I keep a few glow sticks around the house in case it’s pitch black and my flashlights aren’t immediately available or fried by EMP. That way I can get to my blackout box or faraday cages. Depending on where you store your box, consider some glow in the dark tape on the box so you can find it in total darkness. That only works if the box is somewhere where it will be exposed to light during normal power-up hours.

Install a solar panel on the top of your box that can be detached for charging the battery
