• RAGE AGAINST THE MACHI...
This band hasn’t released an album in over 20 years, played a show in over a decade, and it’s like they never left. One of the biggest bands on the planet, ever.
lilke the never left besides the name change to rage for the machine now just like the end of SLC punk
…on ANY planet, ever.
Correct
Not really.
@Mark Park someone gets it.
I was literally named after this band. I’m 21 years old and to say I got to see the band I was named after perform live is a fucking blessing!
That's intense. Cool parents!
Oh I thought Machine....🤪✌️
Be grateful your parents were not big Tool fans. That would have been unfortunate
I’m 100% Fr too guys my name is Raige, just rage with an I because my mom liked the idea of the name but wanted it to be different. I have a UA-cam channel where I react to music called Raige To The Beat. Almost like I was destined for it
Nice to meet you Greatest Band of All Time. Very long name but we all knew who your parents were talking about. Seriously though, Raige is a cool name with an awesome backstory
I’m trying to figure out how I aged 30 years while Rage hasn’t aged a day. Iconic
❤
These hard rockers have largely stayed off of drugs and alcohol, and it shows
I was at this concert. The Experience was SOMETHING ELSE. my ears were ringing for 3 weeks after the concert. My shirt was drenched in alcohol. 30 minutes before RATM even got on stage the lights would change colors so slightly and people would yell so loud thinking they were taking the stage. People waited 11 years and got what they have been asking for. Such an amazing performance by a legendary band. Truly a masterpiece.
I was there too I knew it was gonna be big never thought it was gonna be best show ever saw! And I’ve seen some shows: Primus Rush Tool SP NIN 311 Soundgarden The Police it was the best!!!

Of being sellouts? Anti gov band, thats licking the gov boot. Make it make sense .
@First name: Can you elaborate on the sellout-thing? I'm honestly interested in hearing where that is coming from. I haven't yet heared anything about them that would point in this direction.
The most prescient band ever
Thank god for this.
Zack voice never change.
And.... other band need more live performance like this.
Agree his voice is still the same
KoRn
His voice didn’t change but his credibility did. Rage for the machine
@@fastesteddiealivenah
Their lyrics is so priceless, it hits everywhere in our past, present and future.
Lyrically, the band itself is the masterpiece!!!!!! 🤘
Their lyrics are priceless and timeless… except one thing. We’re still talking about the same things because the same things are happening. Books being taken out of Florida and Texas schools, cop-on-black (and the poor as a whole) violence and unfair justice system, politics being controlled by the corporation and not the people… as a proud GenX-er… it’s awesome seeing the new generations latching on to the power of true political music… but depressing seeing nothing has changed. The only difference? I’ll put it this way: Rodney King was just the first of tens of thousands of George Floyds…. It’s just now on camera more often now since everyone has one….
@@MainelyW212 the real problem is that back then the left and right were one and the same, and these days people have forgotten that. letting all the media program you... fucking bullet in your head is the whole meaning of this song........ left right = two sides of the same coin

@@barkley8285 troll. GFY.
@@barkley8285 ok you know nothing about this band obviously!!!!
With how everything is in America these days, listening to this....it's angry music. Rightfully so, however, I couldn't help but be moved to almost tears with this performance. All of their music is still relevant, the needed anger and rawness of Zacs voice....all of it culminates into the anger and despair that I feel, and I know many others feel. The comeback was needed greatly. I'm not old enough to have been around for their early years, but god damn it, I feel like this is still fresh, and not a revival.
Fuck yea man!
its just a shame that it kinda sounds like shit lol
Yet dumb people will keep voting for the “good guys” who continue to make America worse and raise taxes until we’re broke, hungry, and desperate.
I see kooks wearing RATM gear yet advocating for more big government solutions. It is truly hilarious.

Arguably 1 of the best decades for music imo....
Tool lmao, they're trash.
That was one of the best rock shows of my life. They KILLED it. I can't imagine them having any more energy and any more of a message in the 1990s. Just, phenomenal.

I was front row in front of Zack at this show. Been to over 160 concerts but nothing was more vicious than the energy in that pit.
There were some moments where the crowd in the pit sang so loudly that zack just looked at us and smiled so widely. You could tell he felt so glad to be back.
I loved this band for almost 30 years and never saw them live. A couple days ago I saw them in Cleveland and when they came out I almost passed out like a Micheal Jackson fan girl back in the 80's. I can't tell you how much this concert and band mean to me. I was to... like..frozen in the moment to think to take any videos so I really appreciate you uploading this so I can see it again when I am feeling like a normal person.
I was at Cleveland as well. Hands down best concert I've ever been too.
Same! I just saw them for their first of 2 DC shows, and your explanation of how you reacted when they came out was me 1000%! LOL! I think I was transported to another dimension and was jumping, screaming, singing etc for the ENTIRE set! It was the 2nd most expensive concert ticket I've ever bought...but after 30 years I couldn't NOT be towards the front! I'm glad you had a good time as well!
I was at night 2 in dc and 5 feet from stage hands down best show ever and time i almost cried tears of joy and fucking moshed like it was 96
@@vitaminC7657 omg so many Gen Xers here representing!!@

