Heard you mention (around 2:50) wearing a wrist band for electrostatic discharging. Static wrist band is BAD idea, touching chassis to discharge - GOOD idea. Ever wonder what happens to a human wearing one of those wrist straps and accidentally touch a capacitor, open ground, powered components, etc? These All-In-One machines pull up to 11AMPS by themselves when running...think about it. It really only takes one tiny second and YOU complete the circuit and become part of your work. It ain't pretty. On a good note, loved the enthusiasm, thanks for the video.
I opened the back of my All in one Pavilion Touchscreen desktop as shown in this video, but my computer shows the motherboard under a metal cover where yours pops up easily. I had 3 screws holding down the cover plate on mine. I did not find the 1, 2 and 3 numbered ram ports like you have. There is nothing in the entire computer that looks like the one your using. There us a numbered tiny motherboard that has 3 purple tags and one without a tag at all, but I was afraid to mess with it. They fit tightly in the numbered plugs and I didn't want to disturb them for fear of damaging them. I need to know what I should do now?
3 things come to mind. 1 the is some kind of software that is causing the double screen. 2. the connector plug for the LCD screen is not seating properly, reseat the LCD connector plug that goes to the motherboard. 3. the screen is failing, LCD connections are not connecting properly, that would not be fixable
@@TeckDrivenTeck yea thanks I tried all that but get this it decides to do a Bios update and from then on it's history. I'm not no Ace but I'm pretty good with hardware. I even tried removing the cmos. Only thing I didn't try is to try a different hard drive. A idiot that I did a trade changed the video card and that's what I got. Any other ideas maybe to his to get it to boot? It will run I can here the hd kicking in my no screen. I think a all in one sucks. 😂
@@bullrunner1597I dont thing it hard drive. Video card, connection problem or screen going bad. Screen can be checked if you press on the edges to see if that ipacts the dispaly. Or even check if any of the edges of the screen are worm to touch
If the dos battery is not dead do not power on after you set the jumper to reset position, just give it a minute and put the jumper back its in place. Powering it on on a reset jumper position can cause problems. But for people like this gentleman all his got to do is make the customer pay for that problem appeared because of his mistake:)
Your method of not powering on should work in most cases, but I get alot of boards that do not reset unless you power the pc on.some are missing the pin.
Hello! Can you help me pls? I update my pavilion 23-b000en bios from hp site and after turning pc of it doesnt Start. The screen is Black. The power button is blinking orange 6 times which (according to hp codes) means that bios version is not matching the pc model. I was tryinh to find bios recovery utility for my pc but couldnt. Dont know what to Do now
One thing you can try is to to a bios reset to see of it will load default setting so that you can get into bios and perhapse re-flush it. I dont remember if that board had the option but some boards have the jumper that if you set it to different pins it would load default bios. This is a nightmare to do but it is possible to get it working again
good day sir i hope you can help me. The problem of my hp Pavilion 23 was no display, i'll try to change my ram and hdd but the results are the same still it has no display.
If there is a issue with Ram or not compatible Ram sticks installed it will not POST. Put back the old ram stick to see if it will POST, also you can try to reset Bios, that might help
It usaly works with 2 methods, one is to remove to jumper and place it on the other two pins, turn pc on, and then off and place the jumper back on the correct pins. That should work, another one is to remove the jumper for 24hr without any power connected to the PC and then re-install the jumper. Thatbisualy works as well
Same principal applies for bios, Windows password can also be reset by resetting to factory. There are other ways if you need to preserve the data on it but it is more complected
I bought this Same computer only to find out it was sold to me without them knowing the password. It's a Gmail password. Can I bypass this? I don't need any info that May be stored in here
Does anyone know how to unlock the BIOS so that the ADVANCED tab is displayed in the BIOS setup utility? I have an HP Pavilion All-in-One PC - 23.8. I need access so that I can set the PC to power on automatically after a power failure.
If it runs slow, most comment issues are: there is something with the windows that is using up the processor, Low ram, dust acumulation making it run hot
Thanks, unlike a lot of these videos, this on actually work. You are the best...
