Im British and married to a Pakistani .i moved to Pakistan and have lived here now 33 years we never had a problem , i have 3 children they have been brought up in both our cultures my two older children want an arrange marriage me and my husband will support them in what ever they decide we have no problem in a love marriage or arrange marriage as long as they are happy thats all we wish for them .
Also i don’t understand parents/ families who’s willing to DISOWN their own child because the child don’t do what they want!!!! And they say we love or family is important to us. Bullying. You love me if I do what you want. So many women have been killed / abused because of what parents want.
It's disheartening to see how some Muslim communities forget that Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) last born was half African. The ignorance and prejudice within our ummah are appalling. As Muslims, we must educate ourselves about Islam's diverse history and treat each other with the respect and dignity taught by our Prophet (PBUH).
From my experience, I have found a lot of pakistani parents tend to confuse culture for religion and follow this through my thoroughly opposed to the teachings of Islam.
Yes colorism exists in all the seven continents. It is actually disgusting. It makes me sick how people fall for this kind of foolishness. It is sad and frustrating.
Nothing wrong with interracial marriages but I have to ask, why do some purposely seek a spouse of another culture/race/nationality and refuse your own? That’s a bit weird IMO
It depends on who you grow up around. If you live in an area where there isnt many from your background naturally you will gravitate towards someone unfamiliar to your background. This is a strange comment because when you pass in the hereafter your cultural background literally means nothing. Its tribal mentality to think someone should only be with their “own”.
@@HareandHayica I think your comment is strange because I never said someone should “only be with their own”… either you read wrong or did not comprehend. My comment was about those who only want to marry someone outside of their background I.e rejecting their own. If you think it’s wrong for people to only be with their own then surely it’s wrong for people only to be with someone different?…
@@HareandHayica “there are very few that do” ok, and that’s why I asked “why do SOME purposely seek…” So actually my comment was quite clear, even to you.
@@civildiscourse7626 it was the fact that you put “refuse your own”. That’s why I said very few do. Your comment is making implications by the way it was phrased. Its a generalization that people who search for others are refusing their own. In reality “their own” could be the very ones not choosing them so they would have to seek people outside “their own”.
I’m an American and my partner is Algerian Muslim, we have had to take our relationship very slowly as I never considered myself religious and so the spiritual connection has been one where I have had to make more effort to convert as it’s a requirement from his family and him for me to convert to Islam. It’s been a crazy journey of ups and downs and learning to accept a new way of beliefs and truly adopt the practices for me. We still have not married it’s contingent upon my shahada.
Take your shahada If you want to, don't take no shahada for no man he shouldn't even be looking at non Muslim women anyways, don't let anyone pressure you into becoming Muslim only do it if you want to
48:50 MAKE SURE TO SAY Sall-Allahu alay-hi wa salam after he mentions Prophet Muhammad (Sall-Allahu alay-hi wa salam). Also, I read that we should spell things out like instead of saying, "Prophet Muhammad (SAW)" or "Allah (SWT)" we should spell it out like: Prophet Muhammad (Sall-Allahu alay-hi wa salam)and "Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala). Jazak Allah Khair for such a great video and may Allah Almighty continue to increase you all in hs ranks, firm upon the deen, and always smiling as a result of Allah Almighty's Kindness, Ameen.
That only thing that brings me peace on this topic is that at the end of the day, it’s Allahs plan and nothing/no one can stop that. Make dua and leave the rest in Allahs hands.
There are pros and cons to interracial marriages. I'm completely against racism but think that background culture can impact mindset and expectations. All marriages have hurdles, but interracial ones can have more depending on which cultures they are. That said, I wouldn't stop my child if they liked someone, and I would consider other races in an arranged marriage, but language and other factors would definitely be concern. I have many mixed marriages in my family. They can work out well.
With marriage, it's really on a case by case basis. You can't say from the same race is best or different race is best, same family is best, different family is best, because every person is unique and every situation is different.
This is an issue if you are an immigrant to the west.. But if you are born in the west the people you grew up will have almost the same mindset as you...
my opinion is religion is more important than race I think people of the same faith get along better and people can be any color because that's how God created you, it cant be changed, you cant choose it but you can choose your faith, you can choose your religion congratulations to you
Pakistan is a very diverse nation. There are blond haired blue eyed Pakistanis in the far north, far eastern (Mongolian) Hazara Pakistanis to the west and Afro Pakistanis in the south. Pakistan is a blend of its immediate neighbours, western India, eastern Afghanistan & southwestern Iran.
