I just got this lens in MINT condition. All caps, original lens hood, lens glass are crystals clear, and sigma leather case for $41. It looks like the lens was never used. Can’t wait to go out and shoot with this beauty. I have this on my Fujifilm XT30II and yes I’m a beginner wanting to learn how to use manual lenses
What I good deal!! this is a great lens to get started with. With the added macro function it should be a lot of fun!! I think Fuji is a great camera to pair this with. drop your IG so we can see some pics and lets us know if you need and tips. I always start at f5.6 and go from there so I am not adjusting everything all the time! Best of luck!
Hello I picked up a Konica camera recently with a similar lens on it. It is branded Sigma-Z. Same specs but it doesn't say mini wide on it. I'm gonna need the adaptor for NEX but do you think it is the upgraded version or pretty much the same thing?
I believe that is the earlier version of this exact lens it has the same amount of elements but I believe yours has a coating on the front lens where the 28 mini wide appears to have none or very little. You have a fun lens on your hands! Let me know how you like it!
@@photographers.life.photos Hey man, my Mini Wide came -- turns out it's a Mini Wide II. I'd still love to see that rebuild vid, as the glass is perfect but there's a couple of large specks of something inside!
Hey glad to hear you got I will start working on it asap. I wonder if we were looking at the same one! Lol I wanted to pick up a second one with less battle damage!
@@photographers.life.photos Ha, only if you were looking at UK ebay! Having shot a roll with it, I'm really happy, and the specks don't show on the shots at all -- but I'd still like to get rid of them! Thanks in advance though if you're able to post the vid :)
Hi! I just got this lens at it is dirty in the inside, it has some dust and little particles. Since you said that you opened yours could you tell me how did you do it? Cause I am trying to open the front and I cannot do it. Please help!
Intriguing. It does have great colours and rendering. It has what looks like barrel distortion which can be dialled out in post. Sigma build quality is historically less than ideal. This one has pixie dust magic in its image making genes. I couldn’t work out if you said it has a macro focus ability or if you were using extension tubes. It looks like it’s worth a punt. I wonder how it compares with the Pentax 28s which are magical optics. I was intrigued again by the Pentax 55mm M series lens you held up. I didn’t think they had 55mm in M-series. The K-series 55mm f1.8 gave way to the M-series 50mm f1.7 both are favourites of mine. Loving the pictures. @chrisward9484
So It is just a k-series 55mm and I do have a macro on the 28 mini wide. Now compared to the Pentax 28mm it comes down to value and budget. Pentax 28mm is gold standard but if you want a good value and great glass go with the 28 mini wide no one will know the difference except some one who really knows there stuff. I was blown away by the 28 mini wide and I was confident in my purchase and enjoyed using the Pentax 28mm if that makes sense
@@photographers.life.photos yes you made some atmospheric and compelling images with the mini-wide. I was off to EBay to see if it was available and then remembered just how many Pentax 28mm lenses I own. I have Takumars, k-series, M-series and F-series all with pixie dust magic. No need to buy anything else my Pentax 28mm lenses must number six models. Extension tubes and reversing rings give such incredibly good macro performance too.
Thank you for the kind words! I agree though the 28 mini wide is an amazing lens with great value but if you have an SMC 28mm you have no need to try this lens the glass is marginally different but the build quality is far better on an smc. Glass on Sigmas are amazing though! I don't have a Super Takumar How do you like it?
@@photographers.life.photos the SMC Takumar 28mm f3.5 is pretty special. I always say that hoods are a must especially out and about. It has great 3D pop and renders textures really well. It’s pretty magical.
What has your imaginary deity got to do with anything. I cant take a review serious by anyone who believes a sky wizard controls us just shows a lack of intelligence

Great review, super useful and helped me decide to pick one up for myself. Cheers!
I hope you like it! Thanks for watching!!
How many of these particular lenses have you owned? Enough to have assessed that they all have construction related problems?

@@photographers.life.photos Thanks!! I'll start looking for the adaptor. I probably have one around here somewhere....
Just scored one on ebay; brilliant overview and lovely shots. Subbed!
I have a repair video I'll post they are easy to service just one area is a little tricky. But the Glass is amazing on these lenses.
@@photographers.life.photos I'd love to see that and to learn how to CLA my eBay finds :)
