Great review. I rock the 88s with a race tune @ 0.7 base & 3-degree side all the way to the tips and tails for my East Coast daily and LOVE them. The ski is just full-send with that setup. The 104 is on by buy list for sure.
Interested in your response, also an east coast skier looking at Enforcer 88 as my go to ski... the weight is a bit heavier than most but I guess the design and rocker made this a non issue for you ?
@@Peter-do8gy When picking up ther 88s they do feel like GS skis. But once you ski them, they ski way lighter than their weight. But they still do handle roughed up snow like a heavier ski. (Should've held off with the detuning, just for checking the edge tune, but was a bit hasty...) Also, the base edge angle was a bit tighter than 1deg out of the wrapper. Plus, the edges had a little rough finish, which made them bite into the ice a bit too well.
Interesting that you had a similar experience! Now that I've dulled them out a bit they are feeling better. I retuned them at 1 degree but didn't go near the tips or tails. The extra grab worked great for groomers but off-piste was a little much. Overall I find myself reaching for the 115 more often for primarily off-piste days. That extra bit of rocker makes em super fun to throw around even though they pack a bit more weight.
@@riseandalpine the extra grab worked for me too, if there was anything soft to work on. But on longer icy stretches, possibly with some soft bumps, the added grip was a bit much. You got the 115? The ones that only comes in one length? AWESOME!!! Unreal! Did you get the 104's? I'd recommend getting a base grind done right out of the gate. Sometimes the edges can feel hyper grabby in the tails right out of the factory. Ride em' for a few days and you'll see what I mean. The dream ski once you get them dialed.
@@riseandalpine yeah the 104 free! Upgrading from my 2012 K2 Kung Fujas that I've had since I moved to AB almost 10 years ago! I will take the tip about the bases, thanks!
I just picked up the 94s to run here in CO. This video made me super happy about my decision (maybe even should have considered the 100s). Either way, stoked to rip them this Sunday.
@@riseandalpine Hit a day at Winter Park and a day at A-Basin! Overall way more maneuverable of a ski than I expected and despite everyone online advising against these skis for an "intermediate" I felt totally in control. Highly recommend and I'll definitely be looking into some 104s or 110s next season for those true pow days.
Sweet!! New Twigs, not only did you get 2 skis, but 2 pairs LOL Looks like there were some Jerry's who came out to play at the end, pretty steep there for Jerry, ripped right by the Jerry's! Haha
Glad you liked it scott. Even a year later still one of my favourite skis. If you haven't already seen it check my most recent video reviewing the 2025 Nordica Enforcers!
Love the new sticks! Sweet colours too! Where did you end up mounting your bindings? People really seem to like going forward 1-1.5cm of recommended. Bring out the new big boys in the next video 🤘
I mounted the bindings at recommended. I don't do much switch landings these days. Would be fun to clip into someones who mounted forward to feel the difference.
I got a pair of 104 free just need to get bindings. Been skiing solely different Volkl Gotama for the past 13 years, can’t wait to try these. Seems like the same charging character, power and stability, but more nimble and have a bit more energy. Can’t wait to get em on the snow.
Awesome man. If you like to charge it's a super fun ski. I just ripped the 115's today and they are an absolute blast. A little more playful but can still lay down a solid edge.
For pow, I still love my Rossi Super7s, my Rossi S3s for rock skis, my QST106 with shift bindings for back country, and my old Salomon Enduro XT850s for the groomer days. My first pair of phat skis were my old Nordica W105s. Everyone thought they were water skis, now they aren't even considered phat.
@@riseandalpine My QST 106s are a "safe" ski, not too much rocker, so they don't "smear" like my 7s, but are much more reliable in questionable conditions, like those likely to be found in the Backcountry.
Skiing the Elan Ripstick 96 Black Edition. Super light, playful, stiff enough to carve on groomed, skis crud well and good in powder. True one quiver twig. Also ski the Head Kore 105's which are also an awesome ski, light and maybe a bit better in crud and powder.
got the enforcer 100's and unleashed 98's for east coast skiing. The unleashed's definitely handle stupid tight moguls and trees better than the enforcer and have a lot more jibbability but it's hard to beat the absolute strength the enforcers have. I have yet to take the unleashed's in any freeride zones but the enforcer's absolutely crushed the no fall zone terrain off the Jay tram with their power and maneuverability.
I've actually got a pair of unleashed 114 I'm excited to try. If they are anything like the Free's, which I've heard they are, should be an absolute blast!
Great review! I moved up to these 104 Free skis from Bonafides and I’m not looking back….they’re a total blast. They’re super agile as you say, so trees and bumps are no problem and they will bomb through anything. Get them on their edges and it’s like you’re on rails…just greased lighting. Gotta watch out though as you can get back seated in a hurry if you’re not careful. What made you get the Free over the Unlimited?
