I remember the last time I visited a Pizza Hut chain in Guangzhou with my wife. We ordered Austrian-style spicy pork steak fried rice with cheese, Portuguese custard tarts, and steaks, which were quite lovely. In contrast, in the UK, you only get things like onion rings and fried chicken wings the size of your fingers at a Pizza Hut chain; no fancy options whatsoever, while paying more than their Chinese counterparts.
I was shocked to see finger-sized fried chicken in a fried chicken restaurant in the UK.

Anyhow, all this to say, I loved your take on everything and your presentation was very entertaining even though at times, you were kinder then most other critics I've seen sampling Chinese versions of western fast food. Cheers and keep the shows coming.
Why? "Chinese versions of western fast food" in China is any time better than fast food in the West. 😊 😊 😊
@@internationaldaily9820For me, I think it’s because western fast food places actually have a decentish margin in China (ie priced higher than local currency competitors), to a point where they can experiment and put out more “higher end” items. If they pulled that in the US, they’d get reduced sales volumes; in China, it just sells, so they can put even more money in premium items
@@the-fantabulous-g i personally think china is allot more health conscious. I bet you those beef patties are not the are not the same as is it is in u.s😂
KFC in China is far superior to KFC in Japan or Hong Kong, simply for one item on their regular menu, the Peking Duck Wrap(or it's just called the "Old Beijing Wrap" since it's fried chicken instead of duck. Also KFC in HK and Japan are both horribly dry sitting under the lights drying out for hours. KFC's regular chicken breasts are still sometimes juicy, like in North America, barely edible, but still edible. Japanese KFC is worse than freeze-dried cardboard, even if they somehow worship it for xmas.

I know these videos were already shot weeks ago, but it would be cool to see a direct comparison between the American chains and the Chinese equivalents (e.g Starbucks v.s LuckinCoffee)
Luckin updates its menu frequently, a little bit like the fast food in China in this video, some are good and some are bad, and the average price is half of Starbucks, basically 2-3 dollars
LuckinCoffee is nasty. I know it gets a lot of attention overseas as this Chinese coffee chain, but all Chinese agree that Starbucks is much better.