Was such a great show. The crowd was so into it and to think, these songs are 30 years old and still apply today. ✊🏼
Of course, history doesn't change ,it repeats - because there are always new young sheeps coming in for shaving 🤬😷🤬💪
Yeah, like: “we’re going to totally rage against the machine by saying if you don’t take an experimental injection at the behest of the government you shouldn’t be able to live in society”. Man, that’s so against the machine!

Rage was the first concert i went to without a adult :,) way back in 1997
Atari Teenage Riot and WuTang Clan opened for them! i’ll never forget that show. I was 15. First time i drank a beer and first time i saw boobs in real life 😂
Let’s get this straight ATR opened up for Rage and Wu. Wu and Rage co-headlined that tour
That’s awesome
Same lineup in Austin, minus Wu-Tang
Dude, this is so dope haha, I was 22 years old at this time and went to Atari Teenage Riot show here in Brazil in a very small place, it was freaking awesome, lovely memories.
hahahaha best comment ahahaha
Was traveling in Paris in ‘93 and some people i met invited me to the Suicidal Tendencies show at Elysee Montmartre. Opening band took the stage and said “we are RATM from Los Angeles California” and just crushed it. Sounded like Public Enemy but with a band and I’ve loved it ever since!
@@jimbobb3509 you????
Got to see them back in the day and they played the same night as the Republican National Convention here in MN. It was surreal to walk out after the show and see a wall of armed riot police waiting for chaos to ensue. It never did but wow what an experience.
Mike great to see you here. Heck ya brother 🤘🏼
That’s awesome!
I wish Zach would have had the Drummer for the Mars Volta Jon Theodore that side project One day as a Lion. Theodore now drums for Queens of the Stone Age.
Wow they performed on the same night as the RNC? Sounds like something they'd do. Rage is back!!!
I have listened to these guys since the late nineties, but never saw them live. The tickets for this show I bought pre-pandemic. For quite a while I wondered if the show would ever transpire. Much of the grim political situation in this country has personally left me often feeling just down some days. To actually make it to this show, have it kick off in my home state and see it with my best friend who flew in for it was amazing. A night spent with 37,000 other like-minded people was uplifting! This concert was not only to entertain, but a call to be activists.
Saw them in Ottawa. Zack had just hurt his foot in the previous show but they still decided to play. Even sitting down he commanded the whole crowd. This band is intoxicating live. It was an incredible concert.
Rage on behalf of the machine. These limousine communist are cringe
Same here in Quebec City, by far the best concert I've ever been to. Definitely will see them again if I ever get the chance, there's no other band like Rage.
First saw Rage in 1999. Opened with Testify, my hair stood up all overy body and I thought the roof was going to blow off the building. Felt that again watching this today. Happy to be a 90s kid growing up with them and so happy that man and band are back on stage.
Even better to be a 90's teen like I was and be able to appreciate them even more back then.
I saw them in 99 as well on the Battle of Los Angeles tour w/ Gangstarr and still one of the greatest shows I've been to. Lost my voice from screaming along the whole time.
Your description completely encapsulates my own experience setting them in 1999. The amount of power is hard to describe in words.
I graduated in 93. I was turning adult as this whole music wave took us over. Theres no way to explain it. But im glad to lived it. Was so fuckin great

I’m not sure there’s another band with as much cultural impact in just two albums, not to discount Battle of LA and Renegades, but the sheer amount of staying power and relevance of every song on their first two albums is, I think, unrivaled.
KoRn and Tool
@@Awoodward7899 lol Korn. Not even close.

As someone that was listening to the first album early 90s, it’s really sad to see them now bootlicking the machine. Wow! Zach can still hold you in his spell. The MC you you can't look away from and your always left wanting more. Rage still shines like a flame thrower. The guitar with his one of a kind signature laced everywhere. Lyrics like a chainsaw. I felt 28 again. 1992, what a year. They sound and look fantastic. I'm stunned, charisma for days. Much love from California. They're our boys!
I've been listening to these guys since I was 12. Now I'm 26. These guys are the ones that go me into music. I really hope one day I'll get to go nuts at a live concert.
I am lucky enough to attend the concert in Ottawa Friday. I always wanted to see them. What pure energy and feel. No bullshit here, drums, bass, guitar, and a vocalist. I first got into them for the music, later on I listen more closely to the lyrics. Strong messages of equal rights and justice.
