Actually he don't. The fabric is made up with silicone, to be less static attractive to dirt. After the intense cleaning, this silicone is gone and the carpet will stain again fast.
Also he only removed the surface dirt. A few runs trough a ultrasonic bath is the minimum, to get the dirt out of the core.
I would consider this carpet only fit for outdoor use.

All the rugs at the preschool I work at were donated to us. Some were even donated from the families of student we teach. Our boss takes them all to be professionally cleaned and sanitized before he brings them into the school, so see the process is really cool. I know the process may not be exactly the same, but still neat to get a good representation of how they were (hopefully) treated before they entered our classrooms!

Same here. On a comparatively tiny scale, having just used rented high-suction shampooers over the years, I've experienced how things can look better looong before the extracted solution is clear. But the sheer volume of mold & soiling extracted from this piece was astonishing. Quite impressive to see it all extracted & the rug restored.

This my favorite cleaning video you have done so far. And yes, I understand how you feel using the manual brush and feeling satisfied. I think its also a wonderful thing for you to donate this rug to the school for autistic children.

ohhh, I love the informational popups in this. even if I'm never personally in a position to clean a rug like this, it's still fascinating to learn why which products or tools are used and what they help accomplish. it adds something to the enjoyment of just seeing the rug get cleaned. nice work!

as an autistic person, there's gonna be 3 groups of kids: the ones that absolutely love it and won't want to sit anywhere else, the ones who entirely ignore it, and the ones who will absolutely despise the fact that it's not symmetrical and refuse to even look at it. absolutely amazing restoration!