Hazrat Bilal r.a was black.. and one of the beloved sahabah of our beloved prophet Muhammad pbuh and muezzin who gave azaan in Ka'ba.. mash Allah beautiful couple..
At some point you got to stand on your ace. Its okay to love your family BUT as a man you one day have to take a stand for who you will be and what you will have. Go your own way.
Of course that's true. But it comes with certain consequences. If one is raised by good parents, but since not all parents are perfect, they may have their own reasons to say no. It can risk alienation from parents.
Can any race become Muslim? Would it be accepted? Also, I live in Buffalo, NY, and we have a heavy Muslim community, but they are separate because there are Arabic Muslims, thai/Burmese Muslims, and there are rven some Indian Muslims. Are the teachings still the same?
Yes brother, any race can become Muslim. Islam is a belief system not a racial thing. The teachings are same but people growing up in different cultures may do things differently.
@@Samura1_Kur0 Have you heard a country called Albania. Kosovo or Bosnia. they are all white and muslim too. but if you are talking about western withe Look for Yusuf Estas. Dr Jeffrey Lang, two white muslims..
I have NEVER seen ONE of these shows where the BLACK PARENTS are disowning their children for getting involved in interracial relations. That is disgusting if Black parents don't feel the same way about their children.
i personally dont think its racist, i just think for some are just not comfortable with it. even though in islam its acceptable , we all have different preferences and likes and dislikes
This is the biggest issue muslims face in these days.. If you are a Muslim man you are more likely your family will accept your if she is from a different background but if you are a woman it is a different story all together.... So those muslim convert sisters who marry a muslim men you will be shown hospitality that will not be shown to your husbands foreign brother in law..
Some Muslim don't follow what prophet said to all Muslims about marry once the person is good Muslim and good person finish the must to give person the woman to marry. May Allah clean they are heart . and know right thing in islam
We can only change how we see outsiders when we change how we view those within our own cultures. Charity starts at home. I think we have more work to do beyond racism . I must say though, in general we are doing alright if you compare us to the western culture that we live in. Western, Liberal, capitalist societies are generally better when it comes to racism but I would argue that these very ideals are not compatible to humanity. By the way, is your channel's name a new name? What's the story about the name?
If people are afraid to marry a convert to Islam because of their family not being Muslim, then whom would the converts marry, especially if there are many single converts. Also, you guys go to school, work etc with non-Muslims and dont have a problem with society norms those places. Converts are a perfect addition to any Muslim family, and this will definitely push them away since many choose culture, " what people will say" over marriage to a good Muslim.
Honestly so sad … there are many beautiful god fearing Muslims that struggle through finding marriageable partners in there cultural… they find a Muslim partner but a different culture and parents absolutely dismiss and refuse the idea just because they only want to stick to there own culture .. end up in lovelies and horrible marriage just to please the parent
@civildiscourse7626 because you can have 4 wives. I would marry 3 before 30 years and get married to the last one when im 65 years old and marry a 18 year old
@@tobiasgriffinthis is only a luxury the top 1 percent can afford. Many men practice one part of a ruling or religious declaration and ignore the others. Been knowing this since the 70's! 'You Black Man, me Black Man too", said almost every Asian Man growing up when there was any kind of argument and he was on his own. We always said, 'really, can I marry your daughter'? SILENCE!!!! Hypocrisy is big in both, "Race".., & Religion! To me the Religious people are far far worse, because you're supposed to be a Child of God. Ain't we, "All Gods Creatures"? Apparently NOT, even if we're of the same Religion. Let's not even get into Colourism!!! For decades I thought it was only a Black ting. NOPE! Pray, forgive my Swahili, but...., FK em! PS.., I don't speak Swahili..... Si Mi Ya...🇬🇧🇯🇲
@Winstonbrown1516 - Ridiculous comment. Absolutely myopic and brain dead. Brown people barely marry outside of their village and you expect them to marry their daughter to someone from a completely different country and culture?! Just because you're the target of the same skinheads?! Grow the hell up. As if black men gladly let their daughters marry Indo-Paks! Tell you what, why don't you go and try to marry a Nigerian Yoruba first and then come and talk
The elephant in the room is RELIGION which U guys are dancing around! Prohibition by RELIGION! That's the main issue that people find difficult to overcome.
