- Kron Gracie is the son of Rickson Gracie, and he is famous for his agressive style. He is known for have beaten several world champions such as Otavio Souza, Gilbert Durinho and Leandro Lo. In 2013 Kron became the middle weight category ADCC champion, winning all his matches by submission.

Ummm sorry I was looking at the choke previous to that one.
He was looking for a triangle but had his left leg trapped in between his opponent so he switched to a loop choke.

Jiujutsu has serious problem in mma. Its takedown is very weak and easier to defend.
In order to defeat very highlevel jiututsu practitioner A striker only need to learn how to keep distance and learn how to defend the takedown, for example max holloway. A wrestler just need avoid the takedown, example woodly, usman etc.
Dont get me wrong, i have nothing against BJJ, It very dangerous on the ground even for high level wrestler for example maia vs askren. But if you can't take the fight to the ground you will have your face rearanged, example ortega vs holloway and kron vs cub swanson.
The only way bjj to be effective in mma is to learn the takedown. However, this is the root problem of bjj since the gracies almost ignore the judo takedown and trip and only focus on nezawa aspect of the judo.
Learn how to strike is also work, usually the wrestler keep the fight on the feet agains bjj practitiner and use their striking advantage.
Just cross train lol! It’s MMA not just BJJ
@@thepain-apple7821 Yes, but naturally is easier for wrestler to learn striking because explosiveness is natural in their game. Learn defending the takedown also not so hard for the strikers.
That why nowadays UFC champions are mostly coming from wrestling or striking backgrounds.
@@steverubio6072 The explosiveness of BJJ is largely dependent on who's teaching it. Khabib is a great example of that. His matches have the same intensity brought by Royce back in the day. If the practitioner happens to be learning at a sport club, than of course they'll have problems with takedowns. Why would they need to learn them? They can just pull guard.
