In the infinite number of universes parallel to our own, there are horrifying creatures of many shapes and sizes that aren't quite human and not quite animals either. We see them in our nightmares and they also seem to appear when we're alone and when we least expect it. This is a percussion ensemble all about their world. Just like how there's always a bigger fish in the deep oceans, there's always a bigger demon in their world.
The ensemble features just about as much chromatic tonality as one can handle. Spooky acoustic sound effects from auxiliary percussion and synthesizers make this piece more than your everyday percussion ensemble. It's more like a challenging but exciting horror movie arrangement!

This is so awesome. My marching band is doing a dark show in the fall and the percussion section is the strongest its ever been, I might suggest this piece to my director so we could use a movement as our percussion feature. This is such an awesome piece.
+Zera Falconer Yes, please suggest it!
My high school is readying for this, so pumped for percussion ensemble!
I'm mad over this ensemble, thank you so so so much!!!!
Love seeing how your writing gets more complex through the years. You're making a lot of awesome stuff man!
Fantastic composition. The last minute was really amazing, jamming through all of it.
I think I've found another writer to place among my favorites. Just fantastic.
Thanks very much!
I am currently looking for pieces to try to put together for a talent show of sorts. Could you give me an idea of the amount of equipment required for this piece? Thanks so much
The full instrumentation can be found here: www.ericpeelmusic.com/theres-always-a-bigger-demon
Oh duh. Thanks so much!!
No problem! And you of course don't have to adhere to all those duplicate instruments for a talent show, but it will give you a general idea.
Definitely one of my favorite percussion ensemble pieces. Great work!
Thank you! Glad you like it!
Your best composition so far
Sounds great, Eric!
I've been waiting for so long...
this is awesome music, great job!!! I can hear this writtin as an indoor drum line piece, that would be epic!! lol
I'm hoping by this weekend. I want it to look nice!!
Thank you Zach!
New favorite arrangement of any percussion piece. Only $50 is really good too. Have to see if band director would be interested. Great job!!
Thanks for checking out the piece, and I'm happy it's your new favorite! Let me know what your director thinks about it. :)
Oh dang, wait, you're Daniel Recoder! I had no you were the one who commented let alone were keeping up with my videos! Thanks for the comment, man, and watching my vids. You are one sick quad player!

So close to the ten year update!!!
Not sure it will be this year but I’ll try! Dusk to Dawn update is next!
Thank you very much!
Thank you!
Watching this again to get into the Halloween Spirit.
@Eric C. W. Peel Haha thanks man, I appreciate it. I've been keeping up with your videos for a couple years now, there's definitely been a lot of sick stuff!
AWESOME :D
TheMisterMarimba is correct. Virtual Drumline for all the percussion sounds and Sibelius 7 Sounds for the synth sounds.
Thanks Jesse :)
I designed the parts for a group of individuals with varying levels of ability. A dedicated high school group shouldn't have a problem with it, as long as enough time is given for rehearsing. Thanks for the comment.
The pictures for this are so creepy, the music is awesome though.
This was Louisiana Star's closer and I just wanna say, I enjoyed the hell out of playing it
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I've very much enjoyed seeing the recordings on youtube I've seen so far :) let me know if there is one from finals week you know of!
I may very well be wrong but I do believe he uses virtual drumline.
Thanks! Xylophones and glock are two-mallet, and vibes and marimbas are four-mallet.
não consigo entrar na Web para comprar a música.
What level of play would you rate this. This sounds very good and I have a highschool group who would love to play something like this.
If you know Ryun Louie you should show him this stuff.. He might like this.
There are three.
Awesome stuff, man. Are the mallet parts two or four mallet?
lol I see the rake
🧟♂️
Is there a drum set part or is there just a snare part, bass drum part, and auxiliary parts?
When will the sheet music be released?
Are there two or three auxiliary parts?
is there a different price for just battery score?
No battery. It's concert-only!
i meant of your other indoor shows. my bad. Would i be able to purchas just batter for home playing use?
ELDLtenors We can figure something out! Can you pm me more details?
A drum corps will have this as one of there movements 😱
XlEviLHeRo you are correct 😏
