I bought my first house two years ago, there is something magic knowing that it is mine. After years of renting and living somewhere I didn't really want to live, I find myself saying: "I can do what I want here", and I feel so thankful.

Nicole & Jake - just got home from work and had a few moments to unwind and enjoy your latest video. Living on a boat is very similar to a yurt. A home is your sanctuary and being in tune with nature just makes it that much more special. When you hear the wind, the rain, the sounds of nature, or (in our case) the gentle rocking from a stormy day, you really feel alive. It is wonderful to see you able to take the time to relax and enjoy your sanctuary. We also have to comment that Nicole looks really happy in these last couple of videos. Her natural beauty is really showing and she seems to have a glow about her now that she has a home of her own to live in and not just a camper van or borrowed cabin! So congratulations to you both for finding the perfect partner to share your adventure in the wilderness and one final thing... Jake, let her wear your sweater. We totally agree that it's very sexy when the woman wear's the mans sweaters so keep her warm and comfortable as you've got an awesome woman there! Lance & Carol - Victoria

Haha, thanks for showing my book in your video! It's definitely campfire material! Looking forward to seeing you read from it by the fire, that would be awesome! Also, that teapot looks lovely. Stunning colours. And the sweater looks super comfy, I can understand why Nicole would wanna wear it. 🤗🤗🤗
Ps: that Nicole rose is gorgeous, in a strange way it's really the kind of rose I would think would suit to represent Nicole, pretty pinkish colours and bold, really lovely.

    I remember this very well.
I cleared a 425 by 3.5 meter off-grid road, first I used a chainsaw to take down the trees, a scythe , a brush cutter. After I dug up all of the stones, some weighing as much as 400 kilos I could use the lawn-mower LOL.
After years of having to cut this massive grass road i decided to get a loader, dug away the grass, laid a thick membrane and put 200 tons of gravel down and that was the end of that LOL.

Feijoa season has recently finished here in NZ. My two trees kept us well supplied. Lots in the freezer to make crumble in the winter and ‘feijoacello’ to sip. I have to put bird scarers in the trees when they are in blossom as they like to eat the flowers also. You guys are making such good progress.

Glad you like the produce bags. By the way Jake you actually inspired me to start my own food forest about 3 years ago. I have mulched my whole front yard with wood chips about a foot and a half thick. The soil is now starting to look really good and the trees should have a good amount of fruit this year. (I'm in Melbourne Australia) I can't wait to see your new garden.

Haha omg yes I bring my random produce and just put in on the belt too. LOL I do have similar reusable produce bags and they are great when I remember to bring them into the store :'D So sad the impact plastic is having on our planet. Hopefully, together, we can bring more awareness to the world and start to see real changes being made in our lifetime. I think generally people do care and when we know better we have the opportunity to do better.

Nice episode. Cotton is great, wool is also good. Synthetics have their place, but it is tough to know if they are produced responsibly. So much strange stuff happens in the apparel industry. Your attempt at minimizing plastic use is an excellent idea.

Just had Expert Tree Surgeons come and cut a lot of our 30 ft. and larger , maple trees that were blocking sun on our garden.& threatening to fall on our home. Got tons of nice firewood and wood chips. i just have to cut them shorter to fit my electric splitter. The Max it takes is 20.5 inches. Its ben 30 years since we moved here, it is time to trim back those big boys. We have a nice clearing now and plenty of sun. My tomatoes may love it ! I hope ! The Tree men found a really nice ELM tree in the mix and said to leave it ! The #1 owners son , said, most of the ELMs are dying from Dutch Elm Disease. This tree is nice, so leave it ! OK ! I am going to put a mini hobbit door and window on it made from moss and mushrooms. Saw some cool ideas on Pinterest ! You guys are doing great. But I miss Jakes martial Arts Bo, Nunchuck, Sci, exersizes !
