    This match demonstrates the importance of endurance in competitive MTG. I have to believe Shawn was just wiped out at this point. Sloppy end step and countermagic play at this stage usually is a sign of exhaustion.

    Love how everyone is complaining about that misplay but put yourself in his shoes. It's so easy to analyze plays and decisions afterwards when you can rewind and pause and are not constantly playing against some of the best players in the world. I want to see any of you making it to the finals!

      +Lucas Preston is that LSV? he's wearing a SCG shirt, that's unnatural.

    Elves is the only deck that I really like to watch Reid duke play against any opponent, 2021 and still watching this

    Reid duke is the best modern/legacy alive right now.

    Reanimator can walk all over elves if it is played correctly. Shawn misplayed terribly.

      because mistake and fatigue, all that really matters is that reid was able to take advantage and play perfectly. i think allot of people are missing the point.

    Normally i respect other players, we all maded miatakea already, but the guy with force let the shaman enter, and the only spike situation he would have in the second game he let it go...

    Tappen should've dazed the scavenging ooze game two. He would've won the game if he did

      +Stef van Deursen Duke had 1 mana floating

    • @PhilShary
      @PhilShary 8 років тому +3

      +Stef van Deursen He shouldn't have been Tappen his land.

    • @GutoCmtt
      @GutoCmtt 8 років тому +2

      +Adolfo Berríos He did, but then he would have no mana (since he had played the land for his turn), if he did use quirion ranger he would have only 2 elves and wouldn't be able to generate extra mana. Then on his turn, he could cast pithing needle naming scaveging ooze

    • @SoMainstream
      @SoMainstream 6 років тому +2

      @Augusto Comitti (or anyone reading this that doesn't understand why these people are wrong) Quirion ranger can be activated on both turns. Duke pays the remaining green to daze bounces 1 of his bayous on his turn to untap ranger/druid. Then he can either bounce on the opponents upkeep to untap the other and generate 3 mana or wait until the opponent casts something and do it then.

    Was Tappen paid to lose there?? I know Duke is good Magic player, but it also helps when your opponent makes critical mistakes.

    • @GenyaArikado
      @GenyaArikado 9 років тому +1

      Jayckob Exactly. You can't even play a game of legacy or vintage for 5 minutes before someone is winning.

    • @chawan92
      @chawan92 9 років тому +5

      ***** Even though it's possible and not uncommon to end quickly, most legacy games will last more than a few minutes.

      +Jayckob wellllll Reid didn't have to concede, this was just the most pleasant outcome for everyone. Shawn won, Reid didn't have to sit there and watch Shawn diddle himself for a minute while he wins. He mulled to 4, it happens. He shouldn't expect to win off that :)

    I watched the first 60 seconds of this video then left. These casters are completely unproffesional and don't deserve any recognition.