Sunan Ibn Majah 4337 It was narrated from Abu Umamah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “There is no one whom Allah will admit to Paradise but Allah will marry him to seventy-two wives, two from houris and seventy from his inheritance from the people of Hell, all of whom will have desirable front passages and he will have a male member that never becomes flaccid (i.e., soft and limp).’”
There is nothing wrong with a family wanting to protect their culture and race. Families do better when theres hedgemony. Theres a difference between who u will pray with and who u will allow in ur family.
That's the mindset of a disbeliever and such is rejected in Islam. Nationalism is disliked in Islam and the only thing that matters is your religion. Race and culture will do you no good on the day of judgment and when you are in the grave the only protection that will matter to you is your deeds. My wife is from Indonesia, I am a Nigerian and we do very well as a family. My mum and family love my wife and there is no disunity. You are just making excuses and trying to promote a practice that was rejected by the prophet Muhammad.
@mdidris4414 @mdidris4414 yeah I understand how this would trigger u. And I don't want to be disrespectful. But I dont care if u want to reject me because I don't like ur culture or if I find it incompatible with my own. Nobody owes u anything. U mentioned how ur family accepted an Indonesian. But u didn't mention how her family feels about u. I guarantee u weren't their first choice. U think islam permits a daughter from marrying against her father's wishes? U have a right to try and create the family u want, but every other man has the same right to have their own standards.
@@absolute757 I can hear the jealousy and hatred in your voice. You talk ignorantly without knowing the facts, only because you incline more towards your culture than what Allah has commanded you to follow. I was the families first choice, so much so, that her mother started crying when I was having second thought about getting married. See her mother judged me by how much I feared Allah and not because I come from a specific culture. The prophet Muhammad, married some of his black companions to the Arab woman when they complained about not being able to find a wife, and the prophet himself married a Jewish woman from a different tribe. I am sure that if we meet, we would see that their is little about you that represents Islam and more of an inclination to South Asian Hindu culture. Let's see how far you're culture will get you on the day of judgment when you were trying to promote disunity amongst the Muslims. The religion you follow is your own desires and Hindu culture, may Allah guide you to Islam. And when it is said to them, “Follow what Allah has revealed,” they say, “Rather, we will follow that which we found our fathers doing.” Even though their fathers understood nothing, nor were they guided? [2:170] Hadith below mentions character, Islam, and not culture. “If there comes to you one with whose religious commitment and character you are pleased, then marry your daughter [or female relative under your care] to him, for if you do not do that then there will be much tribulation and mischief in the land.” They said, “O Messenger of Allaah, what if there is some other objection?” He said, “If there comes to you one with whose religious commitment and character you are pleased, then marry your daughter [or female relative under your care] to him,” three times. @@absolute757 my previous comment was deleted for some reason. But I was saying that you sound jealous and full of hate. You make assumptions based on my ethnicity which shows that your real issue is racism and envy. The mother loved me so much that she started crying when I was having second thought about getting married. See, her parents judge me on my religion and character and not a culture that mostly has nothing to do with Islam. We have a very good relationship and they love me very much. The question then comes if you really are a Muslim if you incline towards culture and your desires and not towards the sunnah of the prophet Muhammad. When his black companions complained about not being able to find a wife, the prophet Muhammad married them to the Arab woman of his community. Also, the prophet Muhammad married a Jewish woman that was not from his tribe. You follow your own religion and not that of Islam. Let's see what good your culture will do on the day of judgment. May Allah guide you to Islam.
@@absolute757 also, in Islam there are plenty of Hadith which say that if a man comes to you and his religion is good and you reject his proposal, then there will be mischief in the land. Scholars say that if the father rejects a proposal of a man whose religion is good, the daughter can bypass her father and find a more suitable walee. Parents are not allowed to force their daughters to marry someone who they don't want to. In the hanafi mudhub, a woman does not need a walee to get married. This can be true if a father rejects her daughters marriage proposal to a pious man based on his ethnicity. Wow alhumdulillah love this video. You guys are awesome. May Allah make it easy for all to get married to whoever they want and may Allah bless your boths marriage with lots of happiness
Love is a powerful tool it comes with respect and happiness
Im British and married to a Pakistani .i moved to Pakistan and have lived here now 33 years we never had a problem , i have 3 children they have been brought up in both our cultures my two older children want an arrange marriage me and my husband will support them in what ever they decide we have no problem in a love marriage or arrange marriage as long as they are happy thats all we wish for them .