The unlimited was totally on my radar. I'm a pretty heavy guy and wanted something with burlier construction. Weight is always my friend when I'm skiing. Still getting used to the additional tail stiffness. Going to be a little more work on the uphill with the 115's though LOL.
Nice, I have a similar ski the Blizzard Rustler 10, that type of terrain with fresh powder they is beyond fun, more of a religious experience really. I was never really one to get airborne in steep, heavily treed terrain until I got the Rustler 10's, my understanding is the Enforcer 104 is very similar. I do wonder about your comment "this ski wants speed", how fast were you going? I'd think the Enforcer 100 "wants speed", with the twin tip design I doubt the 104 is gonna be as stable as the 100. Where were you skiing?
The 104 is really stable... it skis way under it's width. I'm still shook about it's ability to carve. Almost not playful enough sometimes because of the dampness. I also have the 115 which solves all that and also performs incredibly at speed
I just recently got a pair of enforcer 94s, I got the skinny version because I live on the us east coast, but I found the same attributes as you did. Somehow they still float in pow like crazy even as the thinnest version of the ski. Only downsides I found we're going backwards was pretty wierd and the tail doesn't have much pop to it, due to it's stiffness
The tail is def a tad stiff. I think that's also to do with the rocker profile. Not the most buttery ski I've played on. But it makes up in it's ability to charge when you let it fly. Feels ridiculously stable. I actually found switch riding to be okay. Haven't tried any bigger switch landings yet. 94 is a great width for the east!
Well, the 94 is a bit different, as the widths starting from 104 up are more "twin tippy". And 88, 94 and 100 have flatter tails, being a bit more all-mountain than freeride.
Sick! I'm excited to try my 115 enforcers, they got a bigger rocker profile so they should be more playful than the 104's which lean on the stiffer side.
Congrats on the new "twigs". Knowing how well you rocked your narrow boards, I think the 104's will be go to whereas 115's will be for rare deep days. Amazed how you find spaces between the trees!
I don't find that the weight makes much of a difference in terms of turn speed. Personally, I like weight under my feet. These might actually be tougher to turn in the trees because of reduced rocker compared to the Solomans. They are also a little bit longer making for a bigger turning radius. Excited to see the difference with the 115's
@@grumpyone5963 The rocker is essentially the amount that the tip and tail rise. This means that less effective edge is on the snow when carving but it allows for more float and smear on the snow. The opposite of rocker is camber. I wrote an article on ski measurements if you want to learn more! riseandalpine.com/2022/02/16/an-experts-guide-to-choosing-the-perfect-skis-what-you-need-to-know-before-buying/#Rocker
I do own a pair of enforcer 115 and let me tell you, you have to be ready, these are fast and shred everything 👌🏼 but way more planky then the 110 ( i own these too) sorry for my english, im from quebec😂
Elliot dude... I got out on the 115 this weekend. Holy cow, flipping incredible. I think I might like the 115 better than the 104. It feels way smaller than 115. Such a sick ski. Super stoked about it.
Love it! Would you say these performed as nicely in trees and bumps as they did out in the open powder paradises? Thinking of the 89 or 94 variant of these as future skis for the East. Is it easy to spin around and not feel locked into straight forward turns all the time? (Currently on Kastle FX84's from 2014 and love them for their playfullness and versatility).
These are on the stiffer side and 'playful' isn't how I would describe them. Versatile, stable and fun for sure. I can ride them on anything. It's helpful to adjust the tune as well to reduce tail grab!
Had a pair on hire when I was there. I have the K2 mindbenders 99 still not sure if I like them as much as these. I also have the marker PT 16 s I love the binding but still frightened I lose one of the toepieces as they don't sell them separately and I bet there is loads of these that have been lost in the snow.
I haven't tried the PT's yet but I'm a little spooked about that too. Unless I'm doing a lot of transitions I'll prob be super diligent about packing the toepiece in my bag.
@@riseandalpine as you know it is a little fiddly to clip them back in and as you have probably lost stuff in the snow too be really careful with handling them as I can just see them disappearing into a snow drift . Had a crash with mine when I hit a deep snow wall and they ejected as normal bindings would have, which I hate the pin toe type for that reason as they just don't release as quickly if at all sometimes. Safe shredding
short story long... i just bought a pair... it looks like yours are longer.. mine are 179.. i brought a pair of skis in to have some work done on them and i brought a pair of skis in to possibly trade... i didn't want to lose my @$$ in the trade but o well.. i guess my big things were stability and dampness.. the skis i traded were reactionary... i sure liked what i saw out of your video and i hope that i can get my skis to do what you got yours to do..
