Bold move by Hickman, I mean, Maker. Just about everyone agrees that, out all the Ultimate stuff, the one series that was consistently good was Spider-Man. The foundation by which that universe was built upon. And Maker’s like “Nah. Now it’s gonna be my story.”

It's going to be hard to imagine a universe without a version of Spider-Man so many characters are linked to him. Let's be truthful he's the heart of Marvel. Like what's going to happen with Venom, Rhino, Shocker, Carnage, Scorpion, Doctor Octopus and Jameson. I want to see what they come up with. Let's see if the Thinker actually stops a version of Spider-Man from existing in that universe and sees how much of a dramatic change the Ultimate universe.

I feel like Reed Richards, with all of his multiversal knowledge, not putting mulitversal security measures in the Baxter building is a huge oversight.
This is giving me that Hickman feeling already.

Caped Joel said this isn’t in fact 1610, this is a different universe that resembles the ultimate universe in a lot of ways (he gave the official designation in his video) and that what Reed is basically doing is shaping this reality to his own whims, he’s not back in 1610, I’m pretty sure it’s still destroyed. In Ultimate, Peter was at the science exhibit with more than just Liz, (he never even talked to her) he was there with his whole class and was talking with Mary Jane. And the Spider absolutely didn’t look like it did here. We will see going forward, but it clearly looks like the Maker is trying to “make” his own Ultimate universe, rather than go back to the one he’s from, which doesn’t seem to exist.

You're right about this probably being a different Earth, wrong about Earth 1610 being destroyed. Did nobody read Spider-Men 2 (2017)? The 1610 universe was reborn after the original 616 Universe Miles Morales crossed over to it, and we saw in the epilogue that Peter came out of retirement in the absence of 1610 Miles and is the leader of the New Ultimates team.

Earth-1610 was not destroyed, its still existing. This different earth is called Earth-6160, which is pretty similar to Earth-1610, except with The Maker tweaking/shaping the universe.
The maker is truly evil preventing my favorite version of Peter from becoming Spider-Man.
Edit: nvm it looks like 6160 is the universe number not Ultimates 1610 (my favorite) or 616 (OG)?

It's like you're over at your friend's house and his 8 year old brother, who's a little touched in the head, is excitedly telling you about the new story he made up with his action figures. You don't understand some of it, but the enthusiasm carries you along.

Miles doesn’t have a reason to return to 1610 at all and he’s made 616 his home and has a lot more going for him there at the moment.
I believe that Reed is going to make the Ultimates invade the Marvel universe and wreck havoc under a lie. But we’ll see what happens.

Maker is gonna end up being in the spot to recreate 1610 and he's gonna monolouge about how Reed showed him mercy, but Maker won't make that mistake and we're gonna lose Reed for a minute.
Couldn't Reed just... he actually destroy the bridge, but then he remakes it, so when he is confronted by Susan where she is all like, "I told you to destroy that!" Reed can just respond with, "I did. And then I rebuilt it."

Because a lot of fans, myself included, think he's a dull, uninteresting character. He has 2 or 3 traits in lieu of a personality: he's really powerful, and he's generally mute. (And he's a king. Or dictator. )I liked him best in Paul Jenkins and Jae Lee's run of Inhumans, but yeah, I think a lot of Marvel fans would rank him pretty low on their lists of favorite characters.( The Illuminati should replace Black Bolt with Doom.)

Any bets on who dies in this event? Because someone dies in every event. My guess? It will be Miles Morales. I think he’ll use that change your mind token the Maker gave him as a way to get in with the Maker and then blow up his operation from the inside. He’ll end up saving the 616 universe, but lose his life in the process. Hickman usually brings things from all the way in the beginning back to the end of the story.

The bridge appeared first in Ultimate Comics Fantastic 4. It’s the same issue where Reed gets tricked by Zombie Reed Richards.
I think we are going to have an Ultimate Superior Spider-man in the new ultimate universe with peter under his wing.
So this is what you get when Ultimate Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four going Doctor Doom and Ultron at the same time in terms of personality.

He doesn’t prevent the origin of Ultimate Spider-Man (1610). He prevents the origin of a Spider-Man we’ve never seen before, in universe 6160.
It’s likely a combination of 616 and 1610. It’s clearly a very intentional number, but it’s a new universe.
I hope they stopped the Cannibal Hulk from existing.

