Honestly surprised we haven't gotten a Ver.Ka or RG of this guy yet. One of the coolest gundam designs.

That would be insane my man. But knowing Bandai they tend to focus on promotional kits for their new shows than revisit an old one. 🙄
You forgot to mention that you can pull out the wings a bit and they spread out in a "attack mode"
The Epyon is just so freakin cool. I remember fighting against it in Gundam Wing Endless Duel and the music that played during the fight was absolutely SICK

Mecha Gaikotsu is the reason I started building gunpla almost a year ago and the Epyon was my first Master Grade. Such an awesome kit!
It was mine too. Just ordered another Epyon to paint this time.
Kinda funny that this review goes live the same day as the episode of SD World Heroes where Nobunaga Epyon makes his proper debut.
And a cool debut it was, at least when he went into combat.

How few kits do you have???
This was my first MG and I just ordered another to do some custom painting now that I'm more experienced. I wanted to add a couple notes to your review. The wings have a folding mechanism that expose its thrusters which looks amazing! The spikes on the legs are very very easy to break and pop off. And the armor plates on the skirt pop off constantly but a little glue fixes them easily. It's an AMAZING kit and fun build. The dark plastic does discolor the nubs easier if your not careful while nipping. I highly recommend this kit

Remember how I was surprised when this kit was released back then, requesting an order immediately and building a month later just to realize what a fantastic design Epyon EW was.
Ah, the MG Epyon, one of those venerable kits that made it to Syd's Top 5 Master Grades
This was my first MG kit, and my personal favourite of the WING series as a kid. Love it.

This was my first Master Grade. There's quite a few broken parts and uncleaned nubs but i still love it.
I live to hear Gaikotsu say “vigorous” total hype!

We never even got the X Divider, let alone the Airmaster or Leopard. I wish more people knew about X, it's a fantastic series.

Epyon was my first master grade and fell in love ever since
I've had the epyon for years ( 1st graded ew kit I built followed by deathscyth ) while admittedly those leg spikes are prone to falling out " easily glued ) still a brilliant kit with details you need to see as pictures seem to hide them ( the original kit had more panel lines but less color separation ) I might get another just for posing in flight mode
I love Epyon such an elegant name for an equally brutal and beautiful machine the os is a sugary masterpiece as well.
Just finished building this kit 10 minutes ago. I got it for Christmas and it was quite fun go build while in quarantine

I've always loved the design of the epyon it looks amazing, I recently got the hg gundam and zaku 2 revive, hopefully I can get a good master grade, maybe this one

This was one of the first mg kits i built. It still is one of my favorites.
Until now mecha gaikotsu already review three of the kit that i have,hg gundam vidar,hg guneam barbatos 6th form and gundam astaroth.
My very very first ever mg I need to order some replacement parts to fix it up here and there but still brings back a lot of memories

There is actually a White Epyon in the Manga piloted by Wu Fei. He uses his Beam Trident instead.
And it has its own Dragon Fang made from a spare leg of Epyon

You can also pull the wings down to spread a little. One of my favorite gunpla kit. Hope they will release a RG for this.
The search eye and vent below makes it look like it has a zaku head on its chest, and once you see the zaku, you can't unsee the zaku

@@Nico-SV they really need to, we already have three wing units and the tallgeese in the real grade line, epyons gotta be next, and I hope they don’t do something stupid instead like a Real Grade O or qubley instead of an epyon.

Easily one of my favorite Gundams and favorite kits. Kinda sad to see you only ranked it gold tier, but I still love it. Curious though if you have a list of what you consider to be Gundarium tiers or any of the others somewhere.

I just got this one to go in to a three gundam set. It will include the wing zero ew ver ka, the epyon ew and the supernova version of the deathscythe hell ew. The angel, the dragon, and the reaper. I think a group shot in some bad ass poses will look so sick.

The Epyon honestly looks like a cross between the wing and the master Gundam
I adore the Epyon, it's such a cool design. I do feel like the MG does it justice. I have to wonder, though, did it just not sell well? It seems like this suit gets ignored pretty often when it comes to new kits. We still don't have a RG version, and I don't think there is a recent 1/144 scale. Might be an older kit, I do know there is some ungraded kits floating around...

Mecha you forgot to show how the chest opens to see the pilot inside and the wings ca open a little bit to be in attack mode

The Epyon would benefit from having a wire running through the heat rod.
A good test to see if a rod or a bendable object is strong enough to hold its shape would be to use its weakest version, make it straight, and hang it by its end parallel to the ground.
It's also heavy so any arm you attach it on will drop
I will always love the epyon, I hope we see a full release of white epyon from frozen teardrop, I’d personally swap his beam trident with this epyon’s beam sword XD
The wings do tend to loosen overtime, but if you press the wing joints tight enough, it will stay in position. Mine been holding a pose with open spread wings since December. In fact, I haven't touched it for months that its already too dusty.
I got the gundam base limited shiny version of this and it looks awesome. I almost wish I got the regular Mg… it was the most stressful build ever due to the coating making cutting off the gates tricky. removing the nubs without scratching it more was a headache. Still one of the best looking models out there though
That kit was where Jobby did review the Epyon EW after he bought that kit back from 2014.
my first kit and I had to get the Ver.ka wing kit after it . i hate posing the shield with the whip but it feels fine nonetheless.
One of my all-time favorite builds, just that I hate how loose the forearm armor is.

He forgot to pull on the wings :( if you pinch the top and bottom then pull you get the expanded version of the wings

This is my first Gunpla kit. Had it since May 2020. Looks great but not immune to some problems. Here are some I had:
-"Ear" part loves falling off just the moment you touch it
-Exhaust system on the arms falling off when you move the arms too much
-The white part that covers the search eye already softened and broke off
-The front fins on the legs have already loosened
Also broke the beam saber hilt but that's on me probably LOL
Still love this kit though. Glad MG decided to finally give it the most decent review that it deserves.
Did you forget that the wing can be extended to a spiky dragon wing kinda stuff...?

It should be mentioned. If you don't extend the heat hawk sections and try to bend it you'll wrench off the joints pretty easily.