@@riseandalpine (yes, you'll prob know this already) but another factor might be that the factory edges will be tuned the whole way along - you need to detune the tips with a diamond stone otherwise they'll grab. Otherwise, looked like a heck of a lot of fun!
I just ordered that exact same set of skis with some look pivot G 15. My current daily driver is Ripstick 106 black edition, I’m curious to see how the comparison will be.
If you want something a little more playful get the 115's or 110's. They ski like a dream in the pow and on just about everything. If you want to have a little more stiffness for carving and harder pack than the extra effective edge on the 104 is awesome. Can't go wrong with either!
Love my 88s in the Alps. Just grabbed a bargain pair of 104s in the spring sales so guess I need to hunt out some deeper pow next season! Any recommendations for north american resorts?
I'm 6'2 190-200lbs depending how much I'm eating lol. 191cm is the right size but I always could have sized down for a little bit of a smaller turning radius. The stability of this ski is super impressive and honestly feels like a GS ski that can still handle everything off piste with ease. Currently I'm really loving the 115, it's more playful and is an absolute killer when freeriding.
@@riseandalpine Your amazing in the trees on those skis. You are so quick flicking them around. I have multiple friends that also have the 104's and love them. One has both the 104 free and unlimited. They are both on me to buy a pair.

I'm 185cm/86kgs, so around same size and 186cm is quite enough ski. So, no need to upsize on the 104 Free unless you have (very) specific needs.
Just ordered a pair of the 2024 model on clearance. Already so stoked for next season!
Let me know how it go's!
I just tried the 115's the last two weekends and absolutely love them too.
No bad ski in that entire lineup.
Haha
😂 😂 😂
Awesome review, cheers for posting! Super sick skiing through those trees as well! Great work!
Glad you liked it scott. Even a year later still one of my favourite skis. If you haven't already seen it check my most recent video reviewing the 2025 Nordica Enforcers!
I have the 110s and I ski all conditions on them love them
The 110's are so fun!
A little more playful but can still lay down a solid edge.
a good old contact point detune would really help with the tips and tails catching
Good call!
I was looking for this! first thing I thought too. Glad he saw it - should sort that out.
I always detune my tips and tails.
For pow, I still love my Rossi Super7s, my Rossi S3s for rock skis, my QST106 with shift bindings for back country, and my old Salomon Enduro XT850s for the groomer days. My first pair of phat skis were my old Nordica W105s. Everyone thought they were water skis, now they aren't even considered phat.
hahaha sounds like you've got one hell of a quiver! QST's were totally on my radar as well.
@@riseandalpine My QST 106s are a "safe" ski, not too much rocker, so they don't "smear" like my 7s, but are much more reliable in questionable conditions, like those likely to be found in the Backcountry.
Man your a good skier!! Going to Whistler for the fifth time in two weeks. hope to see you on the hill
Unreal! Have fun up there!
Ripstick is a sweet twig!
I just ripped the enforcer 115 and actually think it might be a quiver killer for me!
got the enforcer 100's and unleashed 98's for east coast skiing.
You are ripping today, looks like these skis are super nice
Thanks Owen!
Nice skiing. Headed to Whistler next month. Hope it’s fully covered by then.
Thanks! There will be lots of snow waiting for you!
Congrats on the new sticks! Those things will go through anything, except salad.
Salad is impenetrable....
Great video dude! Just got the Enforcer 100 today and Im gonna try them out this weekend hopefully in some fresh pow!
Sweeet - Let me know how you like them!
Oooo. I just got the exact pair at the beginning of the season. I’ve enjoyed them up at Whistler so far. Hope you like yours.
Sick! Enjoying them so far!
I just got my first pair 94…. Still trying to adjust to this stiff ski…
Well, the 94 is a bit different, as the widths starting from 104 up are more "twin tippy". And 88, 94 and 100 have flatter tails, being a bit more all-mountain than freeride.
Looking good man!
thx Justin!
Do a video of you riding some of the bike park trails. Also sick skis
That would be fun! I'll have to look at a bike park map.
Loving the new QST 98 and QST Blank from Salomon. Lots of rocker in the tips and tails make them super playful.
Thanks! Super excited to feel the difference in the two skis since the rocker profile is bigger on the 115. I'll let y'all know what i like best!
and quality built
totally! I need a well built ski with the thrashing I put them through.
Great looking Bobby Dazzlers they are! I’m guessing easier for quick turns being half the weight.
@@riseandalpine I’m not familiar with the term “rocker”, what do you mean by this?
@@grumpyone5963 The rocker is essentially the amount that the tip and tail rise. This means that less effective edge is on the snow when carving but it allows for more float and smear on the snow.
The opposite of rocker is camber.