Its because its Peter from Earth 6160. I'm guessing Maker may be using this universe as his own template to recreate 1610
I kinda don't like the "Stopping Ultimate Peter from becoming Spiderman" thing. I mean his story was by far the best one out of the entire Ultimate Universe and the way it ended with him being resurrected left a rather sour taste in my mouth, especially after the whole "Death of Spiderman" story which was amazing. So I was hoping they'd give him a second chance to sort of, idk, have more cool stories to make up for the bizarre immortality powers him and Norman got. But maybe it's just to early to say. (Btw wasn't Marry Jane Peter's only friend before he became "cool" later donw the line)

Okay I have to ask now .. if he went back in time to the point of stopping Peter from becoming ultimate Spider-Man what’s that do to miles on the main earth?
Will he just phase out of existence? The idea being If ultimate Peter never became Spider-Man In the first place would the events still play out the same? Is miles a fixed point in reality this whole time? Wether it’s Peter who gets bit and dies eventually or Joe shmowe down the road is miles aways destined to take the mantle?
I think that Miles having been relocated into a different dimension (family and all) made him a little bit resistant to Time Manipulation that isn't on Earth-616
That’s not the case. This isn’t time travel, this is a new universe but made by how The Maker perceives it. Which means this isn’t the ultimate universe that we know of, it’s a universe that he created and he designed.
Miles is alive and well in 616 along with his family, what Reed does there won’t affect him.

You know, Peter not getting bit by a spider is somewhat a good thing because lets be real most of his problem came from being Spider-man.

Given how the Ultimate Universe had alot of gruesome stuff (including cannibalism and Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver having an incestuous relationship) I was not sad to see it go.

I do like how the Maker has always kept the font / lettering they used for the Ultimate universe.
Something thats probably gonna play a part in this is all the times recently weve seen the ultimate universe survive so my guess is that reed interrupting this huge event will trigger something on the side of the spider totems and the web of life and destiny while also causing miles to feel the direct side effects of this because the spider that bit miles was a direct result of ultimate norman finding out peters identity as spiderman then recreating the research and playing with adding his oz formula to the spider with out peter becoming spider this never happens

I can't contain my obsession wiith the Ultimate Universe any longer!!! Thank you Jonathan Hickman. I need to read some of his greatest stories on Marvel Comics, but I'm going to read the entire Ultimate Universe.
His Fantastic 4 to Avengers to Secret Wars is one of my favorite stories of all time! Rob has covered them on this channel

I wish Hickman had stuck with what Donny Cates had established. I think The Maker being tasked to rebuild the ultimate universe by the council of reeds was a really cool goal for the character. I figured ultimate invasion would've built on that by The Maker invading and stealing the resources from the 616 universe. But i guess not. its whatever, ill read whatever hickman writes.

I’ve been out of comics for half a decade now. Hickman’s pulling me back in with this story and what he’s doing with the X-Men. I hope this story ends with the resetting of the 1610 universe… preferably before Ultimates 3 and Ultimatum lol. Even though that train wreck did give us Ultimate Comics: The Ultimates. Which is a great story for any reader wanting to learn more on The Maker.
Any guesses on why The Maker really asked Miles to come with him? When he was just going to go back in time in his reality........He could of said to Miles he was going to go back in time to a point his parents are alive. Was that ever specified in? and your just leaving it out? Rob really got me thinking. He never does anything with out a reason. AAAAHHHG I hate Timey Whimey shenanigans !
The way you take shots at Blackbolt every chance you get is hilarious
All bullets are faster than sound hence all are hypersonic. Ive been shot at Bullet whiz past my head .01 seconds after you hear the shot. Its why if you hear the shot you are not hit.

The best Reed Richards is the worst Reed Richards THE MAKER. I think Maker will make his own Spidey & most of his own Heroes & Villains. I know he said a world w/out either, but he's insane, goals change.

You're telling me Reed Richards, Post-Secret War 2015, who chose to lock the Maker up and not outright eliminate him didn't have any kind of safeguards in terms of the bioscan security systems? The guy who rebuilt the multiverse with his son, knows how dangerous the Maker is, couldn't think of something as simple as a retinal scan that requires two working eyes? I love Hickman but this feels like an example of "we gotta dumb down the characters so this thing can even happen" type of stuff.
