Where are they waiting for it to arrive from? I thought they made everything there in woodland. Btw, who cares about the color? How many decades have you been catching salmon? You could probably catch them on a broomstick with a dog turd as bait as this point. It’s experience and knowledge that catches fish, not confidence.
Evidently they are back ordered. That's gota tell you something. If they threw a new top half at no cost, no brainer. But for what it's worth, I'll just leave it. At least I'll know the option is there.

I replace my own rod tips. No, they don't always match.I don't sweat this stuff. Kinda like my old body. Fishy but it works fine.
To be clear, when I mentioned "rod tip" I was referring to the whole top section, the top half of the rod.
