I’m so blown away to find this! I stumbled upon it by accident. I played Cassie in this production and this is the only archival footage I have of this part of my life. So proud to be a part of this production! Thank you! You’ll never know how much this means to me.
I just discovered your postings and am so thankful and bowled over at the production values of AMTSJ. I've seen MANY productions of ACL and this ranks among the best I've ever seen. It's a damn shame that AMTSJ is no long in existence. What a legacy they left. Thankfully you've made it available for us to witness and enjoy and learn.
@@rrrrrric I will look for it. He also did Pippin and Dreamgirls down there. Not sure if same company. I miss him sooooooo much. The entire cast was wonderful in the line.....
Thank you for posting these. Was a season subscriber to amt and Hoped to play in the pit orchestra before they went bankrupt. We own many sets, blueprints and memorabilia from their auction. Sad :(
Nic Ford i was given a box of equity archive tapes to make a memorial video when Dianna Shuster passed away. I agree. Such a shame that this institution is gone. I was lucky enough to work there a couple dozen times.
I was trying to find out something about this theater group, thanks to yutube I have watched 23 of them, some were better than original. Where is this group based and what and where did they get such talent? The dancing was top drawer, trying to watch chess but having hard time getting it. Saw I on broadway 3 times and its one of my favs. Please furnish some info about this wonderful group.
Bill Heckroth unfortunately, this company closed their doors over ten years ago. They did some really great work (and kept a bunch of Bay Area performers employed for a long time).
@@billheckroth942 A friend of mine (also an equity actor who worked there frequently) wrote his senior thesis on the company's demise. scholarworks.sjsu.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=8082&context=etd_theses
@@rrrrrric A few days ago, 10/22/2019 I became aware of AMTSJ, saved all the shows I could find to my "Watch Later" and have viewed 3 so far. Absolutely wonderful. Such Talent, on Stage and off. I've seen a lot of Theater in my many years, was fortunate to enjoy many Broadway Original productions during 1958 thru 62 and during a couple return visits. The AMTSJ productions are like a Front Row Mez. Seat in the theater. Capturing these shows was genius work of historical significance. Thanks to all involved. After my view of "A Chorus Line" this evening, I scrolled down to the comments, finding that the Company no longer exists. Such a damn shame. Thank you for posting your friend's Senior Thesis, which I plan to read tomorrow, knowing it will provide answers to my huge WHY!
