Dude, excellent video! I was fighting this thing and knew it had to be a better way and I was totally wrong. Very good instructions nice and clear on the video. Good job.
Little hack I learned today with these and just messing with my belt. I’ve always hated how high the pouch sits in my bison belt. I undid the malice clips and re inserted starting the same way. Went through the top molle row of the belt and instead of coming inside to the middle row of molle on pouch I skipped it and sent it through the bottom row of molle on belt and then bottom row of pouch and inserted into tab. It is 95 percent as secure due to the height of the interface and it sits flush with the top so ar mags and mag extensions on pistols doesn’t ride into your side when leaving or get in way of carrier.
@@TheWarriorSolution yeah my buddy get those on the low side of the belt from the clips I’ll probably tell him to get one wrap pouches to mitigate that
On the 5.11 belt, since it's a low profile belt, I like to go through the top loop and middle then back through the kywi. Not going through the bottom of the belt allows the top of the kywi to be flush with the belt.
if you skip the first two loops on the pals side and then go through the last before securing the clip, the pouch rides tight and its easier to assemble. 2 pals loops are the exact width of the belt.
I ordered the 2+2 combo Kywi pouches without the gap, because it said in Esstacs website that the gap won't line up with Molle (blue alpha battle belt lite) . Now I'm wondering if I should have gotten the gapped 2+2. I run an M&P with floyds baseplates.
The gapped version works great as long as you use Velcro-One-Wrap. The spacing of the MOLLE doesn't matter in that case. I run an M&P too, and the gapped version is perfect for those longer baseplates.
The gap doubles fit on a molle belt? It says on their website it doesnt. If i order WTF straps it will work? Id really like to use the gapped design. I'm trying to set up a BB for my beretta 92 that can double as a half ass USPSA rig and i have no idea what will or wont work.
I would highly recommend going with one wrap Velcro on a battle belt over MALICE clips or WTF straps. There's no need to worry about MOLLE spacing, you can position the pouch exactly where you want it. They hold the pouch much more securely on your your belt vs the other options. All that being said, if you still prefer going with a different option, WTF straps should work since they are more forgiving with weird spacing than MALICE clips are. If you order from my website, just leave a note when you checkout and I'll throw a set of WTF straps and one wraps in there for you.
@TheWarriorSolution thanks for responding. (A lot of pages wont) I already ordered the one wraps direct from esstac yesterday morning. I'm going to check out your site though for future purchases, gonna check it out today. Again thanks!
They are a little easier to thread through MOLLE than the nylon versions, but they aren't earth shatteringly amazing. If you have a pouch or something that has MOLLE webbing but no straps, these are good options. I wouldn't bother cutting off existing nylon straps to use these.
The method shown in the video is applicable to any battle belt or MOLLE system. The CHLK belt works the same way, it just looks different because of the design. The slot system is made to the same specs as MOLLE, so you can use any standard attachment system you prefer. For battle belts, I prefer velcro one wrap. MALICE clips tend to stick out under the belt and create hotspots over time if you move around a lot.
The short answer is yes. But technically, no molle pouch will line up with battle belt loops perfectly. The reason is that the belts use half in inch webbing, instead of the normal 1 inch for standard molle. You're better off using Velcro One-Wrap since it doesn't rely on the loops at all, and you can easily place the pouch exactly where you want it without having to weave molly loops all day. Esstac pouches are all made using standard 1 inch gaps between the molle slots, so they will work on plate carriers, bags, chest rigs, etc.
I would highly recommend Velcro one wrap. Super solid, you can position the pouches exactly where you want them, and they hold the pouch much more securely to your belt than other options. They are also the easiest to use, which means instead of spending a couple hours setting up your belt, you can knock it out in a few minutes and get on to shooting.
The difference is the webbing on the back. Esstac is transitioning from 1" nylon, which is just like any other MOLLE pouch, to Brookwood Laminate Squadron laser cut PALS backers. The difference is the laser cut is thinner, lighter, and stronger than traditional 1" nylon webbing. I have a few of the laser-cut versions in stock in a couple different styles if you're looking for one. I need to double-check my inventory to see exactly what's available at the moment.
True story. Next time you need to mess with it, try flipping it inside out and buckling it. That forces all the webbing to open up so it's much easier.
They use a V shaped end that clicks into place when you push it into itself. They are removeable and reusable, but you'll need a flathead screwdriver or similar tool to pry that wedge open enough to get them off. It's possible they could come undone during hard use, but I've never seen it, and even if they did, the pouch would still be very securely attached. The actual stitching and nylon would break before the MALICE clip failed.
good demostration but had to put the video to 0.5 the speed, remember you are not a magician, you are demostrating for someone to learn out of an room enviroment,go slower with the correct directions up and down
Great video really helped, I’ve got a esstac triple tall 556 do I need to use a malice clip in ea. Slot which is 6 or can I get by with using 4 one at ea. End and 2 in the middle pouch?? Thanks for the help
You don't have to use a MALICE clip in each slot unless you really want to. The tall triple 5.56 pouches come with four clips from Esstac and my site as well, so four is perfect.
This video helped me realize my malice clips were backwards for 2 years. Thank you.
Your video allowed me to see why esstac kywis are so highly rated.
Video starts at 08:04. You guys are welcome.
Thanks for this. My fingers and hands have been hurting trying to get the Malice clips in.
Excellent demonstration. Seems simple but until you see it done correctly there’s a good chance it’s installed incorrectly.
Yep, exactly!
The orange plastic panel pry sticks from Harbor Freight works well with molle.

