and a lens cleaner keychain. It is April of 24 and i have yet to receive my products, i have emailed and messaged on Facebook, been told that "your order will be out this upcoming monday" for nothing and my check up to be ignored. At this point no matter how well they perform i do not recommend giving this company your money, the HRT mag pouches perform great and i got them at most two weeks after ordering even though the rifle pouch was on backorder.
Thanks for the video just bought some
Have you received them yet?
I purchased a few of these pouches in June of 2023 to check them out. It's now January 2024 and they haven't shipped. I've been told twice they'll "be shipped soon". At this point I just want to see how long it takes.
Initially had a 6-week lead time when I ordered. I don't care how nice these are, I won't be ordering anything else from this company.
shoot me an email and I'll see if we can get things fixed up. GHTG struggled with some personnel but I know he'd want to make it right for you.
-Walsh
@@ThinLineDefenseCoA content creator shouldn't have to reach out for customers to get there products. I would refrain from promoting this company until they can actually produce the products they are advertising.
I dont think I seen it in this review, but how does it attach to the belt? Is there material built in to weave it through my belt or is there something I need to buy separate?
I would love to see a comparison between the Grim Hunter and the Agilite Pincer mag pouches. They both fit a similar niche. Plus with the Agilite it has 1/2 in MOLLE adjustment on the back for better attachment to battle belts.
I'd certainly not fight you on the agilite either. It's just rigid at the opening but it is a nice hybrid. The only con is odd sized mags have a problem.
-Walsh
Going old school with woodland cammo for sure.
Thanks for the info.
howd you mount the HRT rifle mag pouch to the tek-lok?
I own a small holster company in Kentucky, I’d still order these over making em!! Lol
Looking lean man, looks like someone’s been hittin the gym!
How would I be able to horizontally mount these on my battle belt?
Hey, will an AR-10 mag fit in the GHTG pouch?
Ooh, looks like I may finally have something worth replacing my kywis with
Another great review walsh, I would love to see your review on the Arbor Arms Magnet Assisted Retention System (M.A.R.S.) Pistol Pouch, I wonder if those magnets is actually useful or just a gimmick
Interesting, I'll have to try em. The arbor arms stuff is usually pretty amazing.,
-Walsh
Thanks again
Very nice. But 8 to 12 weeks or more wait time? Would like to purchase but that is to long of wait time for me if paying upfront. Thanks for showing
He's just a regular dude making gear by hand, but I hear you. I'll tell him to hurry his ass up haha
-Walsh
Seems like an evolution on the defense mech pouches. Question is, how long does the grippy insides last?
I'm at 500 licks and its still going strong.
-Walsh
Have you reached the center of the tootsie pop yet
I have 4 of those g code pistol mag pouches, I absolutely hate them, they constantly move and the hard ass sides dig into you like IT HATES YOU!
Walsh, Thank you so much for your offer for the LEOs in your are. That is a great gesture on your part. That's awesome... Unfortunately I don't live anywhere close to you plus I RETIRED (not unfortunately) from Law Enforcement 4yrs ago after 31yrs of service. For you and your great team keep up all the great content. GOD BLESS! BE SAFE! 🤙🙏🇺🇲
Enjoy your pension...31 years; you've most definitely earned it 👍.
Im gunna get them in MAS grey!
I'm getting the woodlaaaand! Dang Walsh! How am I gonna follow that?
Would like to know if these mag holders keep magazines close to body , I have a problem of these type of holder slating outward hanging off the belt
They do...but I'd tell you it's more the connection system and not the pouch. Look for the HRT tegris adapters. You'd probably need tools as it's super stiff but it makes for a great connection. I have the angled adapters and they're like 7 bucks....which is amazing.
-Walsh
Oh man, sorry to hear you live in Nebraska 😂
U should review agilite's pincer pistol and rifle mag pouches.
this one? ua-cam.com/video/X4ad2-mTceg/v-deo.html
I've never really liked the High Speed Gear pouches except the polymer bodied ones. Have you reviewed any of the HSP pouches? I'm curious about those.
I haven't reviewed them but I have them. it's like the awkward younger brother of esstac. Not as good but tries really hard to not be horrible
-Walsh
@Thin Line Defense Co Thanks for the reply. You'd think it be easy to find that perfect niche with pouches. We are ever evolving like DBZ characters.
I'm feeling that SSJ4 my dude....
Just ordered the multicam arid .. after watching this video for the porch time lol… Which is saying something, because I already have a set of HRT mag pouches and Esstac pouches... I love gear what can I say ... sucks they have a few month wait time but I don't mind waiting for quality at a good price
Fourth time .. not porch time .. but I'm not retyping that whole thing
Damn, I was hoping for some porch time lol HRT, GHTG, Esstac. You got all the kings assembling!
-Walsh
Which belt is that? And where did you get the glove holders?
It looks like a Defense Mechanisms Mech belt. Not sure about the glove hanger though.
- Jason
Bought them but how do you mount the pouches horizontally and angled like you have them?
A bunch of folks make adapters. I believe Walsh is using the HRT tegris adapters. Discount code should be TLDCO if you go that route.
- Jason
How can I mount a horizontal rifle mag pouch on a GBRS belt?
Step 1.... get a better belt haha okay kidding. I use the guardian warrior adapters and a teklok
