Yes!! It takes some extra minutes but I mean if I already spent a lot of time washing, deep conditioning and blow drying then I might as well take the extra step to make sure it turns out good😂❤️
It looks like you got your silk press done at a salon now that's a salon quality type of silk press without paying people. Thank you for this video I've been wanting to learn how to do a salon quality silk press. I got my hair silk press a couple years ago and it looked more like a blow dryed silk press than a silk press I am learning so much by watching your silk press videos
@@hereforit2347You have to remember that everyone’s hair is different. What works for one persons hair might not work for your hair and the opposite can be true as well.
Damnsssss this was beautiful. It makes me sooo happy to see other people really enjoying heat styling and not being afraid of it. Beautiful results. I make natural hair videos as well. I did a big chop in December and seeing your length makes me miss hair long hair. All your tips are golden. 😊
I regrew my hair for a year following chemo. Wish I had seen your video before I got frustrated and cut off half my length. Your technique worked very well!
Love seeing this. I'm half black and Asian, my daughter is 13 and 1/4 asian... her hair is way longer and, thicker and stronger than mine. Her natural hair is about the same length as this, she is a few inches away from this length. She has never had weaves in her hair, we just relax her roots every 3 months. I wanna try silk pressing her hair. Thanks for the inspiration.
Relaxers are very dangerous for our health and have been linked to all types of cancer. Your 13 year old child does not need a relaxer smh. Embrace her natural texture and show her that it's beautiful the way it is
Thank youu, I do a silk press once a month. I’ve been consistently straightening for a little over a year now, but I’ve been getting silk presses since I was 9!❤️
I don’t wear my hair in it’s naturally curly state, only in braid outs. When it’s straight I wrap it every night, wear a bonnet and oil my ends when necessary❤️
@@mekalae thank you ! you have a very beautiful hair !! I have a very fine hair so when I do my silk press it is moving like yours and my roots revert back very quickly. Did u have tips for that ? because I do sport many times on a week and do not want to choose between sport and my hair. Keep doing this !!
You’re welcome! I used to be a cheerleader and I also used to be in the gym nearly everyday, I always put my hair up and tie it in a bun with a cotton or sports headband over my hairline since that’s where I sweat the most. I don’t sweat much in my scalp honestly so I’m not sure how to prevent it from reverting. Hope this helps 💜
Thank you! And no I don’t actually, I’ve been looking into trying a bond repair line like k18 but I’m doing some more research. If you have any recommendations please share 🙏🏾💜
@@mekalae Hello, I know you didn't ask me, but here's some recommendations. I've liked the Fanola Fiber Fix set, but I think the US distributor stopped selling it. 2 affordable dupes from Korea are Lador Hydro LPP Treatment and Elizavecca CER 100 Collagen Ceramide Coating Protein Treatment. I like all of them since I have relaxed hair, but since your hair is natural you shouldn't need them more than once a month. Hope this helps beautiful! 🤗💖
Hey sorry for the late reply, but the chi website says it does function as a heat protectant but it doesn’t specify to which temperature, so I always use another form of heat protection that goes up to 450 degrees just incase💖💖
You are CORRECT! The smaller the flat-ironing sections the better! It will take longer but the results? 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Your hair is beautiful! It looks very professional like from a salon.

Am I the only one who thinks the blow dryed hair was so pretty too it looks smooth but voluminous and thick
Thank u💜💜
I only use Tresemmé Heat Protectant on my silk press. No oils, serums, or leave-ins. ❤
Nice!❤️ I tried using only heat protectant spray once and my hair puffed back up the same day lol😂💜
@@mekalae: Really? Oh, wow. I had the opposite experience. The heat protectant helped my press last WAY longer and my hair isn’t heat trained at all.

Make sure u have enough moisture before. If u don’t, ur hair will attract moisture from the air