Nice! I've never been a huge fan of MALICE clips on belts because of the hotspots they tend to give me.

you could have explained that a millon times without me every getting it right. The video makes it so easy peasy
!
Yeah, they aren't super easy to figure out if you haven't done it before. I'm glad I could help out. :)
Awesome demonstration!
Thank you!
Great demonstration bro.
Glad you liked it!
Finally! Needed to see this lol Thank you
Great! Thanks for the feedback!
What pliers or multi tool are you using in the video?
the only video needed
You should do a review on the new hrt arc belt. Love the content!
Don't know how comfortable I would feel with the security of my mags and them not going anywhere

Hey I got mine installed but the clips don't lock in place. Any helpful tips?
Great vid!!!!
Thanks, I appreciate it!
Great review and great video thanks
someone should check on this guy if he's okay.
How to take the clip off the mag pouch if it already attach to the pouch and not separate
Thank you

Are these clips better than the traditional molle webbing straps?

@@TheWarriorSolution awesome thank you so much !
Wow!!! thanks for the information 🙋🏾
No problem!!
flipping the belt around? Look at the brain on you!
Do you have a method for attaching to a CHLK belt? TIA

what mounting solution should i use if i have the esstac belt

Are these the laminate pouches? Any one know the difference between the laminate and regular? Thanks

Ronin Belts are awesome once set up but.. they are a bear to install pouches into them!
True story. Next time you need to mess with it, try flipping it inside out and buckling it. That forces all the webbing to open up so it's much easier.
Do the malice clips not come undone ?
They use a V shaped end that clicks into place when you push it into itself. Why does it seem like my malice clips are to short
They will be pretty tight once you weave them through all the webbing, but that's by design so your pouch doesn't go flopping all over the place.
How can we reach you direct to send you gear?
Shoot me an email and we will work it out. info@thewarriorsolution.com
Well let’s all admit we went into this thinking… tactical zip tie. Once I found out you insert it totally different from a zip tie.. fml right
Yeah, I'm not a big fan of MALICE clips, tbh. Check out Velcro one wrap or WTFix straps instead.
You're smart
brother-how is it going?, Wow.excellent -goodbye!, ;))
Velcro one wrap is terrible for longevity
Looks painful
Yep, that's why I use Velcro One-Wrap for all my belts. MALICE clips are not the best option for belts, by far.
How to assemble clip. Throw away and buy one that attaches to the molle of the battle belt. Problem solved.
When you keep changing the orientation of the belt and malice makes it hard to follow

You talk really slow.