I wrote an article on ski measurements if you want to learn more!
riseandalpine.com/2022/02/16/an-experts-guide-to-choosing-the-perfect-skis-what-you-need-to-know-before-buying/#Rocker
@@riseandalpine Thanks for explaining.👍
I do own a pair of enforcer 115 and let me tell you, you have to be ready, these are fast and shred everything 👌🏼 but way more planky then the 110 ( i own these too) sorry for my english, im from quebec😂
Elliot dude... I got out on the 115 this weekend. Holy cow, flipping incredible. I think I might like the 115 better than the 104. It feels way smaller than 115. Such a sick ski. Super stoked about it.
@@riseandalpine perfect for whistler😎👌🏼
White walkers always win 🥶
Safe shredding
the 104 Free likes to go fast. My daily driver here at Steven's Pass for the past 3 years.
Such a rad ski. Glad you're still loving them. Looking forward to many memories in these things.
The 104's are my best skis. They handle everything well. I call them Ferrari skis ....
I love that!
short story long... i just bought a pair... it looks like yours are longer.. mine are 179.. i brought a pair of skis in to have some work done on them and i brought a pair of skis in to possibly trade... i didn't want to lose my @$$ in the trade but o well.. i guess my big things were stability and dampness.. the skis i traded were reactionary... i sure liked what i saw out of your video and i hope that i can get my skis to do what you got yours to do..
Enforcers are super stable! As long as you stay front side, they'll do what you want them too!
@@riseandalpine that is odd because i bought the skis to go off piste.. and also to stay on piste.. something that can do it all
My Faction ct3.0 was too grabby on hard and icy snow when I first got them. Changed factory base bevel from 0.5 to 0.75 did the trick.
Good Call! Def might play around with the base bevel if things are still feeling wonky.
Sick!!! Let me know how they compare to the RipStick, I'm super curious.
I sport the 110's and they do great in quick turns.
Dude I think the 110 & 115's are the kings of this lineup!
I've been going back and forth on if I should get these and swap out my J skis Hotshots.
So many reccos - Somewhere on the powder highway would be a fun bet. I'd say KHMR, Red, whitewater or revy
this is such a satisfying watch lol
Glad you liked it :)
What is your height and weight? What length did you buy? Did you get the right size? 2023 Nordica Enforcer 88 179 cm. Love them for groomers and bumps
I just love my 100s.
Sick!!! Such a good charging ski

Thanks Tawp!
I did the nancy Greene program at Manning park one day a week until I was about 12 years old. Then I started messing about in the park at Grouse lots in my teen years!
Hey, you mention it’s light, so I assume it’s the 104 Enforcer Unlimited and not the 104 Enforcer Free?
Hey! Nope, it's the 104 enforcer free. I rode very heavy skis before with frame bindings so these things feel like a feather to me. Haven't tried the unlimited's myself but would be fun to do a comparison.
Do they remove a lot of fallen trees there?. You ski them so fast!
Nope they usually just let nature take its course. When the snow gets deep enough they all start to disappear.
What size did you end up getting. I remember you tested a 191 least season.
Went with the 191 for both the 104 & 115
Are these the unlimited?
These are the free's
Nice skis, how long are they?
191
Man Can I ask how tall you are, cause I thought of buying the 191cm and I‘m Like 6,4
I'm about 6'2 and a bit. 191 is perfect for 6'4
are these 104 free or the unlimited?
The Frees!

oooops LOL
Have nordika navigator, and want enforcer 😊
Sick! You totally won't regret the enforcer line, it's super fun. Just keep in mind it's a tad stiffer than other skis so isn't as playful for butters or park style skiing
Which ski jacketis that ?
Helly Hansen ridge infinity freeride coat from like 5 years ago
You lost me at "Marker..".
😂😂 You must ride pivots ;)
@@riseandalpine I do have pivots on some skis since they are the best but clipping in and out in powder is a nightmare (especially when heli skiing) so I actually have Salomons on most my skis.
Where did you mount yours?!
I always go recommended. Don't do much switch riding or landings these days so I like the stock setup.
You’re pretty nimble in the trees but maybe spend some time dialing in your carved turn lol…
Groomers were ice sheets lol. Watch some of my carving videos then fire some criticisms/pointers my way. Always eager to improve and happy to meet ya on top of the race course :).
@@riseandalpine will do, and great attitude bud. I'd happily ski some gates with you...I'll keep that in mind if i ever make it up to whis in the winter. Normally only ride the park in the summer.

ALSO Your so close to 1 mil views
1 million.. WOW. Thank you so much. Feels super surreal.
crossing tips a little there buddy
I was feeling that! It doesn't have as much of a rocker profile as my old big skis so I need to keep way more engaged in the trees. The more engaged/frontisde & speed with these sticks the less they have a mind of their own.
Excited to try the 115 version since they are more rockered!
