    great work but their is one confusion..you have taken stress in compression reinforcememt for cold form bars from SP 16 and in R.C.C we provide either mild steel or hysd bars .I think it is wrong

    sir to find Ast1 the formula is different in IS 456 pg:96 , Mu = 0.87.fy.Ast.d(1- Ast.Fy/bd.fck), this formula is very easy than what you have done

    Sir, in some problems I saw that after calculating no of bars in Tension zone, one of them is curtailed. In the further design of shear, they only take the rest of Ast area for calculating 'p'. When to use this formula of curtailed and what is its importance?

      Concept itself is different for Singly and Doubly Reinforced beam, same points will not be applicable for both beams

    So I think formula should be