I was constantly told growing up, to think for myself, I didn't know it at the time but was being raised to be a leader.
Islam is for all, we are all equal. We are all made from clay.
So true I feel sooo strongly about this, being racist is haram marrying from another culture is not where is the issue
I ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ you guys. Valid valid points. Currently having this same convo with an African friend. Will share this video.
Also i don’t understand parents/ families who’s willing to DISOWN their own child because the child don’t do what they want!!!! And they say we love or family is important to us. Bullying. You love me if I do what you want. So many women have been killed / abused because of what parents want.
Thank you!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Its Haram stopping your child from marrying their own choices...As long as they are muslims..the perants need to agree and support them
My dear brother and my dear sister may ALLAH bless you both and your child. This is a very good topic!!!!!!!!!
Ameen. May Allah shower his blessings and you and your family also!!
We love you two. My wife is Filipino and I am Black/White/Asiatic Indian.
Fantastic podcast well done❤
❤️❤️❤️
Masha Allah! Beautiful Couple!
even within the pakistanis there is colorism...... People are just looking for ways to feel superior, which is comical and sad at the same time.
So true!
Yes colorism exists in all the seven continents. It is actually disgusting. It makes me sick how people fall for this kind of foolishness. It is sad and frustrating.
Sneak peek is so on point ❤Love you X's🥰🤗

@@civildiscourse7626 because your comment is implying that people purposely seek people outside their own. In reality there are few that do this
@@HareandHayica “there are very few that do” ok, and that’s why I asked “why do SOME purposely seek…”
So actually my comment was quite clear, even to you.
Take your shahada If you want to, don't take no shahada for no man he shouldn't even be looking at non Muslim women anyways, don't let anyone pressure you into becoming Muslim only do it if you want to
You Are a target because you are white. These men wats white girks. And you are pressured into converting 😢. Don’t do it
Loved that last point .. would you let your daughter marry the Holy Prophet
SubhanAllah ❤️
Oh yes a city blows up and it's Allah's plan. WTF?
There are pros and cons to interracial marriages. I'm completely against racism but think that background culture can impact mindset and expectations. All marriages have hurdles, but interracial ones can have more depending on which cultures they are. That said, I wouldn't stop my child if they liked someone, and I would consider other races in an arranged marriage, but language and other factors would definitely be concern. I have many mixed marriages in my family. They can work out well.
With marriage, it's really on a case by case basis. You can't say from the same race is best or different race is best, same family is best, different family is best, because every person is unique and every situation is different.
@@cyberspace7208 completely agree
@@cyberspace7208yes you can say different family is best. Because incest heightens disabilities!!!
This is an issue if you are an immigrant to the west.. But if you are born in the west the people you grew up will have almost the same mindset as you...
Who cares! Get a life.
my opinion is religion is more important than race
I think people of the same faith get along better
and people can be any color because that's how God created you, it cant be changed, you cant choose it
but you can choose your faith, you can choose your religion
congratulations to you
Thank you guy good conversation
Lovely video ❤ thank you for sharing
Good stuff... * I shared you on my Socials!
Thank you!! 🤍
Racial prejudice is all over the world, and in Al Islam has some issue along race and color line, too.
Seeing forward they disavow you as their daughter also. Please do let know in the future, we are waiting with impatience😂😂😂
What's up X's!🎉 "You Wrong"😂 Keep keeping it Real!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts about this topic.
Really nice to hear from you again! 😂❤️
Can Muslim women marry a non believer even though if they both love each other? That’s the most important thing to religion i guess!
Guys "Amara" is also black, it's a short for "Amarachi" ok?
:)
At some point you got to stand on your ace. Its okay to love your family BUT as a man you one day have to take a stand for who you will be and what you will have. Go your own way.
