Fat Derek is giving me Squarepusher - Music is Rotted One Note vibes. LOVE the sampled bass line in it.
Thanks, I'm glad you think that because making a Squarepusher like pattern was exactly the brief for this one 😄 Overall I was given Squarepusher - Feed Me Weird Things and Aphex Twin - Richard D. James LP as references. By the way the baseline is just a single sampled slap bass note that I played with an external midi keyboard directly into the XT so it's all just captured in the step sequencer on the device. I added the Auto Wah effect on that track which helps it to sound authentic I think
@@ChrisLodyMusic Very nicely done! All that bass is done with a single sampled note, that's great, the Wah effect certainly helps making it sound authentic.