-Walsh
Is that a shot timer attached to your setup. If so what brand is it and who makes it?
Yea! it's actually a new one just released by MDT
-Walsh
I run 20 round Stocatto mags and they fall out of every pouch of purchased thus far …. So these pouches retain the mags while running ?
yea I've had no issues. You could add bungee retention if you really wanted to make sure they stick though.
-Walsh
Have you seen the FrogPro Hawk Plate Carrier?! It's a load-bearing plate carrier.
How's the comfort, how's the feel, weight, features, can you load it up, is it comparable to the other load bearers (K19 and LBAC)?
You mentioned tegris shoulder pads in your LBAC video. The Hawk has add-on comfort shoulder pads. Is that what you were looking for?
I havn't seen that one. Do they operate in the states? I see their prices in euro but don't know how that translates over.
-Walsh
@@ThinLineDefenseCo No, they are Italian. Hopefully, the price drops because it was just released a couple of weeks ago. Though, they do market as a premium brand. 736.89 Euros is an odd price that comes out to 790.28 USD right now
I saw Pro and Hawk and immediately my mind went to Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and couldn't figure out why a skateboarder or a video game would be involved with a plate carrier
@@ThinLineDefenseCo I'm looking to use the Hawk plate bags and comfort shoulder pads w/ the Shaw Concepts Arc V2 Cummerbund. I want to see if I can get the Tiktac QDs on their so I can do a straight pullaway and maybe get a tegris support band like on the LBAC, which would run into the HAWK. Since you can pull straight out the LBAC tegris cummerbund wouldn't be as awkward to release. If possible I want to make a sliding system where such cummerbund is free to slde in and out of a slit (preferably on the rear plate) and use a hybrid PALS webbing to allow the security of an elastic cummerband pulling the bags close with the rigid anti-sag of the tegris. The LBAC seems to accomplish this, but the separate spacers on the rear bag keep it so far from your back that it's bulky, keeps the plate further from the COG and exposes you to shots slipping underneath. God forbid I try to run a pack on top of it and opt for the LAPG thick plates. What do you think of this solution?
I just saw your video on the K-Zero mentioning the Warfighter Cummerbund. I saw the warfighter on their website before, but I didn't notice it had elastic! That looks like the closest cummerbund to my solution. Throwing that on the Hawk plate bags with Tiktacs might be 90% of what I want. Though, it also doesn't have the webbing overlapping the buckles like the Arc V2 Cummerbund does. I can live with that, especially for the price. The extremely minimalist cutout block PALS webbing also looks similar to the HAWK PALS style, so that would work well.
790??? Good lord. that's a pass from me. That's dumb. Shaw concepts is a stretch at 500
Okay, I will admit, I was a major fan of the HSGI pouches since those pouches will take ANY magazine basically. But, I also like to keep an eye on better gear, especially in better color choices. The pistol mags look fantastic. My only question is, for the rifle pouches, will they take AK/AR10/G3 mags decent enough? I have a feeling they do, but would just like to make sure before going to them.
ar10s are SNUGG but they fit. I didn't try AK though. If it's a bit smaller than the AR-10 it'll be fine.
@@ThinLineDefenseCo Cool, thanks! Emdom and Ronin Tactical seem to have something like these, but without the awesome color choices. Definitely going to check these out!
why would you lose it just from having dirt on it? I'm not following why you'd fail around as soon you hit the ground
I saw that atacs belt, what companies would you recommend for atacs fg gear?
Beez combat systems
i see you have them mounted at a angle. i don't see an angled option their website. how are they mounted?
I use the angled adapters from HRT tactical gear. Super cheap and make for a rigid connection. PLus TLDco discount code always saves you a bit!
-Walsh
@@ThinLineDefenseCo thank you sir!
Walsh is out here dogging on the HSGI Taco, but he's missing or has left out one very important factor. Aside from the fact that I've run HSGI double rifle tacos for years and not had issues getting magazines into them. You shouldn't need to reindex your magazines to your mag pouch and reinsert mags into them in a competitive or combat environment.
When the magazine leaves the gun it's going on the ground, or in a dump pouch (situation dependent).
When the magazine leaves the mag pouch it's going in the gun. Ok. Ok. Some guys may cycle mags from one location to another. But again, you're not going to do that in the middle of a match or while actively exchanging rounds with someone.
Not to mention, the HSGI Taco rifle mag pouches accommodate M4, AK, and AR10 magazines. There aren't very many of those out there. Fewer yet that are double rifle mag pouches.
well the only thing worse than having an HSGI pouch is having an empty one.
The stupid thing literally jabs you and every opportunity while being the biggest bag of garbage possible.
I'd rather use a trash bag to hold mags
-Walsh
I'm with you. Been running hsgi tacos since Iraq with no issues. I'm not a competitor so I don't reindex. They go into a dump pouch or ground. But I'm just a gwat boomer I guess...
Why didn’t you show how they install on the belt. Ty
apologies as I just used the HRT tegris inserts or one wrap. Would having an HRT install video help?
-Walsh
Check out the Agilite pincer mag pouch
Got those! They're very nice also. They're in the hard style pouch though as you sometimes run into size problems. But they're great and I love the Agilite guys