That’s crazy I can’t believe it’s such a big issue I’m mixed myself though so I don’t see an issue lol but that’s wild
You should discuss polygamy
Been so close to doing this video multiple times. People are going to send for me 😂
Islam allow us to marry a good man if parents had no valid reasons to say no
Of course that's true. But it comes with certain consequences. If one is raised by good parents, but since not all parents are perfect, they may have their own reasons to say no. It can risk alienation from parents.
Islam allows it, but the family pressure and consequences can often be too much to deal with. Sad situation.
Islam is not a race brother and anyone can become Muslim.. just read and see it for yourself إِنْ شَاءَ ٱللّٰهُ .
Honestly, I asked this question because I've never seen a white/European Muslim
@@Samura1_Kur0 Have you heard a country called Albania. Kosovo or Bosnia. they are all white and muslim too. but if you are talking about western withe Look for Yusuf Estas. Dr Jeffrey Lang, two white muslims..
I have NEVER seen ONE of these shows where the BLACK PARENTS are disowning their children for getting involved in interracial relations. That is disgusting if Black parents don't feel the same way about their children.
I'm glad you used the term interethnic as I was taught there's only two RACES. HUMAN AND ANIMAL 😊
It’s caste issues!! It’s also what religion is the child going to take on!! It’s never going to change
i personally dont think its racist, i just think for some are just not comfortable with it. even though in islam its acceptable , we all have different preferences and likes and dislikes
BEAUTIFUL COUPLE MA SHA ALLAH MAY ALLAH BLESS YOU AS LONG AS ONE IS MUSLIM.
Who cares! Get a life.
It's not always racism some times they want a similar home
What does a parent do when a child insist to be be with a non Muslim?
That's a hard one!
It can be tricky. It’s on our podcast list too. Although it is permissible for a Muslim man to marry a woman of the book. ☺️
There is no place where racism is so prevalent like in muslim community although Islam prohibits racism.
We can only change how we see outsiders when we change how we view those within our own cultures. Charity starts at home. I think we have more work to do beyond racism
.
Not all muslim are like that dear.. This is an issues for a certain cultures...
Honestly so sad … there are many beautiful god fearing Muslims that struggle through finding marriageable partners in there cultural… they find a Muslim partner but a different culture and parents absolutely dismiss and refuse the idea just because they only want to stick to there own culture .. end up in lovelies and horrible marriage just to please the parent
i love pakistanis the ladies are ladies always friendly.
Question for the Muslims : can a non Muslim man marry a Muslim woman?
Big up Jamaican bro.
If i become Muslim im going to marry a girls of different colours
Why?
@civildiscourse7626 because you can have 4 wives. I would marry 3 before 30 years and get married to the last one when im 65 years old and marry a 18 year old
@@tobiasgriffin but why different colours?
@@tobiasgriffinthis is only a luxury the top 1 percent can afford. Many men practice one part of a ruling or religious declaration and ignore the others. Waalaikum as Salaam. there's another topic unaddressed... money, money, money, money, moooneeey. and class, caste, status; and how "cultural differences," language, level of observance are utilised as thin pretenses for these discriminations. also, what about an in-depth talk about Islam and slaVery, what is allowed, what is prohibited, what is discouraged yet permitted. and another topic, Islamic methodologies of cooperative economics (and how these pertain to contemporary practices like Fair Trade, Democratic Socialism, and additionally). And wheneVer you're ready for it, In'sh'Allah, a talk about citizenship in a democracy and how this allegiance affects/influences/hinders our Deen (considering the militaristic and economic exploits committed directly by democratic goVernments and facilitated through the auspices of democratic goVernments; and the difference between going against the Filial Piety Regime of Macca 1400 years ago and challenging a republic that has revolving leadership doors and is extremely difficult to shame or call-out compared to a Monarchic/Family rule predicated upon Traditional Family Heritage and constructs)-- ok, that's a bit much.
NOPE!

The elephant in the room is RELIGION which U guys are dancing around! Prohibition by RELIGION! That's the main issue that people find difficult to overcome.
Sunan Ibn Majah 4337
It was narrated from Abu Umamah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“There is no one whom Allah will admit to Paradise but Allah will marry him to seventy-two wives, two from houris and seventy from his inheritance from the people of Hell, all of whom will have desirable front passages and he will have a male member that never becomes flaccid (i.e., soft and limp).’”
Racism is not okay, but religious bigotry totaly is.

Hadith below mentions character, Islam, and not culture.