Kryptek Highlander, and if they have it Pencott Badlands, Sandstorm and Snowdrift.
what do you think of the new Spiritus pistol pouches?
They're below average and kinda run of the mill...you can do much better.
@@ThinLineDefenseCo is the ARC 30 compatible with the Ronin Senshi belt?

Chris seems like a nice guy, but way over his head. Emailed him a little bit about a color not available, which I appreciated, and haven’t heard back since the 5th. It sucks for those who are waiting nearly a year for product. The product can be a slam dunk, but if customers, especially LEOs or military, are waiting months to a year to get orders fulfilled, then it’s no better than your average garbage pouch. Hope Chris can figure it out because it looks like a great product, but I’ll likely stick with my Kywis
What!??! You’re in Nebraska!?? I feel like I need you to lay everything on a table and I can test what you have before buying 🤦🏻♂️

It blows my mind that the kydex dudes are getting away with MONTHS of lead... back in 2018 when I stopped making gear. You were shunned if you had more than a week to ship... now you can have 8 months lead and everyone is okay with it

Just sent you the info.
I think Shaw and t3 and a few others are using that elastic with Tegris and rubberized internal material too like this as a well as a few other manufacturers. Having said that all the tactical nylon companies even the big ones like Crye and spiritus are just Insane with tons of stuff always out of stock and wait times of two, three or even four months for non custom and six to eight months for custom. Those ouches are very affordable though and look good!
T3 maybe but Shaw does not. I just got some in and they're the same floppy mehhh as Axl and the others.

I'm just not willing to pay all the money up front with just a promise, no matter how good the product is. I have purchased products that aren't billed until they ship....that's a little different. The website even says NO REFUNDS OR CANCELLATIONS. Seems like the customer is asked to take ALL the risk from a business that is an unknown. Maybe close orders until there's some stock to ship then allow orders until that stock is gone. I know the site says all items made to order but they've got to know enough about the customer base to make stuff that will sell so they're not stuck with it. Just my 2 cents.
I would not buy from them. Chris/GHT hasn’t shown to be responsive enough to orders/customer service to warrant the business.
